RIVAL, It Only Gets Better

Beating myself up for being a dummy! (blonde that is)

Ok, I decided to give it another try becasue I really do like the games...I talked myself right into another frustrating session and no words can compare to the ones I am calling myself...I am admitting defeat...I will not play in real money mode ever again at this casino...::::slapping self::: Let me know what you think of these...and then the ones after I left this casino in total frustration.

At least something GOOD came of being so grrrrr....I think maybe the reason I have kept going back is because I really did expect to play for longer than I have and even win something DECENT just to PROVE to myself it really is a good casino..but they have proved me so wrong...which is hard to swallow right now because I still like the games and knowing I won't ever play again for real which makes me very sad. I hate giving up on something I really, really like...

Decided I had had enough, when I went broke..and went to English Harbor...spun a few times @ 2.25 and hit this...too shocked to take a screenshot..and it automatically went into free spin mode right after the hit..starting to cheer up...cashed out...

5 Scarabs, you got the luck, those damn bugs are hard to hit!! I do love that Cleo Pyramid game. Talking about agony, I played the Real Deal the other day, took an offer of $153.00 and had the $500 case, next feature ($2) spin, took an offer of $272, what an ASS, had the $1000.00 case, still pissed.:o
 
Well I dont know what they did to the slots at Rival, but they completely and absolutely SUCK! The line pays are so bad its insulting.

I played 3 of them for $50 each playing at .75c a spin and did NOT either a) hit a bonus round or b) win more than $10 or c) get past the first round of the i-slot. Shame as I think they were on a good thing with the unique slot idea.

Bring back the old paytables - at least I won sometimes.

Im off to uninstall as we speak....

Rival Slots

Hello everyone,

We've listened to our players, including all the posters here on Casinomeister.

We've gone over and reviewed all of our 5 reel slots with your comments and observations in mind, and are pleased to announce all of the 5 reels have been improved. Everything from the gameplay, to the wild payouts, to the paytables, has been modified based on player feedback. These changes took effect at 7PM EST, today.

The games play exactly the same in real or fun, as you have noticed. I encourage you to try the games out in fun mode to get a feel for the changes that we've made.

Well, if its anything like the last 'upgrade' then i may as well just send a cheque straight to 400 group.

I did a quick download again of paradise8 to have a look, and what do you know?.....i tried to select a slot and it gave me a nasty flash movie error and shut down. :thumbsup:

Sorry for the skepticism Rob, but you did more or less say all this last time and it was a dogs' breakfast.

If you give me $20 to try it out again, I will - but Im not spending a dime of my own again until I do.

I will give these guys credit for persistence and at least trying, I received a managers N/D bonus of $50, I must admit they are definitely better, The Dog Pound Game is still for the dogs though, the pay tables have been raised but not to the original state befor messing with them, the free spins have been reduced from 15 with a 5x multiplier to 12 with 3x, I did hit one feature in approx 200 spins. The For Love and Money game was much better, I hit 4 features in about 300 spins I would guess ( I never kept track this time as I thougt this would be fluff again), here are the feature screens, a definite improvement.

If that is an improvement...then I must be missing something! I do love the free bucks tho,to try them out which they have been more than kind :D in sending me...and as usual, went bust...nothing exciting or earth shattering...not even a single tingle, sad to say... :-(

A definite improvement over the last "fix", still not enough of a ROI for me, it was nice at least getting features though. I believe to some they will find this respectable. I give Rob kudo's for sticking it out. ( I am in a kinder gentler mood today, god damn drugs!!)

I got a $10 login bonus today and got it up to $500!!

Looks like you CAN win on these slots now people....might be worth another shot if you havent played in a while.

Thanks again Rob for joining in the discussion and taking the advice of players seriously. A lot of Casino Managers could take a leaf out of your book.
 
IPlayed the new 5 ring circus slot lat night. Even though it's still not paying out what I think is acceptable compared to other software slots (eg MG), it did provide better hits than anything I've experienced in the past from Rival software.

This btw was real money ;)
 
I tried the new Pantasia Casino (same software) and had a good run on the Art Heist I-Slot - I was stuck on the same level for about an hour though which was a big boring - ended up cashing out as I got sick of waiting to see the next scene. Seems to pay better than before though.

The graphics are a bit slow on my PC, which isnt a problem with other software so it must chew up a fair bit of RAM.
 
I gave Da Vinci's a whirl the other night on their free $10. I was down to about $5 betting 75 cents per spin and hit 5 scatters. The pic is after the feature... got around $225 bucks out of it. I can assure you, I've NEVER hit that much on a bonus round there -- even when betting much larger amounts. Things seem to be looking up for vid slot players. But... I haven't been able to hit squat on on their 3 reelers anymore... Oh. And no, I didn't cash out as everything was pretty much dead after the big hit and ate it all up. I did have fun playing, tho.
 
I checked out the dog game last night and it was hitting very nicely. Lots of free spins and some very productive ones, too.

I think I have gone downright stupid for ever playing at this casino again and thinking it has changed for the better ...I will never listen to all the "good" things about this casino from this forum again for it is truly the pits...

Whatever anyone thinks ...this is one casino that needs to be stayed away from in my opinion...there might be one or two sessions in between many awful ones some of you are hitting but I have yet to have ONE good session in all the months and money I have invested...and no spouting how great the changes are will ever change my mind again....

