Are sweeps casinos required to post any kind of licensing or account numbers or licensing authority on their website? Furthermore, if they decline to provide you with any legalities whatsoever when asked should that be an indicator for a scam,

Yeah, the inside talk about the Sweeps sites is that they seem to think they can operate in the shadows and that’s fine and dandy. It is not fine and dandy. Whether they band their “not a money site” drum or not the truth is that they DO get into the money, that’s why they are doing what they do. And if they’re taking money then they should be regulated … but a good many of them manage to avoid that.

So, to answer your question, if anyone asked me “should I trust a site that refuses to offer their license info?” I would say “run, don’t walk, in the opposite direction”. There is a few very isolated cases where that is (barely) acceptable. but in general no license or “we have one but can’t tell you” is a serious problem no matter how you slice it.
