Was thinking to post again for some days now.

The whole Trump fanfare is pure comedy show, that cabinet meeting where everybody was throwing huge praise on him was just hilarious. Pence, Mulvanee, Sessions, Priebus --> the jokers of the year or rather decade.

Now is another cry that MORE guns are needed, not just in the US but also in the Middle East, the most unstable region in the world, and Trump sells them arms worth $100's billions, touts it as huge success and job creator.

I honestly can't believe that any American citizen with some intellect can still think they made the right vote and show their support for this president....well, I shouldn't even call him that as he has done nothing presidential so far.

I have followed politics and world events since I was young. This is the first time I try to avoid anything media and even stopped watching late night shows. Its some mad obsession to bash him. A little here and there like they did to the younger bush was perfectly fine. But every single show. Every single time you look at cnn. I even stopped reading fox because I just dont want to hear about it even though they are mostly right wing. Look at Seth Meyers. Every single night he has a 12 minute segment set aside to bash Trump.

I spend more than 60% of my time in the US, the majority of my business is in the US, I employ US citizens, I pay US rent and taxes and I have dual citizenship, I am informed not from news but the true reality of it, there is no bashing here, just sad facts, I am not a liberal and love the US as much as I love Canada, IMHO I think there just has to be a better choice out there somewhere, why cant this be about the people and not Clinton VS Trump, it just wont go away.

I know that some europeans love to judge american politics after watching BBC for a few months. But I dont work like that.

If I was forced to judge him right now. My impression would be he is a power hungry arrogant leader that is pretty testy and sneaky. He is also very smart and comes across fairly honest when put on the spot because of that arrogance.

If I was forced to judge him right now. My impression would be he is a power hungry arrogant leader that is pretty testy and sneaky. He is also very smart and comes across fairly honest when put on the spot because of that arrogance.

Just wanna say again I consider myself American as well as Canadian having spent a lot of years in the USA. I love the USA and USA people.


I posted today becuz there have been 153 mass shootings in 165 days. That's almost one every day. You have to agree there is something wrong with that. And yet all we hear about is to keep out the terrorists.

I'm not from the USA, I do have family in Orlando however and visit regularly.
I also consider myself right wing.
I must totally agree with you. The gun situation, well to us in the uk is at best shocking. We had a shooting years ago. It was dunblane, massive gun restrictions came in, and obviously you won't be able to name a mass shooting in the uk since. It clearly works.
The gun problem is the us is sickening, frightening infact. A civilian doesn't need a weapon, there's no need at all.
When I read the news daily it's always a shooting in the usa, it's like it's normal to read now, and it's far from it.
I understand it's your right and in the amendment, but that can and should be changed.
Americans and the weapons they own will always kill more Americans than any terrorist.
And I'm anti Islam, anti immigration. The gun lobby and gun problem in America is disgusting.

Because it's a issue. As what happened in the us recently. Only yesterday. I get it on my news feed all the time as I have family in the U.S, so have a interest a link that updated me.
Gun crime is just a everyday occurrence in the states, that's normality.
Ban there weapons the shootings would drop drastically.
It won't ever happen sadly.
Look at for example the BBC app, subscribe to USA gun crime option, you will see a daily murder, if not a mass murder mate.
It's shameful. I'm far right, but no sain person can advocate the use of guns. Especially in a so called civilised society.

I dont advocate guns, although in glad my brother owns a few shotguns legally here in the uk since these last few years, ill be staying with him if the shtf eventually lol. Though he owns them for shooting ranges.
But i can understand many us citizens wanting to keep those guns in fear of the government ruling something which may remove citizens rights. i never used to like people owning guns, id used to hate reading about us cirizens being able to do so when i was young.
but i could also go and cut up 20 people in an office without a gun, right now.
I used to hate the us law regarding guns.. but with the way the government seems to work, i can understand many peoples reasons for not wanting to lose them... and the (paranoia?) Reasons some of them desire to keep em...
And now, for a while, suddenly we seem to see only reasons for em to be removed.

A man cutting up or attempting to with a knife will be crushed down in moments. A man with a firearm is a different matter altogether.

as said, the only civilised place in the whole of the world with a gun problem is the U.S

USA needs to copy Canadian gun laws. Its incredibly effective.

year, they have had 947 shootings.

Also there recently were 2 doctors arrested for performing female genital

The guns are the issue but are not, they complete the violent act, this real issue is the social degradation, the amount of hate, anger, poverty and race segregation, gang growth is rampant, however people can point fingers for all sorts of reasons but when you have a population of 350mil plus people so densely packed in, many from multiple races I am not sure the answer, I believe some of that answer is to lock the door instead of pouring billions into relief and immigration, I do not have an issue with Trumps stance on this just his execution (no jokes please), the government needs to move those resources to help our own, this doesn't mean throwing money at uneducated/undeserving folk, resident social stewards are needed, community based people that want general change and can gain the respect of their communities, god knows we cannot rely on the Governments for this in both countries simply because there is no money in it for the Govt, with Canada's Trudeau and his open door policy it wont be long for our country to feel the same issues......its here just not as intense purely based on a 10x less populace.

Purely my own opinion and of course a pipe dream.
