Purple Lounge - website problems

I am having problems with Purple Lounge. This is as far as I can get:mad:

I do not know the sub-address for the casino, and this error gives me no chance to navigate through to it because it is on the index page:mad:

I know this error, it's PERMANENT, and is a problem that Microsoft and Adobe have had for ages (conflict between explorer and FLASH plug-in), but they WILL NOT ISSUE A FIX.

It is NOT a general problem, it is SPECIFIC to a particular way of web programming that incorporates Flash. I can see Flash content OK on the majority of sites, but there is something some Flash coders include that is not valid with Internet Explorer.

I can view such sites fine in FireFox, which I have installed for back-up.

Here is what happens with Firefox.

1) It requests a missing plug-in, the Adobe Flash player.

2) I install the player, and restart Firefox. No error as with Internet Explorer, but what is of HUGE concern is that there is NO ACCESS TO TERMS & CONDITONS. I had though that the link "download casino" would take me to a page containing INFORMATION, including T & C, and current promotions, AS WELL as a link for a direct download.

I was not so much interested in the terms, but to check on the Sunday Bonus to see if it was still available, and what the rules were.

From a users point of view, this is unsatisfactory. The PREVIOUS version of Purple-Lounge<dot>com worked absolutely fine. I could navigate down to the casino, read all the terms, promotions etc, and there was a further link to the actual download page.

It is no good going for what may be a "bells & whistles" approach to website design if it leaves users out in the cold because it doesn't provide the necessary functionality.

In the first FireFox version, there is no flash player, (just place holders), but still, WERE ARE THE TERMS & CONDITIONS EVEN HERE - there are simply NO clickable links ANYWHERE, not even at the bottom of the page.

Why don't you try upgrading to IE 7 maybe this will help..or maybe Purple Lounge does not work well with IE. I prefer FireFox over IE anyday..

Why don't install the flash player? It only take a few minutes to install.

I have installed the Flash player for both Firefox and IE, this is the problem.

There is a coding error that means a few flash player events cause this error, but most do not. Looking at ones that do, and ones that play fine, I can see no obvious difference.

I have now moved into the Viper lobby, and it is becoming clear that Purple-Lounge are having problems. The banking screen is ever so slow to load. Blank white at first, and it is so slow I can literally see each item being drawn on the screen!!!! This is despite me having 10Mbit broadband (might even be 20Mbit now).
I made a Neteller deposit, and again the lobby just stopped responding, but it didn't at least throw one of those horrible error (yet) where the money leaves Neteller and never appears in the purse, and needs intervention from CS.

IE 8 is not an option on my old machine (not compatable with old OS), but I have to use this machine as I intended to generate a claim weekly bonus email from the clickable claim link. I now have to copy the link down on paper, and type it into outlook.

Flash player or not, it still does not excuse the lack of (easy) access to terms and conditions directly from the home page, something I thought was one of the key standards for accreditation. I can access promotions (and presumably the terms) through BANKING in the Viper lobby, not exactly obvious - and no good if you want that information BEFORE registering an account.

To me, this page looks very much like those fake landing pages linked to from spam. You can ONLY download, you cannot access any information first.
I don't for one minute believe Purple Lounge intended this to be the case, but their web designer has gone for "fancy stuff", but neglected the basic ease of functionality that makes the site accessible to everyone.

This is what I am now suffering in the Lobby:mad:

1) After requesting a Neteller deposit, the screen froze. During the freeze, that damn annoying "do you want help" livechat floater appeared, but offered NO SODDING BUTTONS to ASK for help:mad:
This probably completely screwed up the depositing process, because below is what then happend.
FF Sake, to webdesigners DO NOT INTERRUPT AN ONGOING DEPOSIT WITH A "floater" application. Neteller deposits are dicey enough, and you are supposed to LEAVE THE SCREEN WELL ALONE till the deposit process is concluded. I do not know for sure, but the corrupt "floater" could have crashed the Neteller deposit process, and this could be a minefield. Contact Neteller for the code, send it to PL, wait....... etc.....

2) I attempted to get back in to see if the deposit had, after all, worked (they go to the wallet, not the casino). No Luck, site seems down altogether now.
I can bitch & moan here, so it's not MY connection, it is a severe throttling of bandwidth between here and specifically the Purple-Lounge.com servers, and this is the SECOND time in a month this throttling problem has happened.

If I was playing Purple-Lounge POKER, this would be a HUGE issue, as Poker is a "real time" game, and I would constantly be getting kicked off, or being unable to put through a deposit in time for an event.

