Hi Meister Heads,

This is not to promote this site but to get some other players experience of this site.
The site in question is www.pokerroom.com has anyone else had any experience with this site good or bad I dont mind.
I have been with this site for about a year and half and have not gotten anyone elses opinion on the site compared to others.
I have played at some other sites but the skin at pokerroom is a lot more appealing to me.
Any other sites that use the same poker skin or are they on there own here.?

Any response here good or bad would be appreciated.

Its owned by a bunch of crooks. They once ran a guaranteed tournament. Not enough players registered to cover the guarantee. They ran the tourney as normal and paid out the guaranteed prizes. The next day the winners awoke to find pokerroom had taken the guaranteed money out of their accounts and had readjusted the prizes as if there had been no guarantee on their tourney.

If I remember correctly they claimed it was a typo in the lobby and it took a massive uproar to get players paid.

To the OP PokerRoom is a part of Ongame. Here is a list of skins:

I'm sure there are more then just that list but it should be close to complete.

pokerroom

I was a loyal player there until they banned us players. I cashed a lot of money there and never had a problem getting it next day air. I loved playing there. Played lots of let it ride and caribbean stud. Wish I could still play there.

I also played pokerroom.com, but the percentage of skilled players there is quite high there. Thus I changed the room, and my earnings went up again then.

WOW, guys thanks for the responses , I to enjoy playing there , I personally think there is a lot of fish/loose players there and it is a good site to make money from.

I to heard about that tournament where they changed the prizes (dodgy).
I have had no end of troubles with there support. Dont get me wrong they are quick to respond and are very nice, however when I had a complaint about 2 different things (1- played black with there casino software won a hand and left the table but money did not credit to my account. 2- I was owed around $200 in comp points that was not payed.) After each phone conversation I had to explain my story over again from the start or wait till a supervisor that was handling my case to be in. This was annoying but after 2 months I got what was owed in comp tickets.

There are still some nice poker rooms for US players. Sulrey POkerroom was good

Possibly the worst site i have ever played at. You wont notice until you do encounter a problem, then it dawns how undertrained and unprofessional the staff are. I cannot imagine them getting any better. Absolutely one to avoid. I played there from the start. They got lucky with the poker boom, they died well before the US ban

Their software is terrible and their support is terrible.

I made a huge amount of money there in December 2006, but I could not handle the constant web site downtime and poor support.

I forgot about how bad their support is. Although there are not as many complaints as their used to be their support was at one time the worst in the industry or at least as bad as Party's. I'm guessing the UIGEA helped lower their complaints because of the lower volume.

I feel a little bit better knowing others are having similar problems with these guys , I though they didnt want my service anymore so i was getting a second rate service.
As I said every time I contacted these guys to get problems solved I had to tell them what was wrong all over again.
And these are phone calls from Australia to them so it wasnt cheap.
I have gotten GOLDEN status there due to the amount I lose.
One thing I will say there shift supervisor ZAC is a pretty decent fellow and tries to get things resolved for you.
he actually keeps logs of the correspondance between both parties.
Ever since they merged with www.holdempoker.com they have been having problems.
