Hi,

I got a mail from Players Palace, offering me 100% for Halloween.

After I deposited, I got no bonus. In chat, they couldn't help me, so I wrote emails.

After I got no response, I had a closer look to the email offer and realized, that, though my name was in the mail, the account number was a little different from mine.

I wrote again, mention that wrong account number, but NO response.

What a bad behavior.

So much for player's information being secure then:rolleyes:

It is quite astonishing how very COMMON this error is in the industry. I receive regular promotional Emails that quote names and accounts that are NOT MINE, yet, surely Email addresses are unique, and this kind of cock-up ought to be impossible:confused:

Something is clearly wrong with their databases that matches Email addresses to casino accounts, and it frequently mismatches the two when sending out Emails. This CAN provide opportunities for clever scammers who feel inclined to try something with the information. All it needs is for the information wrongly disclosed to be enough to convince first line CS to release the information needed to take over the casino account. Given the inept replies frequently seen from first line support, this can't be too hard to achieve in some cases.

A simple approach would be to start with the account number, and request an automated password reset, hoping of course that the bad association between account and Email address will result in them wrongfully getting the reset password, as well as the promotional Email. This is then enough at least to lock the original owner out of the account, and might allow manipulation to transfer the funds to another account (likely if multi-player games are offered), and indeed even the Microgaming Tournaments can be used in this way - the sit 'n' go variety at least;)
