Hi I wonder if you could give me some advice please

I won 800e last night playing Dead or Alive on RedBet Casino, they have a weekly offer 50% up to 30e, so when you click on that promo page for more info and the bonus code they have terms at the bottom, here is term 5

5. Please observe that it is not allowed to use bonus money to play on any Table Games, Poker Games, Video Poker games or the following slots: Mega Joker, Jackpot 6000, Champion of the Track, The Wish Master, Devil’s Delight, Super Monopoly Money and Castle Builder. Game play on slots with progressive jackpots will not count towards the wagering requirement.

as you can see Dead or Alive isn't on that list, but they will not pay because they are saying it's on the list in the general terms, I know some sites have special terms for bonuses.

I feel it's so wrong for them to get the terms wrong and it's so misleading, I don't know what is right or wrong, but surely they have an obligation to make things as clear as possible and not mislead us in anyway. It's as if they are trying to trick people and they are on a win win, we have 0% chance of winning. Ok it's probably just a mistake but it's a big mistake and i have deposited £700 there without any chance of winning.

Luckily it's not a huge amount.

But this is a warning to anyone who may play there and play DOA with a bonus, THEY WILL NOT PAY YOU.

It would be interesting to know if any people here have played DOA there recently.

thanks

Dom

Not sure what to make of this?

Are you a regular depositor, do you make cash only deposits there or always/only deposit when a bonus is available?? (Question not accusations!)

Reason I ask, My wife is VERY regular @ Redbet and plays with and without bonuses/free spins.

DOA is also her most played game, yes she loses often (small amounts) but on luckier days has always received cash outs in full and a timely manner (touch wood)

IIRC she had a good will comp the once so full bonus in balance with no real funds and built it up on DOA to start with, eventually playing other games too but was paid in full too!!

Edit: The more I think about this, the more I feel it is a mistake, Redbet have an excellent reputation and are a huge company, can't see them 'screwing up' over something so simple.

Maybe worth a PM to their rep

If the term you are quoting is along with the promo code you were claiming i say you should be paid in full end of.
Why when you deposit and are specifically given a list of excluded games with that bonus would you (or more to the point should you) have to go searching to see if some other rules apply - if that was what they expected to do they should have specified after the list "this list is not exhaustive, please refer to general terms and provided a link"
.It really is utter nonsense and £700 isn't small change to anyone, i would stand my ground

I just checked and DOA is listed as an excluded game in the weekend reload terms.

It's not listed in the main terms of use, but they do link to their main bonus terms where it's listed.

7.5 Some games are excluded from bonus play and Player is not allowed to use bonus funds to wager on any of the excluded games. The list of excluded games includes, but is not limited to ... (NO DOA) ... The excluded games are described on the Site www.redbet.com/en/casino/promotions/bonus_terms. It is the responsibility of the Player to ensure that the Player is aware of the terms and conditions of the excluded games at all times.

Keep in mind I checked the Norwegian site. The actual terms are in English tough.

Edit: And I just checked the UK site and DOA is not listed in the weekend promo specific terms. Perhaps they should have given you the benefit of the doubt here!
And then make sure terms are identical throughout the site.

They should pay as its misleading. Also with their enormous wagering on the 50% deposit bonus unless you do play HV slots DOA then u dont really stand a chance - (70x wagering).

Im guessing the DOA exclusion is a new addition to the excluded games - wonder if the rep can confirm

I don't think its a case of "being given the benefit of the doubt" Freddy. If their marketing team made a ballsup (and its obvious they did as they haven't the same conditions on the Norwegian site) thats their problem, its not for the player to lose in a scenario like "sorry we knew what we meant,we just didn't communicate it to you correctly, our mistake but your loss!":mad:

DOA is on the list of games , it isnt excluded but any wagering does not count.

I also think it depends on your status within the casino if your a regular player i wouldnt of thought it posses any problem , maybe i should e mail Finn the rep & find out.

i had a chat with the rep about this a couple of months ago and he said it is to protect themselves from bonus abusers, he had a look at my account and said fine carry on and he also said ironically that it does contribute to wagering;)

Hi I have only ever played with a bonus, I only play a few sites at the weekend so if the bonus is available i take it, I like doa, you can deposit small and win big, although I'm yet to hit that big win :)

Freddy

To be honest i knew it had the term in general because i remember reading it when i signed up, but the when i get an email off them with the weekly bonus and it had the term there again and dead or alive wasn't on the list I just assumed this bonus had special terms and i didn't really think about seeing it in the general terms before, I know a lot of sites do this( have special terms for certain bonuses) also i mostly play DOA and some sites if it's banned the wagering don't move so when you got to check the wagering you realise it's banned.

