Unfortunately the 4-tier progressive "Mega Moolah" 5-reel slot was delayed (again), lets hope it comes next month.

This is the information known about it:
https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/threads/review-of-the-new-mg-games-august.13925/

But at least there are 3 new slots this month, so lets see what that is about... But be warned. Do not get to excited and do not blame the messenger.

Dogfather:
Low variance slot
20 lines

This is just a clone of "Halloweenies" with same paytable and reels, the symbols just have other graphics. When will MG stop cloning these slots??? Now I have to waste another 4MB of harddisk space for each of the 50 MG casinos I have downloaded.

Since each MG casino now is a gigantic download, maybe they can start making the downloading each game 'optional' which other software providers have allready have done. (hint!)

The theme is good and kind of new. As usual the graphics is very good, but not the best from MG though. However I actually do prefer "Halloweenies" over this, not only because it was the first and this is a clone. It was a good theme. I will not review the game itself since everyone knows "Halloweenies". Generally I do not like slots with 2 kind of scatters. They tend to get into the way for real wins everywhere. And the picking game you can win here is very boring, since there is never any really high wins no matter what you choose. I do not like picking games. Even if there are some good wins, you blame yourself when you make the wrong pick.

Flying Circus:
Low variance slot
20 lines

This is actually a new slot! So far so good...
But yet again a potiential perfect theme is ruined by the 9TJQKA symbols that MG believe fits in perfectly with every theme. It is really sad they never learn.

This slot uses the new slot style (some people call it it RTG-style) that MG introduced in the August release(in "Witch Doctor" etc). The lines are different and actually very stupid defined, since some lines share the first 3 symbols of the reels. Very redundant and I do not like it. It also has the same reel spinning sound as "Witch Doctor" which sounds like you are being dealt a card. Not very fitting for any slot unless the theme is about cards (Maybe an idea for a new slot?).

The theme is not that brilliant since MG allready has the "Carnaval" slot with a very similar theme. But there is something exceptionally new about this slot : The graphics is simply just horrible. The symbols look too realistic and are missing the cartoonish smoothness that is perfected in "Loaded" and "Moonshine" and most other slots. I hope this is not a change in the design decision for the MG slots. And I could say the same for the new (RTG-style). The real RTG casino slots does actually feel a lot better than this "RTG-wannabe".

It is a standard scatter/freespin slot with no new mechanics. So now we have a least 30 of these.. Hurraay! I want new mechanics! Not the same old crap with an even crappier new line definition and spin style.

The paytable is medium but with no wild multiplier it becomes what I define a low variance. The multiplier is also only 2 during the freespins (25 spins awarded, can be retriggered).

I would say "Witch Doctor" is far superior to this slot.

Pharaoh's Tomb:
20 line
Low variance slow

Basically you take everything people like from the 5 reels slots and them simply just remove it. Then you end up with "Pharaoh's Tomb".

1. Remove the wild symbol so wild only appears on reel 1 and 5 and not even with any wild multiplier bonus.
2. Remove the free spins feature.
3. Remove the perfect MG slot style and apply the new crappy "RTG-wannabe" style.

Every casino provider needs a slot with an egytian theme, which can make excellent themes and slots, but MG decided they wanted another. At least this is not a threat to my beloved "Isis".

3 scatters triggers a picking game bonus. If you pick correct you can advance to the next level. The best I managed was to get to level 3 and won a feeble amount of 8*bet size or so. Even if you manage to make it all the way, you will only win 100*bet- size. This is bascially all you can hope for with this slot. Please do not post these is the winning screenshots. 100*bet-size is not that exciting and I will puke if I see this slot again.

If I got paid to make these reviews I would quit unless MG decide to fire the retard that has been in charge of the last months slot releases. Sorry for the harsh language, but I am really disappointed with these slots. I would appreciate if anyone has any contacts inside MG would inform that they really of tracks and should read some casino forums to see what people like. I am probably a slot 'veteran' and I do not speak for all of course, but do anyone actually like this garbage???

My favorite MG slots
#1 Isis
#2 Avalon
#3 Loaded
#4 Thunderstruck
#5 Mad Hatters
#6 Harvey's
#7 Moonshine

Doesn't sound too exciting. The last two MG slots that really got me playing were Harvey's and The Palace Group slot. But I could only play Harvey's so long, and Palace Group gave the boot to Americans.

Maybe next month...

 Classic :)

I must admit the clones don't perk my interest anymore. There have been a few good slots this year though: ISIS, Loaded is very popular, Moonshine was neat.

We need Multi-Strike!!!

I agree with zoozie, these clones bite. I'll probably never play them again :(

King Neptunes and Spin Palace have them at the moment. I'm sure a number of other MG casinos have them as well, but you're safe on passing these up for now. No big rush to get to them.

I have more fun with my Atari playing pong in mono on my giant 12" black and white. What a waste, now I am going to spark up my Vic 20 connect via my baud 9600 modem and google "new casino games", looking for one they call Galaga or something like that.

I read the Meister's newsletter today and saw that Virgin (no US dammit) has IGT's Cleapatra slot. Now that is what MG should look at. IGT has the best machines with the best graphics in the B&M casinos. Very jealous that I can't play them online. C'mon MG these new slots are crap! You don't HAVE to have something 'new' every month. Sit back, give it a rest, really get all your creative juices going and then give us one or two new exciting non-clones every 3 months or so. We really don't mind waiting for something good. Just my 2 cents.

