Rank-Gala UK casinos deal

I recently became aware of a deal concluded between the Rank group, operator of Grosvenor Casinos, and Gala casinos which will make Rank the biggest operator of UK casinos. It appears as if the deal went through and Rank purchased 23 Gala land-based casinos. I was wondering, is the deal final? will Rank keep the Gala Casinos brand? is Rank planing to close any of the locations? Basically, what changes should we expect as a result of this deal.

You should wait until he finalizes everything and see what will come out of this. I don't think any of us asked him personally what he will do after, so we should wait.

Hi Avi,

I can confirm that Rank did buy 19 Gala land-based casinos in the UK. However, as I'm sure you're now aware, the Gala brand continues online and is a separate business entity to Rank and Grosvenor.

There have been no changes in the online operation at GrosvenorCasinos.com but we will be looking at expanding our online operation in line with our growth offline.
