COMP IS ON!

Predict one of the 5 winners of CM VS sng weekend. First correct answer wins, and you can't say your own name.
Comp ends when the 1st screenshot is posted.

Comp is self-funded!
Everybody that makes a guess, agrees that if they are one of the 5 winners of CM VS sng weekend, they will donate 20 to the comp fund.
All of the comp fund (possibly 100) goes to the winner/s. It will be 5 winners of CM VS sng weekend, so 5 possible winners here (or none :p).

Each prize can't be less than 20, 1st paid is the 1st correct guess.
Be fast, only one guess, no editing, pass it on if you win.
Anybody taking part in Dan's comp can play.

Thank you for your donation! :)

Good idea.

I choose Robby811

GL all.

I think its time for a re-think on this one.

The whole idea of 'pass it on' is when you've received a prize and go on to double it (or more) you then run a comp, is it not?

Too many low rollers with tiny budgets for gambling here to expect many, if any to throw £20 of their money in, this could be all they could afford to have a few spins all weekend maybe?

Could work on it maybe and organise 10 members who are willing to throw a £5er in (end of month, payday etc) and do it that way, just a though rather than dismissing the idea altogether.

I completely agree Jono! I was trying to work out the point of possibly losing £20 of a potential £50 win if you guess incorrectly - and what's to say the 5 winners will make a guess? I've done a degree and was sat here baking my head trying to understand the point....no offence Nikan, genuinely confused!

I think the normal double, pay it forward concept is definitely the key to the success of this thread....if it ain't broke and all that shizzle.....

It's always been 'pass it on' has it not? Still the best and most practical format....

If one can afford to throw £20 into the hat willy nilly, then by all means, that's fine too surely. I came pretty close to doing that myself from some winnings the other month :p

Probably the only reason I haven't 'joined in' this comp as of yet, I'm racked with guilt

Okay my head is officially baked. What guilt!? I’m going to politely decline risking £20 of a £50 win on a random guess, that at the very least will pay me back my own £20 - and at the absolute most pay me £100. That’s if ALL 5 winners happen to frequent this thread AND choose to participate AND make incorrect guesses....

But fair play to those who can afford to risk it for a chocolate biscuit...

I’m off to play slots...and unbake my head. If I happen to win my fortune - I’ll pay some forward again!

But one has to volunteer, right? So where is the harm in that? What actually happens is instead of just 5 winners there could be 10. Sharing luck, that is what happens.
But not just that. It is no secret, there was a question about people winning all the time. This helps with that.
I was thinking that people feeling that they can never win would like to play and would like to see people that win willing to share.

I don't know what rule changes have been suggested, or how the money is broken down....I'm talking about not wanting to take someone else's winnings without putting something into the pot first. But that's my choice

It was all clear in my head, but I realize now I should have explained it more in the 1st post.
It is not something easy to get in the 10 sec you take to read the rules...

sponsored by Fireball here - I'm broke for gambling,so wont see any 7s or cherries, but with any luck, a few stars and pretty colours :p

I’m still playing on my FS win at Rizk! I withdrew £120 and deposited £20 into VS for the 100FS - won £17. Will keep me happy tonight - if I avoid Bonanza

I took 10 minutes Nikan... I genuinely was trying to understand the concept fully before I posted my reply - it wasn’t knee jerk. But I’m sure you meant well...and as you say it’s entirely optional to enter! xxx

lol well to be fair the thread really had nothing to do with contests to begin with, and now, nothing to do with VS so i cant see problems with in thread discussions

Supa apologises for her blunt ‘mean-ness’ ... it wasn’t intended as such.
Just baffled by the idea that, by winning a vs prize you lost £20 and couldn’t win here as you can’t guess yourself.....’

Lets say it never happened. It felt like a knife to the heart. :(
The idea was people willing to share, exactly what this thread is.

Lets forget it ok. Restart.

Or not

I just wanted to thank Greylady again for my comp. Hit my bank sooner than expected. It was my first win in this thread, so I really really wanted to make a success of it. It started really badly, got down to about $20 in about 1/2 hour on .20 to .30, then rallied back up to a peak of $104. ($88 CAD start balance). Kept between about $60 and $80 for a long time, before a final downward spiral. I did get over 4 hours of play in, so it was very much enjoyed, even if I wasn't able to pass it on.

I'll be skipping on nikantw's suggestion. I've yet to win something on the screenshots for the challenges, and my prize would be CAD if I did, so I wouldn't really contribute a "fair share" anyway.

While I enjoyed my time being a higher roller, the party's over, and I'm back to mostly being a low-roller again. So I'll be doing my best to nab a small prize if I can. Don't get as many chances to participate as those in some other countries, and payment methods leave me out of many people's offers.

Because I feel bad for dragging the thread down (and because I just had a small bonanza win at MrGreen), I will donate the first £20 for your comp @nikantw. I’ll send it to your Neteller when my withdrawal is processed at some point this weekend x x x

karma, yanno

yeah sorry count me out as well. I thought I would be donating 20 if I won 50.

Yes, that is it, only if you win the 50 from Dan! Only then you give the 20 from it.
What Supababe is doing is extra donation. To guarantee there will be a prize no matter what (because it is possible none of the people that entered wins anything from Dan)

Thanks everybody for entering, entries now closed.
Good luck all!!

And thanks a lot Supababe for the donation.
No need to send me the money. In my head donators should pay the winners directly. I thnk it is best that way.
might be good to list active participants so they know in case any retractions, and well, transparency.

Not for me as I dont qualify for VS battles and like Jas probably more headache than able being Canadian, but gl all
