I'm all for 'competitiveness' and the all's fair in love and war etc, but once someone's won a couple of times in a communal- type giveaway done in good spirits, they ought to 'lay low' for a bit and give others a bash. And how about just keeping it as 'winner gets x amount, doubles it, passes on profit'.

It's so bloody confusing and I don't even partake. It'd be far more seamless this way

In Nikan's defence he has run his own Xmas comp thread 2 or 3 times and paid up I believe ( I won year one 2015 IIRC) but his downfall is running them with no money to pay up as Goaty says.

His play style is also VERY kamikaze so could be waiting ages, I believe last years Xmas comp winners were paid 11 months after the competition ended. Of course he does not have to do this but if your in, please be willing to fully commit.

You learn from your mistakes and I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt in the first instance but he won't put me in that position again, don't ever doubt that!

First, congrats Jono for being able to pass it on, although that proved harder to do this time.

In your place, I would have given everyone a second chance to guess the right slot, since there were only a few which no one mentioned. The quickest to answer would have been the winner.

As for Nik, he has done great things here on CM but this one episode wasn't his finest. However, we all screw up once in while, don't we? I certainly did in the past 3 odd years since joining CM.

But yeah, let's keep it simple and straightforward in future. Post a comp if you win big and feeling generous, winner passes it on when he/she wins with the comp. After all:

"The most simple things can bring the most happiness!"

In that spirit, good luck to all on the reels and in the VS Easter Battle.
