As I stated in my previous post that a misunderstanding led me to stop payment on my check.

I plan on making good of my deposit at rival box24 and want to know if I should ask for any verbal emails stating that once deposit is made my account will be in good standing for deposits and withdrawals again.

Do you guys have any advice? Please let me know..

Even if you make good on your chargeback what makes you think that they will want your action
they will probably look at you as once a chargeback when will they do it again
but you still owe them the money wether they ever let you play there again or not

Good Luck

Cindy

i believe the above is only partially correct. u might be able to deposit again but as for withdrawals hmmm.

They actually owe me money, I made the deposit and they suspended my account because they said my phone number was invalid! I stopped payment at that point, so I guess we were even.

As far as withdrawal's go that is why I am asking, since we are even I really don't have a bad feeling not paying them, but I do feel that I should.

When we have had charge backs we enter the users details to a negative database and from that point on block any further transaction attempts. This is across all billing platforms we use. Even in the rare cases where the person attempts or does some how repay a charge back the damage is already done and we never re-open any channel for them to make payment unless its cash in the post.

Charge backs can do massive damage to certain sectors on the online industry. Example in our sector classed as high risk by our aquiring banks we can not go over 1% in chargebacks in any 1 month. If we do we can loose ALL processing and can be fined extreme amounts (on top of the the fine levied by the banks as standard for each chargeback)

Sorry but if it was me no matter what an account that charges back would be black listed for life. Rule of thumb never charge back ever unless it was a clear cut case of fraud.

I contacted them via live chat tonight and told them that I would make good on the chargeback if they supply me with a written release statement that my account will be in good standing.

They agreed to this, and said they will send that via email in the morning.

Do you believe they are lying?

It is box24!

Can you afford the punishment of your good deed? ;)

You have already been punished for your bad one and the first punishment will be, by far, the cheapest.

Ok, I get the message loud and clear. I received an email from security at box24 this morning stating that if they receive the payment I will be reinstated without limitations..

I assume it is a lie and will head your warning...

Thanks so much!

Way back when all this credit card use started going south, Netspend returned a QT deposit because QT didn't run the final charge thru with the same name as the one they used to put a hold on the funds. It was to Slotocash and the only way I knew I was in trouble was that my Sloto acct was locked.

To make a long story short, I cleared it up with QT and they in turn cleared it up with Sloto and all was good to go. Never had any other problem with either one of them.

Not sure, and would not want to comment on that. All I know is for my company even if the "client" re-paid a charge back and all fees we would still keep their ass blocked. High risk be high risk. But thats just us. Each to da own.

Qweenie, if you made a chargeback because of a delayed payment issue Box24 and you repay, I thing Box24 will probably live up to their commitemnt to welcome you back. As a Canadian(no longer welcome at Rival) I no longer read every Rival thread, but Box24 seems to be stand alone.

I think that repaid or not you will be on a negative player database, especially at all Rival casinos, and almost every terms and conditons I'v signed at says you have no chargebacks.

You need to sleep at night, if you unfairly charged back in panic, pay up. Get in in writing from Box24 your account is good to go.

But please be aware that it could haunt you elsewhere, even if paid in full.

Bear in mind the player who DID clear up a similar issue with SlotoCash (another independent Rival), and got the all clear from SlotoCash. This Is Vegas STILL refused to pay out his $80K win because of the issue at Slotocash, even though as far as Slotocash was concerned, it was "sorted".

Whilst Box24 may well keep their word, this CANNOT be said about other Rivals, who can see the "red flag" for this chargeback in the central Rival database.

Given the damage chargebacks can do for the operators, perhaps these OPERATORS should change their ways a little, and NOT lock accounts at the drop of a hat without proper explanation, or without checking their facts first.

This all started with Box24 screaming "invalid phone number", which to someone NEW to online gambling, who KNOWS there is nothing "invalid" about their own phone number, will have them screaming "I've been scammed" and acting on the spur of the moment by stopping the payment, rather than arguing the case with the casino as a more seasoned player would.

Morally, Box24 are STILL due this payment if they have "sorted out" the issue of the phone number after further investigation.

The US facing industry in particular needs to look at it's own actions to understand WHY increasing numbers of players have been resorting to the chargeback. The ROGUES have targetted US players as "easy marks" because they dare not complain to the authorities about getting scammed, and they know that many of the reputable operators have abandoned the US market. Worse, the software suppliers and so-called "licensing jurisdictions" look the other way & collect the fees, whilst showing little interest in protecting the players. The chargeback is the ONLY weapon that US players have that can REALLY hurt the casinos

But this can be a double-edged sword. IF/WHEN things get straightened out, players don't want to be caught up in a chargeback and have it thrown back at them when they are finally able to legally play at the more reputable casinos. In my opinion, a chargeback is nothing more than a scam. A person plays, doesn't like the play, does a chargeback, gets a return on their money to try again at a different casino. You don't hear about people who are doing chargebacks when they have won...

But that basically only works for US players. I doubt that it will work in any European country as VWM said.

So charging back simply because you lost is a scam yes, but there are several other scenarios where its completely legit. The service wouldnt be offered if it wouldnt be legit.

Well knowing what I do about chargebacks / processing issues , if I did ever charge back regardless of the reason fact remains especially with the gaming industry that even if you repay and make ammends and are given an OK by the casino you are still wide open to having other accounts closed or worse still any withdraw denied by an operator that picks up on the fact you have charged back at another outfit using the same software.

We always advise effed off customers to root for a refund rather than a charge back. We still block there ass but the damage to the user is less in the way that they can still make future purchases with the same billing operator without the risk of their account being blocked, transaction denied or account terminated and payment refunded.

They are rare cases where charge backs are needed such as blatent fraud on the side of the company making the charge, or in the case of a card or deposit method being used by a person other than the owner. But even then it should come down to a refund not a charge back. Remember over the past 5 years the carding and banking assoications have bounced down hard as the level of chargebacks grew. In part due to shady operations by a wide range of so called high risk buisness sectors but also in part due to Joe Consumer thinking they can get a service for free. Its a no win situ for anyone.

Hi folks,

In my experience, if a player makes a valid deposit using his / her debit/credit card and initiates a chargeback after, then he/she will be blacklisted for life. Only exception - if player makes a deposit and it appears on their bank statement under a different co name i.e. deposit at x.com , appears as multimediaxxx.com on statement, in which case the gaming co. should fight the chargeback - bank informs customer and chargeback is overturned once the customer realises this.

A lot of gaming companies have good 'fraud' comminications with each other, so chargebacker details are passed on and the player could find it not only difficult to find a gaming co to play with but also find themselves blacklisted from other non-gaming internet sites.

Although not industry specific there is no global black list and in fact billing operators are not allowed to cross share private carding data. This though does not stop the site operator from informing the processors used that such and such an account resulted in a chargeback which usually results in those user details being added to an internal negative database.

Example we use a number of billing platforms, all independant of each other. But when ever we get a charge back we are sure to inform each processor of the user details and in turn those same details are blocked across that processors whole network from making further transactions. The amount of times we have had customers bitching that a good card is being rejected only to find out they have had CB history is countless and sadly on the rise.

Personally I have never run a chargeback no matter what as I do not want to risk being declined. Usually where needed I have pushed hard for a refund if I feel service was not delivered, and in most cases this has been granted without a CB being registered against me. Joe End User does not always understand the impact that CBs can have on both operator and user. They are without doubt the devils work. And truly detested by all sectors of the higher risk kind. Here endeth the lesson. Never ye charge back EVER.
