To a degree I think you can describe those who do the bidding of the faceless men and women as lobbyists. Amongst them I include government advisers.It is not so much that I am in favour of those operating in the "deep state",more so that it is unrealistic to think we can remove them.
As an example of a public figure in the UK who I would suggest is operating as a mouth peace for the "deep state" is the Governor of the Bank of England- Mark Carney.
The Governor of the Bank of England's roll has traditionally supposedly been a politically neutral one where he should not seek to influence public opinion.However prior to the referendum on Brexit he made very public statements in favour of remain which included dire predictions of a vote to leaves impact. I have no doubt that his statements where not independently motivated.

I haven't been able to find anything at all in the MSM I have access to, or on the Internet, that validates any of the above statements, other than that regarding the Putin statement, ie. when DT talked to Putin, he commented: "Every time he (Putin) sees me, he said: 'I didn't do that.' And I believe, I really believe that when he tells me that he means it." However, it is naive to regard this as the undisputed truth, as it is merely DT's position regarding the situation.

I have had a lot to do with Americans, as I worked for a huge American conglomerate, have american friends in all parts of the world, follow the ABC, BBC, Reuters, CBS, etc, and what I am seeing and hearing is conspiracy theories becoming widely regarded as the truth, replacing fact and logic, even when the basis of these theories is nebulous in the extreme, e.g.

And I believe, I really believe that when he tells me that he means it." However, it is naive to regard this as the undisputed truth, as it is merely DT's position regarding the situation.

I have had a lot to do with Americans, as I worked for a huge American conglomerate, have american friends in all parts of the world, follow the ABC, BBC, Reuters, CBS, etc, and what I am seeing and hearing is conspiracy theories becoming widely regarded as the truth, replacing fact and logic, even when the basis of these theories is nebulous in the extreme, e.g.

I'm probably misreading your reply, but I am not sure what your point is by using the CNN wiretapping/Illegals vote examples? I didn't say there are no articles out there, just that I cannot find any validation. In fact, neither of your two examples provide this validation - in fact, quite the reverse.

Regarding the Executive Order 12333, a quote in an article from theatlantic.com is: "Susan Hennessey, a Brookings fellow and the managing editor of Lawfare, says firming up the changes before Trump takes office makes it harder for the incoming president to encroach even further on civil liberties."

Depending on how things pan out over the next year I think the opposite. Americans in general are still quite insular and still believe that they are bullet proof as a Country which effects their psychology.

Russians may or may not have hacked into into the DNC, there is no solid proof. Just educated assumptions. The Russians, like the United States, participate in all sorts of activities in an effort to influence (not even remotely the same as interfere.) foreign elections. sooo... there's that. I have never seen the USA so fractured as it is at the moment, and I have a terrible feeling it will take a long time for the USA to recover from the internal divisiveness Trump's presidency is causing among the populace. The right and the left are now totally at odds with each other, with neither side able or willing to understand the other's point of view.

With such deep divisions existing, I really cannot see how this chasm can be bridged anytime soon. And if any negative action is taken against Trump (thinking of impeachment here), his supporters would quite likely see it as a liberal witch hunt, and would not take it lying down.

So...is the USA actually on the brink of another civil war? As these divisions seem to be so deep, I'm really not sure how the USA is going to be able to recover any time soon.

As far as wiretapping goes, I believe Manafort was/lived in Trump tower at the time. I think that was what Trump meant, who knows if Trump and Manfort meetings were recorded.

Exactly as I stated in my first paragraph, as above. There is so much venom and viciousness on both sides, I really can't see how reconciliation is possible at the moment. Trump supporters think he will lead the USA back into greatness with his 'America First' policy, and his opponents think he is a deluded, senile old fool, unfit for office and a danger to the world at large.

You just have to look at posts in this thread to get some idea of the strength of feeling on both sides.

I totally agree. I'm from UK and admit I don't know enough facts to comment much. However whilst its normal for opposing sides to debate and moan , this is different. Trump being president has divided people in a way I've never seen. This thread is scary in so many ways. The venom , the almost hopelessness, the grabbing at straws, delusion and I'm not naming any names or side. I am fearful tbh.
