Quite so, generally speaking an issue can be bandied about on the forums OR handled via PAB, not both.
@ secret : sorry about the "gumpf" but PABs are non-trivial issues from our point of view and procedures are required in order for the process to run as smoothly as possible. All parties need to know where they stand, hence the FAQ.
The core of the PAB process is described in Section 3, here. You really should read the whole FAQ but if that's not an option then section 3 will more or less put you on the right track. If you screw up though don't blame me: the FAQ is there for a reason, we assume that PABers will read and respect it, especially those that have been around as long as you have. Newbies have half an excuse for not knowing the ropes, forum old timers really don't.
So yeah, stop posting about your issue, wait to hear from the rep. If that doesn't pan out then don't hesitate to PAB (after you've read the FAQ). Simples.
