reminder......

today the checkbook is considerably lighter after writing out checks to various charities. st jude childrens, fresh air fund, greater newark christmas fund and st barnabas hospital to name a few. my accountant does not like me doing this at this time of year. he says i get too emotional with the checkbook. i say screw him. he's lucky i dont donate his salary to charity. since this is a gaming forum and much of what we speak of is truely not important in the real world, i remind(ask) all to dig a little and give a few bucks to somewhere, or someone, who may be in need. does not have to be alot of money. a few bucks goes a long way for alot(too many) of folks. we are lucky enough to throw money, food, drink away in casinos so it really wouldnt affect anyone's bottom line to throw a few bucks in someones direction. enjoy the holidays and happy gaming.........

Well said. We all tend to forget about the real world in our "on line adventures". You are so right, just a few bucks here and there can make a world of difference to many less fortunate than we all are.

Id like to add one thing if I may

Alot of charities try to mimick the real ones. Please be careful and if you want a good list of reputable charities, the today show did a discussion on this as well as nbc10.com

St Judes is one of the best 85 cents out of $1 go to treatment/stays

North Shore Animal League is another great place if you like animals

Mark Felice.ORG Thats my nephew's fund, he died from rhabdomyosarcoma, only a handful of boys get it each year worldwide with a 2-5yr life expectantcy. He went to St Judes so its the same thing

There are a few that have almost the same names as the real good ones so again just be careful and look up who gets the most cents out of the dollar

Toys for Tots is in need for some toys, they shipped out over 45,000 toys this time last year, they only shipped out 12,000 this year so far, I feel so bad for these kids who wake up and find nothing on Christmas day, not even a tree, it makes me so sad..
As much as I love Christmas I do all my crying this time of year because of the people out there who cannot do for themselves or their kids, imagine how they feel..I will be donating to this charity
