Question about Bonus and Cash-outs

HI All, this is my first post and to be honest, Im pretty much a noob when it comes to gambling. Anyways, it was very useful to find this site and Im pretty sure someone can clear up something to me:

I have a question about bonuses and winnings. Well, I get pretty confused reading these terms and conditions all casinos have when it comes to bonuses. I can understand the part where you need to wager your bonus amount X times in order to withdraw it and such, what I need to know is this: If I deposit, say 100 and the casino gives say 100% bonus, then my balance would be 200;

Now, say I play for a week and I win 90, my balance is now 290. Since I cant cashout the bonus, then my cash balance is 190. Can I cash my deposit + winnings at anytime? It seems all casinos "copycat" their terms and conditions (at least all Microgaming's licensed casinos; I like Microgaming's software and I will pretty much be playing on the microgaming's accredited list of casinos).

Thanks again for all the help!!!!

Welcome to the BEST online gambling forum!

No, at the vast majority of casinos (including most MG's) you can NOT cash out at any time if it is your initial sign-up bonus. Most MG's allow this for subsequent bonuses, but for the SUB you usually need to complete the full wagering (WR).

This will be spelled out in the T&C's somewhere. If you can't find it (for any casino), tell us which casino it is & someone here will undoubtedly be able to answer your question for you.

Good luck!

Thanks for the prompt answer! I figured they wouldnt let me

Its funny, because Im at the moment with 7 Sultans casino. I did the 60 minutes thing and won 50 quid + a deposit of 20. I have been playing for 8 days and my balance is currently at 220. The screenshot below says I have 180 to withdraw:

How come it says I can withdraw? Playthrough says 141.60 :what:

Honstly

The best thing to do is NOT take those bonuses. If you hit a nice jackpot, you will regeret it. Besides, dont you want to be able to deposit and play knowing you can cashout anytime you want? Its just not worth it in the long run

BTW...Welcome to the forum!

That is a bit strange, and I can't honestly answer why it says that. I ALWAYS know that I've completed the full WR before withdrawing and have never tried withdrawing early, so I don't know what might happen...
But... clause 11 of their bonus terms says this:-
If you attempt to withdraw any winnings before fulfilling all the play-through requirements of the welcome bonus, you will forfeit your cash winnings and Bonus Balance.
...so I think if you did try to withdraw you would lose everything except your initial 20 quid deposit.

I'm a it confused here though, if your completed playthrough is only 141, then your bonus chips should still be 50...
Anyone know what's going on here - Vinylweatherman?

The FL Group will let you cash out minus the bonus anytime your overall cash goes above the bonus like yours does

I have turned a $10 bonus into $300 $400 many times an went st8 to cashout an they just deduct the $10

Good Luck

Welcome Brazil, the best advice I would give you about the bonus is:

When in doubt, play it out. And, like babs said, DON'T TAKE THESE BONUSES!

What would you guys advise then? Take or not take the Bonus? As Cindy said, they allow you to cashout if your cash balance is over the bonus balance, I jsut want to keep a safe balance with these so I can play my roulette daily and be able to cashout in a weekly basis.

Thanks all!!

I could not disagree with this statement more

Some people on this forum are very anti-bonus but the truth is bonuses can greatly increase your playing power.
Brazilmac... Yes taking a bonus will probably restrict you in what you can or can not play, and also tie you in to a wagering requirement
If you familiarize yourself with the Terms and Conditions and play at reputable casinos you can get alot of free money.

As for " not being worth it in the long run " i myself have taken hundreds of bonuses worth thousands and thousands ( if not tens of thousands ) dollars, and have never had a casino not pay or give me any trouble ( apart from some admin errors )... this to me is deffinately worth it !

Having said that bonuses are not for everyone.. they do restrict you, if you want complete freedom to play and cash out whenever you want don't take them.
You need to make your own decision

I see them as a contract between myself and the casino, i will check out the Terms and Conditions and if i am happy i will take it, if i dont like them then i won't.

Thats good advice!!! I want to be able to cash out weekly for my earnings, but at the same time, keep a balance. I guess the bonus helps you in a way, but at the same time it restricts you (Im not a high roller, so I wont be playing that much)

I would generally agree with WAYLANDER of course, having made $10,000's from bonuses over the years myself. But if you're playing Roulette then MG bonuses are -EV for you and therefore not really worth taking.

e.g. If you took a $100 bonus the WR is B x 30 x 50% = $6,000
Your average loss on single-zero roulette = 2.7027% = $162 which is $62 more than your bonus.

So it really just comes down to personal choice; if you're just playing for pleasure you might as well take the bonus to increase your playing time, but if you want to try to make a quick profit & cash out you're better off not taking any bonuses.

Happy Spinning!

I also like taking bonuses - I make sure to read terms before I do but since I'm a low roller I can normally play longer with a bonus. I'm also a slot junkie so I really have no problem with game restrictions. I have never had a problem with cash outs and have had quite a few large ones while on a bonus I took. It really comes down to reading the terms before taking a bonus.:D

Yep, I too would have to agree with KK & WAYLANDER since taking a bonus can really extend your play time and the odds should always be in your favor with the additional spins calculated in...the more you spin, the more chances you have of hitting the big one !!

I have not got myself to play slots yet. I find it not rewarding I guess. You need to wait a long run in order to make some profit.

Im a very disciplined person, winning like 10 a day on one casino is enough for me. I guess I will avoid any bonuses then so that I can at least cash out whenever I feel like without having to go live help and try to figure out what I have to wager still to get anything out of my account

Since you play Roulette, there is a danger you could be flagged as a "bonus abuser" should you cash out early. Since you seem to be interested at playing at all their sites, it would be best to avoid being flagged here. Do NOT open ANY MORE FL ACCOUNTS till you have managed to both clear the WR, AND receive the cash-in. Problems only appear at the time of withdrawal, casinos never seem to realise you are an "undesirable player" while you are only depositing.

The SUB is different from other bonuses, and it has been pointed out that this standard banking screen is, in many cases, PLAIN WRONG, as it can be superceded by the terms and conditions.

That figure is the amount played, not the amount LEFT to play, and shows you are some way short. 40 in bonus takes 30x40=1200 to clear. You are well up on your 20 credit deposit, and stand to lose a fair bit should you trip up on their bonus rules. Roulette is usually weighted at 50%, and only American Roulette is fully weighted. This would take a further 2200 of wagering on most Roulettes, and 1100 on American Roulette to clear WR.

Some slots can be played at a very low stake, and are a good way of trying to preserve much of this Roulette win while meeting WR, and will have the additional effect of making you look less and less like a "bonus abuser".

Munchkins is a good choice for this, 0.15 a spin or 0.30 a spin (15 lines, 1 coin, 0.01 or 0.02).
You could try the Thunderstruck variants, 9 line and 0.01 or 0.02 per line. Do not put too much through any one slot, but move if it seems "dead" after, say, 5 credits worth of play.
Once you have cleared WR, (no bonus balance, all cash), you should have no trouble withdrawing, although you will probably suffer the verification process, where they will ask for documents, images of any cards used, and a photo ID. You may not have to provide these if cashouts are small, and can go back to the method used to make the deposit.

You could even try out my Treasure Ireland "Fruitie emptier", details in the "Treasure Ireland - HELP!!!" thread, although KK here would STRONGLY advise against it, having been roundly defeated on his attempt.:D