And to put the icing on the cake, I have told tech support about all the many times I have been booted on the very last bet, whether its in blackjack or slots and NOTHING has been done to correct this...and to prove this point..I went and played with my last 15 cents just to get a screenshot..maybe now they will listen and fix it for others that are having this problem!

See the fantastic FEATURE hits on 12 spins x 3 times the win...yea right... How in the world can anyone hit something this awful and not think this casino sux over and over again????

Issues brought up by Silcnlayc

Hello everyone,

Based on Silcnlayc's messages, we did find an issue that popped up where if, in blackjack or videopoker, the last bet was a loss and the balance was below $1, the server returned an invalid error message to the client. This issue was fixed as soon as Rival was notified.

The screenshot posted appears to be a different issue - I was able to track it to timing based on the error number displayed - it appears that the client is sending a bet request with a balance of $0. This results in an error message, after which the game is refreshed and may continue as normal. I have forwarded this to the slots team. It's extremely helpful to quote an error number when contacting customer service, as they can forward this information to Rival.

I do apologize for these issues. Rival is committed to player satisfaction. Silcnlayc, I have messaged the manager at the casino regarding this incident and I trust he will look after you.

Well I decided to play again last night ( after I said I wouldnt), they have definitely "spruced" things up, hit multiple features, your still not going to get rich, the excitement of a good M/G or RTG hit are non existant, however I met a $700 w/r with relative ease,you can win, and great customer service, anyway here is a screenie of a feature from last night, as well I hit $48 on another and a bunch of $10-$15 ones all from .75c.

Heeeyyy... I've not seen that circus game! Who has it? I usually play at DaVinci's though I also have an account at Paradise8 -- but I haven't seen that one. Is it new?

First off let me say these things:

1. The casino has been more than kind to me in offering ND bonuses. The CS might be the best, I wouldn't know for I have had no need to use them except for the glitch I mentioned earlier.

2. Strange as it might seem, maybe there is just that ONE casino that you are not supposed to play at EVER. (never happened before, but it sure has now IMHO)

3. Maybe the "expectation" I thought should be there to be met was a little too high to be met by the casino, which made me a tad irritated knowing all the others meet my expectations.

4. The games are fun and and I know I will try not to return to play for real again, and this makes me sad.

5. I am just amazed at the payouts that they have allowed to be given, and MORE amazed at myself for ALMOST accepting it because I did enjoy they games. ( reality has hit finally with this last deposit).

And mostly, this might be a casino for some, but not for me, as me_and_ed says:

hits the nail on the head. There is no ANTICIPATION which a good gambler looks forward to regardless of what it costs (within their means of course) to a hit they can be proud of. I hit a few bonus rounds between $20-$50, but took that much plus more to even catch one. But when you hit these kind more than others, it's time to call it quits.

and finally went back to one that does meet expectations and with anticipation, I hit on the third spin the LOWEST paying thing and it was over $100 for 5 OAK....this game also offers multipliers, free spin, bonus rounds etc..sad to say but Rival doesn't quite make it compared to the rest as much as I tried to believe they did.

I had a good time with Rival this week. They sure are generous with the frequent ND chips. (though they have changed these so if you have yet to make a deposit with them it's now a $4 ND bonus)

I ran my $4 up over $200 lo-rolling on the slots. I had no big hits over $30 on the slots, but numerous re-triggers. I did hit 3 full-houses playing Let It Ride so that helped. I avoided their I-slots. (cool concept, but not so hot in reality)

I haven't even cashed out yet, and already there's another $4 free offer waiting. (and I wouldn't dare touch that before I cashout)

Yes, they are and am glad to see you enjoying your freebies. Now the reason they are generous in this, is because this would be the only way a lot of people would consider playing at their casino.

It kept me coming back (stupidly for who can turn a freebie down?) until I finally realized how bad it really is and no amount of freebies would cover the continuous losses incurred during the play in own funds. Permanently closed all my Rival accounts a while ago. Wishing you luck regardless! :D

not shilling yo.....just wanted to add my experience that it is possible to win there. I almost didn't bother to try as most of the feedback here would leave one to believe it's impossible to win.

Nothing is impossible, the wins are frequent, the odds of a large payout are small.

That was the issue of these slots. There is no excitement to them. Totally boring for who wants to win $1.75 for every $2.25 bet continuously? Or .90 cent for that matter? These slots DO NOT make you want to come back and play for there is no reason to.

Most slots have a payout that makes you want to play and spend and play and spend until you reach this ULTIMATE goal of hitting a "DOOZY" as I said earlier and these slots fall FAR short of this or lets say it is totally NON EXISTANT with these slots.. and the great feeling of finally accomplishing it when you hit one great win, is still not there. Hoping this makes sense.

I was truly disappointed (not realizing that I was praying that I was wrong during this time) the entire time I kept "hoping" (I am an optimist by heart) that it really was there (the big one) but kept repeatedly being disappointed for I couldn't actually believe (I don't look at the payouts for I like to be "SURPRISED" when I hit a big one) that these slots just didn't have that "BIG" one at all. Was mind boggling until I finally accepted defeat and READ their payout charts (and I had to do it more than once to convince myself)...:lolup: and close all my accounts with Rival.

I forget the exact amount (it might be in another thread a few months ago). But I made it to the end and got something like $7 :what: (playing 75 cents per spin)

Haven't played a 5-reel slot there since.

I couldnt agree more, hence the start of this thread, I was hoping it was going to open Rivals eyes, it did somewhat, but not enough to retain me, I consider it quite a shame as I have always stated, I like the software, the customer service is great.
