About the golf comment. I dont think anyone is answering because its not really worth responding to. Find me one person who ran a campaign that didnt talk some crap. Is it right, no. Is he an idiot in that regard yes. Because I remember not only did he tweet about it, he called out obama all the time in speeches.

Not a single person is going to be 100% loyal or like everything he does. No president is perfect. I mean, i can list things Obama lied about. Would they agree with it? No. But they stand by his policy and view on how to run things. I can find a dozen things Trudeau lied about. But will liberals still support him? Obviously.

I would have voted Trump. There is no question. There are a few reasons. For once a country has a chance not to elect your usual bought politician and he is better than the option by far imo.

Anything that Trump lies about or is a hypocrit about, I shake my head at. Anytime he says something stupid, I shake my head. Just because I defend some of his policies doesnt mean im tied to the guys hip through thick or thin.

He hasnt had enough time yet and lefts are trying to hang him because of how he went after the liberal media. I think its unfair and my god, tiring to listen to. Like I said, I have had to stop following alot of it because its just so brutally annoying that one can only take so much. The democrats need to accept he won and work with him and stop fighting him on every single little thing out of spite. If he does something wrong, hold him accountable but enough with the dramatics.

Im willing to see what he does in his first year or two and if by the end of his term, hes just been the same blow hard politician like they all are, well he can take a hike as can all of them.

One thing is clear, the liberals are out to get him. They always have been they cannot handle not being in control. Look at the very first sign of anything. They yell impeached all over the news networks. I am so happy I am not american, the country is so divided and the media is so gross, I would have to cancel my tv and turn the radio off to get any peace.

Yes, here in Canada politics is a huge issue because some of the things Trudeau has been doing with hiking taxes and buying votes from the muslims and gays while leaving the rest of Canada to hang by themselves is beyond disturbing. But its not some wild obsession. People can go about their day without discussing it or it being all over the radio. Now that may because the media here is liberal but whatever, Ill take that to not hear about it. Or maybe its because we all know him and his debt builders wont be back but whatever. I will say this liberal party is about the only one that has really left me disturbed. The others I have dealt with ok, I even voted liberal a couple times in my past but this government is an outright shame. My aunt is a huge liberal and her mom my grandmother worked for the liberal party all her life. And what bothers me is just because they have always been liberal, means they will vote liberal no matter what the party is like.

I thought Steven Harper was good for this country in terms of security and not being pushed around by other countries. But his government did not do enough for the families of Canada. And his sad attempt with the extra child tax credits....but then taxing it, didnt fool Canadians. And he paid for it which he absolutely deserved.

I cannot for the life of me, grasp what Trudeau is doing. I just cant. Start taking care of Canadians and the people who are suffering. Pouring money into the gay community is absurd. There isnt really any anti gay crimes here, people dont care what they do in their own home. Pour that money into the vets who come home injured.

I remember seeing on the news, a Canadian soldier who was injured in battle came home and couldnt take care of himself. So his parents quit their jobs to help their son and his family. And the government wouldnt help fund the family. This soldier stood in front of the prime minister and media and ask why. He was visibly nervous and upset. But yet they can pour money into immigration and other things that dont matter. You hike taxes all over the place, grocery prices outrageous, new tax an gasoline. You pass an anti islamaphobia bill but you wont pass a christianity or judaism bill. I mean give it a rest. This party makes my blood boil. I cannot wait til the next election. It will be the first time I vote for another party with real hard meaning. Thanks for the link to an interesting report (dated last month) which I had not previously read. There certainly was plenty of controversy in those first 100 days to fuel the media machine, although I sometimes felt that there was a bit of reaching, personalisation and speculating in media coverage and "exposes".

That said, Trump has proved to be a polarising and provocative figure, and shows no signs of changing his attitude; the volatility in media and political matters is therefore likely to continue imo.

The way things are going, the US media scene looks set for another period of fierce criticism, accusations and counter-accusations, much of it negative, and the next Harvard report should make equally interesting reading - especially on public reactions to the frenzy.

Certainly it appears to me that many involved on the media side could benefit from revisiting principles of journalistic integrity and ethics.

