poker back in the US this year???

I think Nevada will probably have online poker for their residents before the end of the year. They will be reviewing applications beginning February. As far as the entire US is concerned it will probably take a while longer before it's regulated.
 
NV could have it as early as April. Washington DC is the only other part of the US that has approved it but it looks like it will never get off the ground. Expect CA, FL, IA and NJ to look deep into it this year.
 
Over the last couple of weeks here in New York, I've been reading what appears to be several articles about, online gaming (poker), Gov. Cuomo pushing hard to convert the Rancino into a full blown casino in Queens, the Indians fighting for a spot, is all becoming interesting. Most New Yorkers had to have read about it regardless if interested or not. The key thing is making the majority aware, which usually gets the discussion out in the public and helps bring the issue to the table.
