Hi,

I am wondering if I'm allowed to post my own reviews on this forum and where I can put it. The only place I could think of is here: https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/community/online-casinos/

For instance, I wrote this:
You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.

I put a lot of time and effort into writing this review and I would love some feed back or comments on it.
I've tried e-mailing the Meister and PMing as well but no responses.

Thank you for reading, I hope I will receive a response.

From what I'm reading I can't see anything wrong with what you want to do.
I certainly would appreciate reading a member reveiw.

I have reviewed a few casinos before.

Here is an example I reviewed 3Dice some years ago.
https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/threads/minor-review-of-3dice.41615/?t=41615

The "Online Casinos" section should be an appropriate place for reviews.

Awesome! Glad to hear you would appreciate it. (What do you think of my review?)

Thanks for your input. I will wait on a response from the Meister just in case - but I don't see why he wouldn't allow it :)

Well, do you want me to review your review now?
Or would you rather wait and I will review it when you post it?

Probably best to stick to reviewing casinos that are promoted here, after all, this site is also a business. You wouldn't write a review for Dunkin' Donuts and post it on a bulletin board inside a Starbucks, at least not a positive review.

Smart choice, I can see you will go far.
;)

I wouldn't - but I would write a review for Dunkin' Donuts and post it on a bulletin board for all coffee related things.

On the front page of casinomeister.com:
Casinomeister's Commitment: we advocate fair treatment of players, affiliates, and operators of online casinos. This is accomplished by providing news on online gambling, presenting essential information about online casinos, solving player issues, and promoting industry events to our visitors. Consultations and advice can be found or solicited in our forum.

So as a member of the Casinomeister community, I am doing exactly this - providing news and presenting information. Casumo isn't accredited but I think some members may be interested in reviews made by other members of the community. I would certainly be interested in what you or anyone else in the community had to say. If you read my review on my site I linked, you would see that the review I wrote is quite in-depth. If the community gave some feedback, I could write even better reviews!

I don't think there will be a problem posting your reviews here (many have done similar things before) - as long as it's not a blatantly obvious attempt to get players to visit your website.

A little constructive criticism if I may: I took a look at your Casumo review page, and to be honest, it looks pretty awful. Maybe it's still work in progress (?) but the layout needs some serious tidying up. Just sayin'!
{Edit to add} The above was on a Windows 7 Laptop and ie8 - on Windows 8 + Chrome it looks totally fine!

Thank you for your constructive criticism! All are welcome. And no - I have not optimized it for IE8... but it should be fine on Chrome and FireFox.

Any confirmation from mods as to whether I'm allowed to post my reviews?

Here is my thought on the matter.

If your gonna copy and post your review here I would see no problem. if your gonna link to your website I would wait until YOU EARN the privilege to do so.

The rest of us that have websites had to wait and then get permission to put our links as signatures. I don't think it would be right to skirt around this by claiming I want to post reviews and get other peoples opinions.

That to me also boarders on spamming.

Most people here would just say "hey ? about said casino?" or "opinions on said casinos?" But to link to another website is wrong.

Just my thoughts - I would ask Bryan before you did it.

Hi cpdnd31

I agree that I should earn the privilege to be able to put my link on my signature. However, in terms of linking the website - I was thinking about putting in snippets of the review on the forums (for an easier read) and have the full-length reviews on the website so if people are interested in reading a 700+ word article, they can choose to do so.

When it comes down to it, it's up to the meister to decide on how to format it but he has not replied to my e-mail, PM nor this post... so I'm quite lost on what to do.
Whatever decision he makes, I would follow the rules.

Thank you for your opinion. Hope you'll read my reviews if/when I get to post them here :)

They will read this thread now. I reported it to them so they have no choice;)

I see no reason for you to post your link in here yet, but maybe they see it differently.

Thanks for bringing it to their attention! :)

Like I said, I didn't know where to post it or how to format it so I'm waiting on a response. I hope the moderators will give me a chance for me to add some value to this community.

Edit:
For the record:

I've been nothing but nice to everyone in this community. You can check my activities.
For instance, I helped this "old lady" with her router problems under the tech section: https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/threads/62979/

I've made discussions to liven up the community: https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/threads/63703?t=63703

I've done research to add value to discussions: https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/threads/nj-caesarscasino-com-taxable-win.63071/

I'm not just some spammer looking to get a link in. I'm just a guy who's trying to participate in the community board and looking for the mods (and all members) guidance.

