Prestige Casino using Playtech

I suspected they were switching to Playtech when their email of a few days ago announced their new upgrade would include many new games AND blackjack switch. This morning I checked out their new upgrade. Sure enough, it is Playtech. Another Boss Media jumps ship. However, at this moment on Saturday morning, Boss Media's webpage still lists them as clients and Playtech's webpage does not list Prestige (or Playgate).

When reading Prestige's new webpage, their terminology is still mostly from their old site. They still list Web Dollar. They still list "mini baccarat". Perhaps they are still putting it all together or I am wondering if they are somehow not with the Playtech group but are using that software.

It's all rather confusing to me. But I can understand why so many casinos have jumped from the Boss Media ship. Their software just doesn't cut it. Although I have always been impressed with their integrity and lack of player complaints, their software just doesn't offer a lot of variety. And it's slow. I applaud them for the new video poker games at Pharaoh's but again, it is SO slow. Boss Media's slot machines are another example of poor decisions, imho. They go for months and months without being hit. Contrast that to Microgaming where their Cash Splash hits every couple days.

So I post this hoping to learn from other posters some more info on what is happening with Boss Media, Prestige and Playgate Casino, and, of course, Playtech. Have you seen the list of Playtech clients lately? Check their website. The list is huge. (now if they could only do something about Black Widow - Grandbanks, etc. )

looks like Prestige and Playgate are doing things a little different. For some reason I thought they were sisters. But at the new Prestige I was prompted to use my old user name and password. At Playgate, it looks like they want you to open a new account.

I may just wait until the dust settles.

Did you read it properly? :

Did you register at PlayGate Casino?
More info for your update

VERY IMPORTANT:
After installing the new update software version you should use your username and password as usual. Please, don't create a new account, in this way you'll find all your data, your balance, your assigned level in the reward program and all your privileges and advantages gained during the time period.

No, I did not read it properly. Thankyou for bringing this to my attention. Like I said, it was early in the morning. Guess I was half asleep. :)

However, I just looked at both sites. Their bonus rules seem to differ a bit. Playgate seems to have incorporated the same style of bonus system as many other Playtech sites. That is, they take back the bonus upon cashout. I first noticed that when Golden Palace joined their ranks. Soon after that, several of them adopted that system. It was like a disease. Ha! Thanks a lot Golden Palace.

Anyway, both Prestige and Playgate are still listed with Boss Media. So what's the deal? I'm so confused. :eek2:

Another difference I noted was their comp points. 300 points = $1. Gee, that seems a little chinzee. Wager $3000 and get a dollar. woohoo! Every other place that I've seen at least gives .1%. I wonder what prompted them to make it .033% Oh well, at least they have a MUCH better games selection now. Do you think anyone will still be with Boss Media's software in another year?

I do like Boss Media's poker software, however. Well, actually there are a few things wrong with it. But it's acceptable. Especially since the low limit games have such EXTREMELY weak competition.
