Really Annoying Glitch on Zombies by NetEnt :-/

Have been playing this slot quite a lot recently @ Mr Green, and earlier I thought I saw a glitch happen while playing Zombies. I had not been looking properly, as no-one sits and looks for a glitch when they don't expect one.. This glitch happens when the 'Random Zombie Wild' feature occurs, which can happen on any paid spin that doesn't result in the Free Spins Bonus or the Expanding Wild appearing on Reel 3.

Right, so what I thought I saw earlier was this - Basically as soon as the feature started, and before the random wilds were thrown about the reels, my balance had already updated with the amount I was to get. So basically as soon as the feature started, my balance had already reflected the outcome before even 1 wild had been placed on the reels.

So, I carried on playing and waited until I triggered it again, and yep, as soon as it triggered, my balance had already updated with the win amount. Now you know at the bottom of the screen it shows your 'Balance' and then 'Win'. The 'Win' updated correctly, only showing the result after the distribution of wilds was complete, it was only 'Balance' that updated too soon.

Has anyone else spotted this? If not, and you do indeed play this game ( esp on Mr Green ), please do your own observations and post here?

Have emailed Mr Green Support.

Well spotted!

I really hate annoying glitches - especially ones which have been around for YEARS and never get fixed.
My "pet peeves" are on slots where the scatters make a "chime" even when you can't win the feature (e.g. What On Earth and The Osbournes from MG), and wilds which expand even when they don't form a win. A LOT of Rival's slots have this glitch.

Well spotted Mister

I tried it in fun mode at another casino and experienced the same thing as you are describing. The win from the random wilds-feature will be added to your balance at the beginning of the feature. I can of course fully understand that many players will find this annoying.

Yes, I´ve noticed this problem at Noiq. Another glitch that occurs at several NetEnt-casinos, on some games, is a special spinning sound when you´re about to hit 3 or more scatters for freespins. I actually grown to like it by now. It´s most obvious on Dead or alive, Reel Steel and Pandoras box. I assume it´s a browserissue but like I said, I´ve grown to like it and wouldn´t want to miss it now :)

Zepher,

First of all, allow me to add my applause for your attention to detail in spotting this glitch in the game display.

And, as a fellow software provider to NetEntertainment, I also want to thank you for taking the time and trouble to report it to the Casino. As I mentioned in another thread, most (the vast majority?) of players do not go to this time and trouble, although they may take repeated pleasure in continuing to point them out.

I am sure that, just as with Galewind, NetEntertainment will be most pleased in learning of, and taking care of, this glitch.

Hi mate. Tbh, I have also spotted plenty 'scatter' glitches over the last few years, ranging from funny noises before 3 or more scatters drop in, to slight delays at the beginning of a spin before 3 or more scatters drop in. The 'slight delay' thing is extremely evident at Jackpot Party, where it seems on 95% of their slots, that just as you are about to get a nice sized hit, or trigger the feature, as soon as you click 'spin', instead of spinning immediately as it does 99% of the time, it looks like the reels do a quick 'think' or something before then starting to spin. About half a second extra. Don't know how else to put it, but its very evident, and others have spotted the same thing too. I can now officially tell, way before the reels are even close to stopping, that I have a decent hit on the way. Annoying indeed. You play there/seen anything similar?

As for the Expanding Wilds that still expand whether you have a hit or not, that does indeed irritate me too and has often resulted in me changing game! Can't comment on the Rival Glitches as I don't use that software very often tbh.

Thank you for your feedback Rainmaker, it helps and now definitely proves that this is software wide, and not just limited to one or two casino's. It also shows that it doesn't matter whether its free play, or real money mode, it happens irrelevant.

Lol, don't get me started on special sounds ect when it comes to scatters, as said above to KK, have seen plenty of them in my short time playing slots too. I can understand liking/tolerating a glitch like you've described, but the one on Zombies just plain ruins a sometimes difficult to get feature. Thanks for your input none the less.

Hi Chris

Not a problem at all. No point in observing a glitch you do not like, then not doing anything about it, especially when its not just affecting you or a single casino. Sent Mr Green Support a long winded explantion, detailing the problem in full, so hopefully they will pass it on to the NetEnt Team. Thanks for your comments :)

Bed time!!

Hi KasinoKing,

Do you know which slots have the glitch you refer to? We will look into it and apply for changes too be made where necessary.

Please PM me here or email me.

Duwayne

I've noticed this too when playing Zombies at Nordicbet, but I never thought about it being a glitch.

I don't mind it actually, it kind of kills the suspense, but for me it's either "Ok I won't get too excited about this" or "Wow, I can't wait to see how I won so much".

I have played there (not a huge amount), but I have to say I didn't notice that.
I will keep a look out for it next time I play.

No, I don't have a record of which slots are effected - but I think it's probably ALL the Rival slots with expanding wilds!
I told you about a couple of them a few weeks back, if you recall.

They all have this common theme:
The rules say "The wild will only expand if a winning combination can be formed"
But on slots where the wilds are on reels 4 or 5, they will expand if a win is hit on reels 1, 2 & 3 even though they are NOT forming a 4 or 5-of-a-kind win.
I think on some slots they expand if a scatter win hits too. This is not supposed to happen as Wilds do not count as scatters.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks Zepher for taking the time to start this thread. I am sure Mr Green support would have contacted Netent but I have emailed my Netent account manager bringing his attention to this thread so hopefully he can help speed things up internally and get this fixed as game glitches are super annoying.

If anyone else notices anything not right on any Netent slots please PM me and I will get someone to look into it.

Have a great day,

Ben

Here we have a great example of reps with access to the relevant software providers and doing something positive, I think it`s time Bryan (whom we know has contacts within MGS) gave someone a kick up the arse there to start getting them more involved, after-all MG Software has more bugs than a tramp`s beard and their relevant interaction here is beyond piss poor IMHO .

Update

Hello Again!

Well the good news is the fine people at Netent were able to replicate the problem at NordicBet. So now the bad news is that we have an issue which is not isolated to just one casino, but on the brightside is Netent has exculated it and will be fixing it.

Thanks once again Zepher for bringing this issue up in the forum  Without feedback like this many problems would go unresolved.

I will keep everyone updated!

Thanks,

Ben

Ooh, yeah! Annoying when you don't get to enjoy the fun pretty bits!

I meant to mention this on another thread somewhere... Where we were talking about 'pre-determined' feature outcomes.

Try opening a free spin slot in a new window on MGS Viper. When your free spins have started spinning - go back to the lobby window - and you can see your balance has updated to the outcome! :D

Works on Keno as well; i.e - press 'GO' and the balance is updated immediately before the pretty stuff has happened.

Not a glitch as such as you have to go out of your way to be a killjoy - but there you go.

I should get out more. :eek2:

Or stay in without an internet connection.

Hi Ben

Glad I could help :) Big kudos to yourself and NetEnt for getting straight on to resolving this annoying little issue. I know its nothing major, as the majority of people that have played this slot have obviously not even spotted this, or it would have come out already. I didn't even notice until at least the 3rd or 4th session playing it! So again its not a major glitch, but the fact that you/NetEnt are doing an immediate fix is brilliant.

Cheers
