President Obama is on Facebook today they are letting you submit questions this is what I posted...
Dear Mr. President our economy is in trouble. This we all agree on. The reasons we all know is spending. However I feel there are many solutions to this problem that our government is not willing to see. For example: Online gaming and poker. You may be aware of the poker raids that took place last week. Some of these people made their living online. They now have lost their jobs. Opening up poker and online gaming to USA will be a Global Market bringing in Billions to the USA. We are way behind in this electronic age. Now you may say that there is a law that prevents online gaming transaction. This law was on the books before computers were even invented. We as Americans are missing out on opportunities that can benefit Federal as well as local Government. The issue seems to be how would taxes be collected on wins. Well its not that hard. The government can take a cut on all sides. Money from Licensing the casinos/ poker sites. A government fee for depositing and any major win over 1199.00 Taxes come out before its paid. Money for everyone. Online poker was just made Legal IN WASHINGTON DC which upsets many because politicians say we can't do it but hey they can. It just doesn't make sense to me. We have a opportunity to help the economy and stimulate business as well as jobs and open ourselves up to a Global Market but yet we still ignore this issue. By ignoring this issue we are only losing money to other countries. So my question to you is How do you feel about the online gaming opportunity and were do you see it going in the next year.
