The sooner the BBC loses its charter, the better. It's a free country and media outlets are entitled to choose their own point of view. Only the BBC are supposed to be politically neutral on the grounds that people are forced to pay for it under threats of fines and/or imprisonment, unlike any other media entity in the free world. This archaic system was scrapped in NZ and most other countries that forced people to pay for a national broadcaster. Even Tass and Pravda in the old USSR were free to the citizens.
This corrupt shower should be forced to raise their own funding on a voluntary subscription basis - then they'd see how popular they really are.

And with that comes the smug virtue-signalling, kowtowing & pandering....

Only way to really get at the BBC is to say the Royals suck, as does their coverage. Watch them break down in tears!

I hate the BBC for what it has become. However even when I was at school I thought that many lyrics to hymns and anthems where archaic. The lyrics of Land of hope and glory where for a life way back when so I really do not see what harm it will do to anyone if they where stuck in room 101? I recall New Labour at the beginning of their tenure threatening the BBC with withdrawing its licence,or at the very least holding high level meetings in regards to its possible withdrawal. They threatened them for the very same reason that the Tories have threatened them recently. Political bias.
Both parties do so for the same reason- To keep the BBC on message with whichever party is in power.
We live in a corrupt world and the media is one of the easiest corrupted

There are many others that are not on that list. They have very successful ways and means of covering up and shutting down investigations that have came to light due to public scrutiny.
Take "Nick the fantasist". Was it Karl Beach?
A lot of people came forward and gave their accounts about the same abusers with very similar detail despite having no way of knowing each others testimonies or each other. Many of these where/are quite disturbed due to their abuses,horrific starts in life which led to them being exposed to abuse as well as often self medicating in order to deal with what has happened to them and what life was left for them to continue dealing with.
They cherry picked Karl Beach because he was a messed up guy who lied ( Probably) and they knew he was lying.
Prosecute and find guilty the person lying, reinforce it with the help of the media then those who actually where abused are forgotten/ignored and feel totally unable to pursue their own valid cases.
Police,judges,politics, religions,councils,social workers,the media and the abusers themselves who are often part of the list I have just mentioned are all part of the cover up.

I heard from a family member of someone they knew who froze water in casts of 50p peaces then fed them into there electric meter and tv meter. When the guys came round to collect the money they didn't understand how there was no money in those meters. But one got rusty!

Let's be honest, when's the last time people really watched BBC...

Last decent output of theirs was mid-2000 to early 2010s, and that was mainly BBC Three (which has now been stripped if not completely abolished)

The signs were there when they lost F1 coverage, and more recently the cheeky b*stards were even thinking of monetizing Wimbledon, as even though it's their crown jewel, it's clearly expensive for them to run (boo hoo)

Plus it gives them a chance to wheel out Sue Barker, as they can't get rid of her. And she was less than capable of doing anything else, hell, she even botched up her work experience in the staff canteen by boring everyone to death
