Question: Hitting Jackpot on Casino Bonus Chip

Perhaps I misread it, but I thought I came across a CasinoMeister Accrediting guideline sometime ago regarding this issue. It stated that if a player hits a jackpot on a max cashout bonus, the casino should waive the max cashout.

I've searched the site and forums for this information, and now I cannot find it. So, my question is threefold:

1) Did I misinterpret what I read?

2) Has the guideline changed?

3) If the guideline exists, does it apply to match deposit bonuses only, or does it apply to free chip bonuses as well.

The reason I ask is because I was lucky enough to hit a random jackpot at an RTG casino about two years ago. (Believe it or not, the jackpot was over $5,000 and hit at a Rogue Casino...they actually paid off! ...albeit after about 45 days.) Anyway, I now play almost exclusively at CasinoMeister accredited casinos, with an expectation of high standards. I don't want to expect one thing...and then get a nasty surprise later.

Appreciate a response with a point to the actual guidline, if it exists. Thanks so much!

BTW...if any casino reps read this and have such a policy, please let me know. You will get my VERY GOOD repeat business. (Hint, hint, Club World).

I am pretty sure such a guideline never existed.

It would be open to too much interpretation anyway. Progessive jackpot? Random jackpot? Highest paying symbols (5 wilds)?

Most bonuses with a max cashout wont let you play on network progessives anyway, and I don't know of any casino that has a term that waives the max cashout rule if a 'jackpot' is won.

I think this is the term you are referring to:

Must pay out progressive jackpot wins in full or in reasonable chunks, regardless of any terms and conditions limiting payouts.*

If you go to the top of the forum, and click the link that says Accredited Casinos....all the requirements of accreditation are there.

To be honest, I'm not entirely sure that this term applies to Random Jackpots...but to large progressive wins. There have been so many casinos in the last year screwing around with jackpot wins in excess of 100K, that he implemented this. So if you won a 20K random jackpot, and the RTG you played at had a 4K a week max payout limit...you might "still" be bound by that, but I'm not positive. A question for Bryan.

Of course, the solution is to not play at any place that has a weekly withdrawal limit. Harder for a US player though I know. The only RTG I'm sure of is Inetbet. If you win 25K, you get 25K...no dicking around with them doling it out a few grand at a time.

First, isn't a random jackpot technically a progressive jackpot? Given that the network casinos pay into the pot per spin, (therein progressing the jackpot). And, that the player who "hits" the jackpot, wins the progressive total?

Second, if the casino refuses to pay the jackpot to the winning player, where do the winnings go? To the casino? That wouldn't be fair to the other players, or to the other casinos for that matter, that are on the network.

What happens to a random jackpot when its won on a free chip with max. cashout fully depends on the casino.
Reputable ones like Inetbet and ClubWorld wil put the money back in the game pool, roguish ones will open a bottle of champaign because THEY just won a random.

For the network progressives, I think in most cases its not allowed to play those on a freebie, personally, I would not even want to, those randoms are scary enough already when playing with a 50 bucks max cashout.
But if one is won on a freebie I'm sure the money goes back into the pool.

Randoms and progressives are two different animals.

Progressives are network wide, but the randoms at RTGs are exclusive to each site. I think everyone misunderstood the OP's question.

If you're playing on a max cashout bonus, it is just that. If you are unlucky enough to hit one when there is a max cashout, I would suppose the casino keeps the rest, no matter if they are accredited or not, but you won't get the money.

One of the drawbacks to playing on bonuses. I never take them because of the WR, and the possibility of hitting a RJ. Didn't take a bonus at Doyles and hit one there a month ago.

Random Jackpots Not Networked

Well it just hit me. You must be right about the random jackpots not being networked. I don't know how many times I've switched casinos...played the same game...and the jackpot amount is totally different. This even occurs between to casinos operated by the same company. (e.g. ClubWorld and Aladdin's Gold).

Obviously though, several games within the same casino share the same jackpot. This is obvious on the above-mentioned casino sites. So...the bottom line is that it's up to the casino whether to reset the jackpot if they don't pay it...or to keep the money. Seems this would provide undue incentive for payout restricted bonuses on RealSeriesVideo Slots.

I think I just may conduct a poll of the major RTG casinos. Just wonder who will respond...and who will be straight up with their answers.

Theres a thread here (its a bit older) but some guy hit a RTG RJ with a max cashout on his bonus. They paid him the max... he then came here and someone told him to go back and ask for the entire RJ amount. They actually said "OKAY you can have it". So it's not impossible - at least if you believe the post. It's a current member: Addisyn.
