Red Lion Withdrawal Issues (Yes, another!)

Hi all, first post!

I am having (like so many others by the looks of it) problems with making a withdrawal from my account with The Red Lion. Like many other people, I too barred myself from UK gaming companies due to being a problem gambler. I had sought treatment via GamCare but never completed the course of treatment due to the onset of the pandemic (I don’t respond very well to phone therapy, in-person is preferred).

Resulting from my problem never having been fully treated and the endless cycle of lockdowns and living alone in a situation I didn’t really understand, I turned to a casino that would accept me and these people allowed me. I’ve spent thousands of pounds over the last 8-9 months and Red Lion have actually paid out my winnings multiple times under ‘Belaferon Mass P’ when I had requested withdrawal of my winnings, so I thought nothing of it and didn’t question them at all (nice looking website, reputable logos etc) but am now having issues. I asked for a £234 withdrawal on 2nd October and since then, nothing has materialised in my bank account. All I am getting is the same response (‘we are assured your payment is priority etc, have had this message twice now) and nothing is happening. I either get no response to my emails or the generic response in the brackets above.

I’ve accepted that the chances of me getting this money are now extremely small and that this site is clearly a con (confusing since they have paid out a few times) but what I want to know is if anyone can offer me any advice of how to proceed from here.

I have read some people have managed to get chargebacks from their banks, I also have my ID documents I supplied saved on their website and cannot delete these and am worried these are in the hands of fraudsters. I bank with Barclays and Monzo and have made deposits via both but am unsure how to address this with both banks.

If I could please ask that people don’t jump to bash me with ‘you should have known better’ ‘you barred yourself and shouldn’t have gone back’, I get it, I’m stupid and will be looking to speak to GamCare again but in a moment of weakness, I cracked. The whole pandemic has been tough living on my own and I needed a release from the unhappiness. I need to look at how to at least get these documents erased or void or find some way to get any of these charges back if it’s possible, if anyone can help, please comment. It would be useful.

Thanks very much everyone!