Click inside the error page and click on refresh. I have this type of error each time I play @ a RTG casino..also check your internet connection because sometimes they can kick out of your connection @ times..

Doesn't work, get "page cannot be refreshed" error, probably because it is a secure connection (https).

If my internet connection itself was the problem, I would have trouble with ALL sites, not just one single domain. For the problem to be so specific, it has to be very close to their end.

The deposit request did NOT hit Neteller though, so I don't have all that "red tape" to struggle through.

Another MGS casino has started to play up now, so maybe the problem has something to do with the 6 new games just released - this is when most problems with MGS casinos ocurr.
Ladbrokes is stuck in a pre-launch infinite loop (detailed in a different thread).

I hope to bring MGS to the table to listen to these concerns. The problem I had (along with others) with 32Red's last MGS Tournament was reported to MGS through 32Red CS, and MGS simply buried the issue, I never heard back, and it is near on 2 MONTHS!!! MGS Tournaments CONTINUE to have these problems, have done for over 2 years, and MGS will not even say they are looking into it, nor even acknowledge that complaints have even been made (so they are calling 32Red liars in effect - 32Red say they are sending it up to MGS, and I believe them).

I think casinos that are only available on the current version of internet explorer, are possibly losing revenue for themselves. As not everyone can use the current version due to not having the right windows. I am still using internet explorer 6 as I have windows 2000 and you can't upgrade to internet explorer 7 unless you have at least windows XP or higher, which sucks, and is a way for microsoft to get more money in, by forcing their customers to buy a newer version of windows if they want to continue with the latest I.E. So in protest I mainly now use firefox, which doesn't seem to exclude people on the type of windows they are using.

My desktop system (XP) still has IE6 and works fine with MG casinos. I use FF and have never upgraded IE for obvious reasons :)

VWM I have noticed in the last couple of weeks the PL deposit screen is taking an excessively long time to appear. Luckily for me it will appear after about 30 secs or so.

I also have the Lads problem. It is only about 1 in 5 though.

It got even wierder:confused:

I checked Neteller after the lock out, and the money was NOT taken, but about half an hour later, it WAS:confused:

I have not known a Neteller deposit disconnect, and then LATER succeed, a timeout has always meant a failure, either with or without a mess to clean up (gone from Neteller - not in casino).

Ladbrokes fired up properly next time, but Mega Moolah played crap - didn't even make 4xWR on my initial deposit to get my 200% special bonus - that is dire, and I STILL didn't make it after ANOTHER 50 just now for the scratchcard (might as well:D).
I haven't even got around to doing the Mad Hatters promo.

Hi VWM,

Has this issue started to occur recently, or has it been happening since we did the website change?

We are aware of the slow banking service at present, and have our technical team looking into this.

Thanks,
J

Since the website change. Someone posted a screenshot of your current site. The earlier version worked fine, it is the later one, which Firefox shows as having 3 flash player items, that falls over with that fatal Windows Explorer error, which is permanent. It is only a minority of flash content that does it, but the only thing that will cure it is another website change, and even this is not certain.

Even after I install the flash player plugin to Firefox, alll I see is a blank white area, not what it should be.

There is STILL the issue that there is no way to navigate off of this page into "terms and conditions", "about us". I know that under the old design this front page gave these further links to navigate deeper into the specific products of Casino and Poker. The addition of betting is what seems to have created this issue, because it needed a website change.
I clicked on the "download casino" link, since I hoped it would take me the the page for the "download casino", and give me navigation access to what I needed, which were the promotions for existing players, and their rules.

I know that these can be accessed through the lobby, but presently your known technical issues make this a very difficult process, for I have to first access banking, which is either slow, or impossible.
This issue with the banking system has been very noticeable for the past month, and I have to press home the fact that the floating "bubble" that appears should NOT block a Neteller deposit process that is simply taking longer than usual to resolve. It is important that the webpage is NOT INTERFERED WITH in any way till a deposit process completes. Neteller deposits are particularly sensitive to the slightest problems, causing a mess where money is taken, but not forwarded to the merchant.
When this help "bubble" sank over my very slow to resolve Neteller deposit process, it was displayed corruptly, with the "yes please" " no thank you" option buttons missing, and merely the "do you need help" showing. This meant I was unable to click "no thank you", and soon after the page crashed as shown in my screenshot. I feared the worst, but when I checked, the money had NOT vanished from Neteller.
I logge back in later, and found 25 in the purse. I found this had now been taken from Neteller, but this is very odd indeed, since the process had initially failed without the request even getting as far as Neteller (where it would either show as taken or declined), but somehow the deposit was later made without me doing it again.
Your banking server is not only very slow, it is also acting very weird.