I think it's so bad from their end, they money isn't go to affect me, i'm just trying to bring it to everyone's attention and give them a bit of bad publicity.

I've sent about 5/6 emails tonight to them and everyone they are basically saying its my fault and that is the end of it

here is their latest reply

Hello again Dominic,

Thank you for your reply.
As you understand, people who are working in support are responsible for contact with all players and we do not always have the all information right on time. We will ask our campaign department why the terms are divided and we will inform you about that. However, even if all terms and conditions is not placed under promotion, there is ALWAYS a line that says: "As usual, the general Terms & Conditions always apply". This means that even if all of information are not available on the same side, you can read REST OF THE TERMS THAT FOLLOWS. We as a company assume that you as player read all of our terms and conditions. And you show us that you have read them by accepting these while creating an account or taking a bonus. We have nothing else to add in this case since decision have been made and it stands. To continue this conversation back and forth is pointless since decision will not change. We are very sorry and understand that this can feel frustrating.

I've been playing DoA at Redbet since 2011 and I've never heard anyone mention that it's not allowed to play it when using a bonus.

It's new owners, new management and new rules. I miss the old Redbet I signed up at:(

So by this do you mean if they think you're not abusing the bonus they will pay you out, but if they think you are a bonus abuser they won't pay you out?

Surely that is illegal, they can't do things like that?

If they think anyone is abusing the bonus they should stop giving them a bonus, not decide to withhold winnings when they finally win

But as its a new term to their general terms and conditions its REASONABLE to say so in the bonus terms - in fact more like RESPONSIBLE to do so, as DOA is such a popular game to play with a bonus.

You cannot state that you accept the general terms and conditions by playing and depositing if you do not inform players immediately of any material changes to those terms. And it outrageous to try to use that argument. Nice try though.

Its obviously a mistake and its only 800 euros, they should just pay you. Ask about their arbitration arrangements.

I only joined about 6 weeks ago and i only play on the weekends, they send me emails with offers so I have taken them, i lose and dont feel the need to deposit more and gamble, it's just a bit of fun and i have a limit to lose, if they never offered the bonus i would still play, but with the little extra they give i get to play for 5minutes instead of 2 minutes :)

I don't what it should matter how long anyone has been there, it's not fair if they pay you and not pay me

I'm not scared of not getting paid...ever :)

I once knew the people who works there, but they are all gone now so I won't play there anymore.
Their new rep Adam seems nice though. You should send a pm to him.

They are not suppose to hide or separate rules in that way. That has to change!!

Hi Everyone,

I'd like to start by just informing you that the players winnings have been returned to him.

Our bonus terms will be updated for the better. They will become more player friendly and less restrictive. More importantly, they will be clear, transparent and won't be split up across several different pages.

We'll start on fixing the terms right away and you will all be notified once the update has happened.

Adam

Thanks Adam, the one important question is though - can we play DOA with a bonus????

Who, what, when? :what:

Details please!

KK

I think Tiri meant that when she joined, there were different owners/management /reps, but it's still Bonnier Gaming now:)

Adam is a great guy by the way, and Marius is also still there, just focussing on his job in the Afiiliate department.

About the different terms, seems like a slip up, no real problem, and solved nicely by reinstating the player's balance, and i personally hadn't noticed this in the terms, but then again i don't normally get to see the T&C's for the Uk Geo location.

I always play DOA whenever i feel like it, Bonus or not, and Redbet has always been one of the Casino's that pay hasslefree. Like Jon and many others stated, have cashed out with Bonus + DOA more then once

Great that Adam promised to tackle this, so there won't be any confusion!

When I joined Bonnier Gaming wasn't the owners, and Andy was there.
For me there have been too many changes, but I guess that's life.

Maybe it's me that are getting old and want everything to be the same as before. Horrible thought:eek2:
