Hiya. I been playing a 25 ND bonus at Black chip poker (on the merge network) now for a while. I played 1,5x the required points for withdrawing etc, and some days ago i initiated a 80$ withdrawal trough moneybookers. 3 days later they declined the withdrawal, telling me i have to deposit 10$(the minimum) trough MB, + scan in some IDs. The ID is fine by me, but that i have to deposit before withdrawing is what i find weird. Especially when they havent mentioned in their TOS, or anywhere on the site. I have confronted them about this, and they just told me that they can change the TOS when they feel like.

That being said they have offered me to withdraw trough Ecocard without this deposit, but this is out of the question as ecocard are very expencive and charges 10$ for a wire withdrawal.

Not being very experiences with what withdrawal options different poker sites and casinos have, i wonder if it is normal procedure to require a deposit before withdrawing? They also claimed that Moneybookers required this by them, but i kind of doubt it as i have recieved no deposit bonuses by MB years ago.

And i dunno if its allowed here, but the main reason why im not very keen on doing this is that our banks here are forced by law to block gambling transactions which a MB deposit turns up as, so its kind of hard for me to fund my MB as a bank wire of 10$ will cost me quite a bit, but if anyone got 10$ in their MB account their wanna trade for paypal, i got around 12$ in my verified paypal account that i can trade it against.

Some casinos require you to make a small deposit for verification purposes. You are then able to withdraw that amount plus your winnings.

I could be wrong though. I'm sure some others will chime in, who use MB., and who can give you more accurate information.

Yeah, but they should still state it in their TOS, dont you think? I can kind of see that they might want to do it, but my biggest fear is that they suddenly decide to implement more hidden terms after i made the deposit.

Not necessarily, Rival casinos do this upon first time withdrawal. It's to protect the player and to ensure the winnings are going into a legit account. If you are unsure and you feel they may decide to continue changing T&Cs at will, perhaps this isn't a reliable place to play at.

You'd do well to find a sportsbook/casino/pokerroom which is more trustworthy. Casinomeister has a list of accredited places to play at. Meaning, if you run into problems, they can help you resolve the problem.

It's a common request, but the arrogant bullshit "we can do what the **** we like and there is nothing you can do about it" attitude sucks, and is a big RUN FOR THE HILLS signal. They should at least tell the TRUTH about this, and not hide behind all the arrogant BS. This is NOT a "Moneybookers requires this", but their own internal company policy, and their inabilty to say sorry for not including this detail in their terms and conditions, and trying to blame a third party for their own policy.

They clearly do not give a rat's ass about the practicalities for players in certain jurisdictions who's authorities are trying to stop gambling activities, and work with players they feel they should have the right to serve under world free trade agreements.

We have seen the same attitude towards US players. Operators will bend the rules, make exceptions, etc in order to get the DEPOSITS in, but when it comes to paying out, quite a few suddenly switch to a pedantic following of "procedure" that can lead to long delays due to the offhand refusal to be flexible towards payment options that currently work fine when the one selected by "procedure" has stalled.

This leads to the ridiculous situation of players having to try to trade eMoney between themselves in different wallets just to get a small amount of seed currency in a particular ewallet.

However, there may be other solutions to this problem that do not require such measures, or even better eWallets.

Solving the problem of how to get $10 into Moneybookers is only the start, what about next time?

It would be better off looking for a way to seed this Moneybookers account with a larger amount, and then keep all gambling money in there, and not have it flow in and out of the bank. To get it out of Moneybookers, it would be worth looking at their prepaid card, as surely a withdrawal from Moneybookers to the bank is just as likely to get blocked as a deposit going the other way.

If the whole thing is just too much effort, accept that the government has meddled in your private life too far, and make a point about it during the next election. Even the hard line US authorities seem to have cracked at last, and have realised that meybe their prohibition will never work, just as another prohibition in the 1900's didn't work, and had to be scrapped.

Your abosolute right here vinylweatherman. Couldnt find out how to give your post a thumbs up though. Guess it may be since im a new member here.

Just wanted to give you guys some update on the case. I accepted black chips poker suggestion of taking the money trough Ecocard which they said didnt require this initial deposit on monday eventhough it would cost me over 10$ in fees. But today a mail saying that also Ecocard now requires a initial deposit. I guess those guys change policies faster than other people change socks :).

Im starting doubt ill ever get the money now. They dont look very serious either with a live chat thats never open aswell.

Who would care about where the money won from No Deposit bonus will be paid out? :what:
And what is the reason for paying processing costs twice (1st time - for deposit, 2nd one - for withdrawal)?

Couldnt agree more with you slotmonster. Its just a waste of resources and money. And if they were so concerned about the security, why would they still give me the chance to cancel the withdrawal and loose the money.

Anyways now two days after i sent in the required docs they have gone complete silent on me. Not answering mails or anything. And the live support they tell me i can use in all mails are always offline. Anyone know if black chip poker/merge(who seem to deal with the deposits and withdrawals), have a phone number? I couldn't find one at their site.

Odd that they didn't know this at the time, but knew that this would be needed for Moneybookers. Odd also that a policy supposedly set by Moneybookers can often be recinded by an operator, as there are some that say they do NOT require this.

The Ecocard "stall" clearly bought them a few days with you opening an Ecocard account only to find it just as much a waste of time as having Moneybookers. Now they have run out of excuses, all support options are "permanently offline".

It's a load of bollocks, they clearly have no intention of paying, and hope that you will tire of their games, and play back the lot, and maybe even deposit again as they are sure to offer you a nice deposit bonus once you have lost your winnings back.

What about a cheque. You can't make a deposit this way, and they will have to be pretty creative to come up with an excuse like "you have to deposit via Moneybookers before we can write a cheque". It may be expensive to cash, and may prove troublesome through a bank, but it will show up their true intentions.

If they send a cheque that can't be cashed, you can still chase them for sending you an invalid instrument, and having had them send the cheque, they can no longer claim to need "further verification" before paying.

I bet if you did manage to get that money into Moneybookers and deposit it, another reason not to pay straight away would crop up, such as having to wager this deposit xx times first.