MG's monthly push would be great if they had innovative ideas every month, but...;)
I think the business minds must think that a winning formula shouldn't change, so they won't spend lots of money on creative minds when 'same-old-same-old' will still make money.

I played Inter's new Cubis game...definitely not crap! They must have some decent creative people there. It might wind up being more popular than Bejeweled. It's certainly more involved graphically. I wonder what they'll manage to come up with next?

Thank you for the thread and reviews, Zoozie.

I agree with just about everything you posted, except:

1. Remove the wild symbol so wild only appears on reel 1 and 5 and not even with any wild multiplier bonus.
In Pharaoh's Tomb, the wild symbol does actually double the payout.

I do sort of like the Flying Circus one. I got the feature within about 100 spins and it retriggered, so 50 free spins in all and I got $378 from a $4 bet which isn't too bad although I would have liked it to be better (I mean it was 50 spins, after all). I also got a couple of good wins before getting the feature, the one I remember was 4 of the lady symbols.

While the style of the graphics in Flying Circus resemble those in the RTG slots (like Paris Beauty), the structure of the paylines in Nutty Squirrel, Witch Doctor, Flying Circus and Pharaoh's Tomb are copied from Wagerlogic (Intercasino et al) and not RTG. I hit 5 Kings on Pharaoh's Tomb tonight (with a wild, so it was doubled) but I couldn't figure out where I had won so much until it highlighted the Top-Middle-Bottom-Bottom-Bottom payline.

Dogfather is as tight/boring as Halloweenies. Pharaoh's Tomb is boring as well. All in all, it was a rather "blah" month for MG slot releases, however, I like the 10-play All Aces and the Gold Series additions. I think it's safe to say they are probably putting more priority on the Gold Series games than the slots.

I also noticed that many of the older slots re-downloaded YET AGAIN, and this time the software and/or my entire computer was literally crawling for a good 45 minutes AFTER the new games had finished downloading. If MG insists on releasing new games every month they should either make them REALLY REALLY GOOD (like Mad Hatters) or optimize the speed and size of the code and data - many of us have several MG casinos installed on our computers! It's not fair to clutter up our hard drives and CPU usage with recycled games within each casino, only to have the problem compounded by the number of casinos we have installed.

Totally agree with your review Zoozie, these new games SUCK worse that the last ones.........

I'm not going to trash all this months releases yet. I've played all 3 slots and think Dogfather is pretty boring, it drained my meagre resources pretty damn quickly. Pharaoh's Tomb I managed to get the feature and go all the way through it. I won $28 off a 20c bet, took only 47 spins to get it. Flying Circus....I got the feature after 8 spins. I won $13 of a 20c bet (yep...the original high roller I am...Mr 20c bet per spin man).

Ok...admittedly I got the features pretty quickly, but if this is what I can expect from these both, I'll reserve my judgement on them.

You are probably right about wild doubles, I was under time pressure to finish the review as soon as possible and I did not enjoy the slots. Thanks for correcting it.

And I also agree that if I had to say which is best, there is no doubt it is the Flying Circus one. But there is nothing new in it. I had expected some new mechanics in at least one of the the slots.

Waited to play it till I got the new games downloaded -- over 1 hour for my comp to quit stalling and lagging. MG desperately needs to find a way to speed up this download process, especially if we have to d/l for every casino we fire up.

I played out a $25 bonus at minimum bet, just trying the new games. The only feature I saw was the firehydrant (pick) feature on Dogfather. Absolutely 0 features or bonus rounds on the other games. Even at only 20 cents a bet, it was all over pretty quickly. I give the new slots releases a big fat **yawn**. Frankly, if I had a choice, most of the recent releases I wouldn't download.

The new All Aces power poker may be worth hanging onto, however. I didn't take time to check the paytable. Is it the same as the single line?

Sod 'next' - I love this one already! :D
(9 Yellows with x5 cube = $63 from a 75c 'spin')

Yes. Now there are so many games, it would makes sense to have one instance of each, regardless of which casinos you have on your PC. A central repository. Would save a hell of a lot of disc space for starters and speed up downloads too. After all, they are indentical.

Exactly. Because I was curious, I just checked out how much disk space a single MG casino (with all the new games fully downloaded) was taking up.

I knew it had to be bad, but I didn't realize it was THIS bad!

794 MB in theory
833 MB in reality

Ouch! I'm afraid to look at my harddrive. No wonder I always get that 'out of disk space' error! Damn MG Casinos!

Here's another complaint of mine... all these new games that they are coming out with which have free spins, the free spins start automatically. I really don't like that! I like the "Start Free Spins Now" button. I often set the game up on autoplay while I go do something else for a few minutes, in the hopes that when I get back the "Start Free Spins Now" button will be there waiting for me so I can actually WATCH the free spins. You know, instead of coming back to a win of 7 or 8 times my bet size and having to reverse-engineer the amount I won in order to figure out which symbols gave my bankroll such a tremendous boost.

I prefer the Start free spins button, too. I never got a free spins feature when playing the new slots, so I didn't know they were 'buttonless'. :p

Which is why I hate to try out a casino. I've got DSL and it still took hours and hours to download and install an MG casino and all the games. Ridiculous! Especially when I already had 3 or 4 MG casinos on that very same partition on my hard drive. Heaven help players on dial up.

I've tried out the new games now. I don't think I'll play them again. But I've still got to put up with the jerk and lag and spit and sputter and grind while these same games I don't want are downloaded each time I start up a different MG casino.
