On Sunday just gone a new law came into force in Wales whereby in all built up areas the speed limit will be 20mph, no, ifs or buts.

However, it seems that the population of Wales is none too happy with the Welsh Government which is currently a Labour govt in power in Cardiff, with over 10% of the Welsh population signing a petition to rescind it.

One thing is for sure is that the Welsh Rugby and Football teams will need to find a new home, as the Millenium Stadium will be fully booked for the foreseeable ⬇️

I had to do one of those speed awareness courses about 8 years back or so.

It was like a step back in time to my brief unemployment and reminded me of one of those "Job Clubs" you were forced to attend otherwise your benefits got suspended.

Sweat and BO a plenty, together with the odd whiff of weed and other substances. Tracksuits which were too small and the odd pregnant 40+ year old.

Off to sign up now :p

2 Speed Awareness courses and a Motorway Awareness course here for my sins. Although the Motorway Awareness course was done virtually via Teams, thank god.

Fair cop for the first two speed awareness courses, but the Motorway Awareness course was as a result of being undertaken and overtaken by two lorries in narrow lanes on the M4 in a variable speed limit. I was clocked going 8 miles over the 50 limit, but I didn't fancy becoming part of a lorry sandwich.

As for the new ruling in Wales, I don't think I best ever drive there again LOL

Still faster than the sheep can run so they should all be happy in the end.

Well, it's not like the country doesn't have any pressing issues to deal with, is it?

Unfortunately for all the silly geese that voted Labour in Wales, they are now reaping the harvest - Drakeford of course being the "driving" (ho ho) force behind it all. Couple of years ago he was all for the lockdowns, making supermarkets cordon off "non essential" goods.

Not Welsh but signed the petition - will be interesting to see how Welsh Labour get around the will of the people on this one - total signatures went up by 200 during the time I took to sign it!

Does this also apply to Bicycles, Scooters, Segways, Mobility Vehicles, Skateboards, e-Scooters, Roller Skates, Hover Boards and people who can run REALLY fast??? :eek2:
