You all remember or seen my banner regarding the error/disconnection jamborees, hence i have been on a quest to get some solution to find my joy again playing online slots.

This week i booked a 30-days "guaranteed" 4G mobile internet package with 4G+ where available, which cost me more than 3 times the normal package. I use now my mobile as Hotspot to connect my laptop to the internet. First thing i noticed that the IP was from a different range compared to the normal package IPs.

I had since 5 flawless sessions at Betat, VS and Rizk with not a single disconnection or error, no matter which game provider; the longest lasting 5+ hrs. Today i played two CBs, which I received yesterday for last weeks deposits, on my normal WiFi connection and it was straight back to: error, disconnection, error, connection slow etc.

Don’t know if this is now the end solution but certainly looks like a step into the right direction as I can see that with the “guaranteed” connection speed things are running much smoother. Maybe data from such users are handled with higher priority than others and the data gets through more reliably to their destination as well as then return just as reliable to the user.

This could be the case with fixed broadband connections too, hence why we see that some players are not affected at all and others can't go for a few minutes without any problems. It certainly points to that ISPs are somehow prioritizing the data transfer based on the package/prize the user has paid.

Just thought I would share this with you since we all could do with some more joyful sessions, even when we are losing our dosh at the end. :D

Well, I have had 120mB cable for years and I still get disconnections and errors whilst some MG games won't even load. I had such a piss-poor gaming session (the highest amount of errors I've ever experienced so far) at Redbet yesterday that I decided to close my account.

That is what i experienced too.... my standard internet connection is 50MB via my condos WiFi, alternatively i used my neighbors TV cable connection with 100MB or my normal mobile connection ....all riddled with issues that it became an absolute pain to play any slot. All connections though have one in common, none are guaranteeing a certain speed.

This is now the first time that i booked something with a guaranteed speed and VOILA ..... runs absolutely flawless. I am not geek enough to say for certain that this is the solution but it just seems to work so much better.

Pleased to hear you've found something which appears to be helping. Of course, it may simply be a case that this change to your connectivity coincides with a period of fewer issues with the casino platform operators. Time will tell.

My connection here is rock solid 100mb and never has these issues with certain providers. This suggests to me that it is platform related.

Was somewhat displeased to not have had a response to my complaint the other day from the casino. That I communicated this via support (explicitly requested it go to the casino manager) and in here means it must have been seen.

Was about 30 seconds away from PM'ing you last night Harry asking you to 'Get your banner out' :p

Balance was being destroyed and fast and then the disconnections started to come thick and fast.

I'm sure you can imagine my RAGE  at the time.

I opted for an early night instead.

I have recently upgraded to the high end of fibre and noticed an improvement but by no means a total fix. Pissed me off last night as I am paying nearly double a month now to Sky and All other websites, including YT uploads are great so in my personal situation it seems 99% that the problem lies with the casinos/servers their end.

Lets us know how things pan out over a longer period mate and good to hear you've enjoyed some stress and banner free sessions

Tad shady from one bloke to another, but each to their own I guess.

Speaking of modern tech, I have some floppy disks if anyone can handle them :eek::eek:

Great to see you where able to improve your gambling experience Harry.
Short question: What is the upload speed of your 4G and your wi-fi connection respectively?

That, My dear Mr G, would depend on the cleanliness of ones mind sir!

I've just bought a laptop off some guy on CM, care to have a look? It's brand new and works really well. Some even say it's future proof.

£800 because you're a trusted friend

Fuck it make it a nice round 1K, what's £200 between mates.

I'll Paypal you the dosh right now, just chuck the laptop in 2nd class post in a few weeks no rush, bin liner and masking tape should do it.

Let me know how much I owe for postage and wear and tear on your shoes for taking it to post office and I'll pay extra on top, may as well grab yourself 10 smokes and a 4 - pack as well.

...Oh and while we're chatting, about this years Christmas pressie, you passed your driving test yet buddy ?

I don't drive, but I'll buy whatever you're selling. What better time to learn than now!

Short question: What is the upload speed of your 4G and your wi-fi connection respectively?