And these are exactly the reasons why members here would want you to do things in the right order.

This forum gets a large share of people popping in real quick trying to get a link in here and there for their own gain or to lead players into some kind of scam and you will also see members who have copious links to their own sites and likely enjoy the fruits of the publicity they have gained from here.

I have posted several reviews of land based casinos but I have no financial interest in that area and neither, as far as I know, does this site.

Members here are very protective of this site but there is room for all, just do it in the right way and hopefully you will become a 'fixture' here and contribute for a long time to come.

Agreed and thank you for your kind words. I didn't intend on breaking any rules by linking to the site on this thread - I simply wanted to give an example of what my review would look like (then again, should I go back and edit the link into the full review?)

I'll be more than happy to copy and paste my reviews (snippet or full) with or without a link. I just want to be a part of this community :) Thank you again.

I don't mind players posting their "reviews" or opinions about casinos or casino games - it gets problematic when affiliates do so. There are about 300 registered webmasters in the forum, and I'm sure there are quite a few people listed here as players that are also affiliates, but have not taken the time out to register as a webby/webmeister. No prob. But if I allow webmasters to start posting their reviews, then the floodgates are open to literally a few hundred "what about me?" casino reviews.

What I would want to avoid are reviews that are implied or seemingly endorsed by me. For instance Casumo: sure they are great guys - but they failed the Baptism by Fire because their management couldn't get it together. They haven't asked to try it again for whatever reasons. In my opinion, that would trump any other review on the site - but how would players know this unless I was vetting and correcting each and every review that is posted here. So it gets complicated.

Let me think about it a bit more, there may be a solution that works for everyone. I'm kind of swamped at the moment, but I'll get back to this.

Sorry for my lack of an earlier response - bad timing I guess. I'm just getting caught up after being on the road for a number of weeks. I'm kinda behind at the mo'.

Great point - since I am not an old member nor do I have enough creds to have a signature link - I believe I shouldn't post my website's link on my reviews on the forums. Perhaps I can put a snippet here (not the full-length review, but a few hundred words) and just simply say, "If you want to read the full review, just Google 'NetEnt Follower'" or something on the lines of that. I would never post my link without permission.

And of course I would never imply that you are endorsing my reviews. And I wonder why they haven't tried again? I've spoken to Casumo reps and they seem very polite and seemed like they knew what they were doing. Could you tell me what happened with Casumo - what did you mean by their management couldn't get it together?

Thank you very much for your consideration and your thoughtful answer. I'm glad to see that you are taking this matter seriously and not just brushing it off.

I will wait for your response and until then - I will polish up my reviews :)

Since you asked...
https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/threads/casumo-casino-want-to-come-on-board.53201/?t=53201

...or the short version...they didn't have the time to visit this forum, and that is important if they want to be accredited.

That probably wouldn't be good either. You can add a link to your site on your profile page, under "webmastered websites" and then people who are interested can simply click on your name and view it on your profile.

OR...you can ask to join the webmeister group - I don't know if you have to be here for a certain amount of time or how it works, I was a member here for years before I decided to start my site...but here's some info:

Ah, I see. That's too bad. Thank you for answering my question!

Great! I didn't know about this. Thanks a bunch. Joined the webby group and I need to be a full member for the Webmeisters group so I'll work on that :) Thank you again.

Good to see you are making progress with the addition of the 'Webby' designation and a direct response from the Meister. A big part of the prestige this site enjoys is because it is tightly regulated and nearly all the information here has been well vetted.

Anyways, keep at it!

Net there is one point I think needs to be mentioned here. See older members know some of the crap some casinos have done in the past. Now picture yourself as a newbie looking at cm for the first time. You find the main casino forum page. And in big bold letters a thread that says XYZ Casino review. They click on it and read you one sided (may be honest opinion review). They haven't found the accredited casino list that says Stay away from XYZ casino, they join XYZ casino and then get screwed. Then they come back here and say Casinomeister thread said it was a good casino. Or they tell people I went to Cm and that's how I found said casino.

Byan has a reputation he has built up. He is the GURU when it comes to casino information. Yes we webbies may all do our own thing and give opinions when needed however we all look out and most of us are well informed. I really think your reviews could cause some confusion and come back and bite Bryan in the ass.

Sorry not being mean just being logical.

I thought you had to be here for a year, but I just took a look at the info and it's only 3 months +50 posts, so that's not bad, it won't be long now.
