so basically i signed up to plush bingo and began to deposit and play over several days. anyhow i eventually managed to get up to around £1300 when i decided to withdraw so i uploaded my documents but there was an issue as i put my name down as chris when my id and bank card say christopher. so i asked them to change it.
it was then that they told me that my account was excluded as id previously in the past excluded from a linked site although i dont know which one but on that incident i put down christopher (which may i add is a rarity) so now they are telling me that my winnings are voided which i feel is unfair as they should of detected me when i validated my card any how as thats what happened when i tried to sign up a site operated by them before.

can anyone help me. i know that the casino probably has it all in their favour but i just feel like this decision is unfair

I'm always putting my full forename on anything official or formal because I know it'll save me grief further down the line. You never want to give casinos any reason for not paying up, however small the indiscrepancy....

I do think it's harsh to void someone's winnings over it though. If they'd detected the name differences themselves prior to withdrawal, they might actually be accused of doing their jobs and being helpful

you see i dont really like my full name so i put chris most the time and its never been an issue with ID before lol and then when i discovered that i was excluded from some other site i was gutted especially as cozy games dont even operate for uk customers on that site and elektraworks does which i find confusing. i also feel like everything else was the same and i had to validate my bank card and like you said they wouldnt of bothered checking until it came to paying out.

I had the same problem with poker stars when I put my middle name when I opened and account but my middle name is not on any of my documents.

Was a pain in the arse getting them to believe they were my documents haha.

So now I always put what ever is on my docs when opening an account with someone new.

How does that work?

Wouldn't that mean that officially you don't actually have a middle name?

I'm just curious cause middle names are so often ignored in name fields so I usually just put NAME MIDDLENAME, which I've found out on some pages looks really bad when they have those win feeds showing both.

Only on my birth certificate I do, passport only has first and second name.

I see, that's the only thing I could think of after submitting my reply earlier too. Having worked in CS I don't think I've ever requested a birth certificate, but then middle names missing or being added was never an issue as it is pretty self-explanatory.

Yeah I understand. It's all getting a bit too much IMO.

when I had the issue at pokertars I had to send them pictures of me holiding my ID next to my face and all sorts was a nightmare.

As I said before that's why when joining a new casino I make sure everything is the same.

When it comes to online casinos, nothing is self explanatory. They will exploit any and every discrepancy or loophole if that will help them to get out of paying the player.

hmmmm, but that wasn't the reason he was denied his winnings. The main reason was because he had a self excluded account in one of their sister sites.

The name was just another issue.

@OP

I mean you could try doing a PAB. But not sure if it will be successful or not. But you could at least try. And dont forget, if you do a PAB you can not discuss it until it has been concluded in any threads or posts.

If self exclusion was involved at any point then I doubt there would be much the player could do. Some casinos enforce the SE quite strictly and kudos to them for that.

Yeah I know, And I did say that I wasn't sure if it will be successful or not, I do believe it wont be. But doesn't do any harm to try though does it? Because there could be discrepancies on the bingo sites end! and a PAB might bring those to light.