Cheers Hedge :)

I don't think the absolute speed is the problem, rather the steadiness of it and more importantly the priority the ISP is giving your data stream.

I have two options on mobile, which switch automatically to the highest available, i did the test 3x times with each option, hence it took some time to complete as i was roaming around the block to have it switch to 4G+ (in my apartment i only get 4G, got to go to the main road to get 4G+):

--> 4G: download average 15MB, upload average 16.2MB
--> 4G+: download average 54MB, upload average 48.7MB
--> Condo WiFi 50MB: D 28.2MB, U 6.5MB

Especially on the mobile connections the speed can vary quite a lot depending on how many users are logged onto the same transmitter.

I just had another faultless, smooth 2.5hrs session on Rizk, hence i am even more convinced that this is at least part of the reason.

EDIT: Just did one more on 4G to post a pic:

one more on 4G, just to confirm to you that the speeds are not an one off, note the steady upload speed:

I hear you mate, it has been my daily 'routine' for months now   ..........keep playing and the balance will just disappear in between countless reloads of the slots :( ......or come back the next day hoping for an improvement, which rarely was the case.

The last 2 days i had now 8 sessions:

- 6 via the 4G connection --> absolutely flawless, not even laggy spins
- 2 via the Condo Wifi --> the usual error/disconnection jamboree

Will keep logging my results in the next weeks, just hope it stays like this, I'll happily pay 750THB instead of 220THB/month if it means i will be able to enjoy my gaming sessions again. :D

This is me right now and i think i have had i 1 error all this week :)
the upload really sucks but it just became avalible where i live d/l up to 50m and upload 5mbps
just need a new router to get it :)

Man, this world is getting too expensive. In between every new contraption like 4K tellys and VR, not to mention Playstation 10s and fangle-dangle new smartphones it's hard to keep pace.

You sure I can't just use your mobile hotspot for my sessions instead? Just PM me your password and I promise not to slow it down too much

Sure rather slow, but i just don't think speed is really the root cause for the problems. After all in the late 90's i played online without any issues by using a normal phone line.

I am getting convinced that it is a priority thing and since you are on FI that might not be such a big deal, hence your speed is good enough to keep a steady connection. But here in Bangkok with 12Mio people it might make a difference if you pay for a guaranteed connection speed and higher priority.

well, I'm glad u did this m8.

It's about the frequency. the higher the frequency, the more priority you get.
If you are a pilot, get in the plane and flies at 8000FT at the same time as with 20 other planes. The only way to speed up an get priority, is to fly higher.
4G uses a higher frequency. I've it as standard package and i do'nt have to cover the extra cost ( It looks like , it's diff in ur country?? ).

Yes, higher internet speed could help you to get through the traffic, but given the time and number of users that may not always be the solution.
Frequencies offerd by providers re different (also diff in diff countries).
2.4 an 5 ghz F EXL. Other problem is the laptop (computers is General). Until few years back, they could'nt pick up the high frequency from the same provider.
Haveing said that, this is not the ultimate solution imo. Bcuz there is no system in the world which is perfect. casinos are no exception of that.

glad u had sum good sessions .
NEXT : sum nice hits !!

Cheers Syrus, good to hear that from an expert.

And you gave me the right word which I was looking for: frequency is the magic word.

Although i had 4G available on the normal package it would switch between 3G+, 4G and only rarely to 4G+, standard would be 3G+. Since i booked the specific 4G package it has never gone back to 3G+ and we know that 4G has a larger bandwidth with higher frequency, hence data are transmitted more reliably.

Will stick to this for now as i am just a happy camper even when i had only 1 withdrawal from the 6 sessions on this new connection, but boy was it enjoyable and fun to just relax in front of the box and press that spin button without having to reload the slot countless times and using up my energy for shouting expletives. :D

Yeah , I know where u come from !!

Not exactly a expert tbh .
at work we useing a 5 GHZ frequency cuz we need it to get sum stuff done without Errors .
sum of those guys (the real experts :D) explained to me just a bit about this kind of stuff.
u're lucky u can use ur phone as a host. for owners of iPhone it's a bit more difficult to do that .unfortunately I am one of those !!

Happy spinnig my friend !!