What concerns me is that it appears the focus of the entire US political establishment is so obsessively centred on these Trump-related issues ...and the amount of use of leaked information from all sorts of supposedly secure organisations is alarming.

To be fair, CNN makes up most of those stories. There is maybe a tiny bit of truth to it and then they blow it up and run the story all over their website and news channel, with accusations and analysts who give their opinion which is usually exaggerated and then it gets legs of its own and takes off through out the liberal public and builds into some garbage storm of nothingness.

it doesnt help when Donald Trump comes across as an airhead sometimes, he gives them the fuel to start their fire.

To be fair, CNN makes up most of those stories. There is maybe a tiny bit of truth to it and then they blow it up and run the story all over their website and news channel, with accusations and analysts who give their opinion which is usually exaggerated and then it gets legs of its own and takes off through out the liberal public and builds into some garbage storm of nothingness.

it doesnt help when Donald Trump comes across as an airhead sometimes, he gives them the fuel to start their fire.

With all that said, if people cannot see the agenda of the liberal media because DT started a war, there is nothing more I can say. I can't watch CNN anymore, for months now actually. Can't watch MSNBC which is even worse.
Could not watch an early morning show called Fox n Friends during the Obama years, it's obvious when it's fair criticism and simple a bash fest.

Yeah its getting bad. There is a video out there somewhere that shows the head of CNN holding a staff meeting telling them to put all their focus into the Russia probe.

I dont understand how people dont get it. Trump got sick and tired of the liberal bias so he called them out and pounded into them. And CNN, instead of trying to be neutral or professional has accepted the invitation of war and are lashing out with anything possible. They are using their once credible reputation to sway the public with false and misleading stories. And the other liberal media has joined in on the war.

Before the war, CNN would have extended coverage on a world event after other news outlets moved on to the next news cycle to the point where it became somewhat exhausting tbh, now they cover the world event (like the UK attacks for example) just enough and then go back on the Trump/Russia story.

Thanks for the link to an interesting report (dated last month) which I had not previously read. There certainly was plenty of controversy in those first 100 days to fuel the media machine, although I sometimes felt that there was a bit of reaching, personalisation and speculating in media coverage and "exposes".

That said, Trump has proved to be a polarising and provocative figure, and shows no signs of changing his attitude; the volatility in media and political matters is therefore likely to continue imo.

The way things are going, the US media scene looks set for another period of fierce criticism, accusations and counter-accusations, much of it negative, and the next Harvard report should make equally interesting reading - especially on public reactions to the frenzy.

Certainly it appears to me that many involved on the media side could benefit from revisiting principles of journalistic integrity and ethics.

What concerns me is that it appears the focus of the entire US political establishment is so obsessively centred on these Trump-related issues ...and the amount of use of leaked information from all sorts of supposedly secure organisations is alarming.

you're welcome. the leaking is caused by something Obama did in his last few weeks allowing raw NSA data to be shared with 16 Federal agencies. Just Google Obama NSA data and you'll get a 1/2 dozen stories, if you haven't already read about it.

I used to watch MSNBC's Morning Joe (Scarbarough) all the time because I felt he was fair. I had to stop because it became nothing but a bash fest.

Yeah it was the same thing here when Trudeau was running for PM. Our largest news agency CBC was the same way. The most bias reporting I have ever seen AND attacking the opposing party.

I really wish I could watch a news channel that just reports facts and is honest instead of going on ridiculous witchhunts just to try and prove their beliefs.

In north america, Fox is the largest right wing media source. And I dont really pay too much attention to them either. yes I will visit the site to see their side of the story when there is something going on im interested in. But it seems that Fox and CNN BBC NBC would rather try and discredit each other than do some actual reporting.

Trump supporters don't care what he does or says. They have a republican as president and that's all that matters.

And He has discredited all of the organizations that can hurt him. So basically his supporters dont believe anything other than trump himself.

I'm gonna repeat myself. i don't hate the USA. I don't hate trump either. I do hate what his presence is doing to the country of my childhood. I just want him to stop all the shenigans and try to bring this country together. But he is just not experienced enough in anything other than business. Which is not the same as running a country or being a leader. Sorry. I know you are a supporter and I respect your choice but at what point will you say the drama is overshadowing everything and admit that maybe just maybe he is not good as president of the USA.
