Hi,

Any help is appreciated. I signed up to royal plaza slots, ended up winning shy of €3400 but now they have taken my money and are leaving me with a balance of €50 (original deposit) saying I abused their slots.

See attachments for proof of win and email I received from them

Can anyone help or advise me on this please? Can they actually do this I’m devastated

I guess there is nothing you can do if you played with bonus money. Bonus T&C says 4 euro max.bet you violated this term and that’s a good enough reason for a casino to deny your withdrawal.

If the case is this simple (you played with bonus money) next time please read bonus T&C and read it closely wherever you play.

Is there any chance of asking the casino to equate back my win to a €4 bet, if I had played on the stake it would be roughly €2700

Clearly states in terms max bet allowed is £4. As you bet over that then no way they would pay out as it was on a higher bet you won.

So I am afraid doubt anyone can help you as they are within their rights not to pay.
Always a good idea to read terms before playing , as if you had you would have noticed that even if the £5 bet was allowed, the Max cashout from sign up bonuses is £500 so you would have lost most of it anyway.

Expensive mistake from player. Clear bonus term violation and If they dont want to pay they dont have to.

Max.bet violation could turn in the player's favor if player makes accidentally few spins over the limit and notices that fault. After that, wagering should be stopped immediately and contact customer service. Tell them that sorry my fault can you forgive me and can I continue wagering. If casino shows green light then everything should be fine again.

But bonus T&C violations where player makes tens or hundreds of game rounds over max.bet...
It's quite clear that the casino interprets this as an intentional breach of the terms what is same as "sorry we confiscated your money, have a nice day"

Isn't the max bet 3,99€? It says that if your bet is equal to or above 4, then you'll only get your deposit back.

Seems a bit fishy to have it like that. A lot of people will just read that as max 4€. Also max cashout of 500 on a signup bonus is awful.

been there done that many years ago when i started online yes its sickening,i had several spins on the original dead or alive won £500 but broke the terms, they just ended up giving me my original deposit back of £40

Sadly this is a clear breach of the bonus terms, which actually read as line bets must be under 0.50 and single game stakes under 4euro. I agree that 'equal to' shouldn't be there, they should simply state 'limit is 0.50 a line or 4euro per single game' for the purposes of clarity. In this case the OP was clearly in ignorance of this term and placed wagers well over i.e. 5euro. So the casino has not resorted to any scummery here, simpy applied their terms. He has the deposit back, as again which is what the terms state when they say 'amounts in excess of xxx will be removed'.

FYI a 500euro cap on winnings/conversion to cash for bonuses is very common nowadays, especially since establishing the UK rules that the cash balance can be withdrawn at any time, along with winnings and effectively the bonus is separate therefore a 'second chance' free shot at some cash. It's thus far more likely statistically the depositor will make a withdrawal than under the old (mainly EV-) system of lumping the funds together with a combined wargering requirement of say 35-40x which would mean the player having to turn over thousands on games that effectively cost them 4% a spin, with the outcome usually a loss. So you cannot blame the casinos for capping this free shot.

To put it in practical terms, you get lucky right off on your cash, you withdraw plus any profits if applicable and forfeit the bonus. You have a crap run on your cash, with the undulating results of many slots and games it's not unfeasible that by the time you start playing the bonus funds that your returns start improving, or you hit a decent win which makes the bonus coversion almost certain. The players cannot (despite their wishes!) have their cake and eat it so to speak. It's why there's caps on these type of bonus arrangements and how the casinos stay in business.

Judging by the OP he's in the RoI not the UK part so was playing in euros. I don't know if this particular casino applies the UK-type of bonus rules or the old combined wagering ones. If the latter, then I agree 500euro isn't generous by any means.

IMO there's no reason to take a bonus that's capped so low as to 500. I mean sure, chances are that you're not going to hit anything substantial, but if that once in a lifetime hit does come along on a bonus like this and you have to forfeit thousands if not tens of thousands, then you're going to be royally (pun intended) pissed off.

I mean 500 is really low to be honest. There's zero reason to take the max bonus when you can't even double your money. Maybe it's different for other countries, but I see the 1st welcome bonus as 100% up to 259€. So if I read that correctly the max bonus would be 518€ starting stack and most you can withdraw is 500€. LOL, there's no point. Low rolling may be worth it, but not close to max bonus.

I mean yeah, it does seem like you can forfeit the bonus, which is a plus. Either way the thing I dislike the most is that they purposefully vaguely state the max betting amount. Should be clearer. Either state it clear that 3,99€ is the max or 4€ max. None of this including, I suspect a lot of players will misread that as max 4€ bet.

Just my opinion but any max.win rule in deposit bonuses is legal stealing. And you said one of the reasons why.
If you hit really big with capped bonus it's not so funny anymore. Let's say player hits 10 000x with 1 euro bet and bonus is capped to 1000e casino will "steal" 9000 euros. That should be player's money but because stealing rules in T&C it's not.

I can understand that rule in no deposit bonuses but not otherwise.

Same thing with free spins promotions. If a player has to deposit to redeem the offer there should never be any max.out rules

It’s a killer that mate but as pointed out that 5 stake has screwed you there never going to do anything about it unfortunately . Think of it as you are due some fortune after a bit of bad karma you’ll get that and more one day just don’t go chasing the dream of hitting that again because the fortune isn’t there just yet evidently .
