PlayBoy casino - alienating UK Dollar players

Im a member of Playboy casino and have been for several months now. Each month I claim the `monthly match` bonus. Now apparantly according to their support team, UK players playing in USD are now no longer eligible for any promotional bonus whatsoever until and unless they convert to a PDS account. This according to their latest change in their terms and conditions. These were not the same terms and conditions employed when i joined up at this casino and while i understand they have the right to change these at any time i think this is a pretty poor and unfair tactic. As a result i have asked them to close my account at playboy gaming and i am writing here to inform any people who are not aware of this casinos desire to turn their shoulder on uk usd players of which im sure there are many. I find this unscrupulous to say the least and in my own personal opinion i believe this merits a review of playboy gaming remaining an accredited casino here at casino meister.

This seems a very odd move, especially since they are applying this retrospectively to earlier accounts.

This could work out against the casino, as the UK Pound is now worth 2 USD - surely UK players using dollars are only getting half the amount of "abusable bonuses" than those who choose to "abuse" the monthly in Pounds.

Playtech as a brand is very UK unfriendly, so maybe should be avoided by UK players since they may make another change to "screw" UK players who use Pounds. ONLY UK RESIDENTS have this problem, NO OTHER COUNTRY faces this difficulty as they are not allowed UK Pounds, and must play in Dollars or Euros if in the EU.

I currently do not play at ANY Playtech branded casino, mainly because of this "we hate ALL UK players" mentality they have developed over the past year or two.

Just checking you havent misread the post a little here VWM lol Playboycasino i believe is Wagerlogic not playtech and William hill nor Intercasino have adopted such a silly rule. I wonder why Playboy has. Not that i particularly care but i do question their continued accreditation on this site now thay have demonstrated they are employing unscrupulous tactics for whatever reason. I just scanned their T&C`s and see no such mention of this silly rule except maybe

``Players from Uk, Israel, malaysia, Indonesia, Romania, Bulgaria, Netherland Antilles and all US outlying states will be excluded from the new player signup bonus promotion```

This is the first time ive seen a casino put the UK on such a list of undesirable players.

This is definatly one strange casino.

Well you can add the Grand Prive group to that!
Last year they didn't give SUB's to UK players, then later they did, but now they have gone back to excluding us again!

I suppose we should take it as a compliment that they think we're nearly as clever as the Danes...

What annoys me most about this racist behavior is that if they wrote their T&C's properly, or even better configured the software to automatically prevent 'undesirable play' there would be no reason to exclude anyone at all!

It only applies to the US$ casino, UK players can get the signup bonus and the monthly bonus at the GBP casino. I am wondering if people from non-excluded countries can get both USD and GBP bonuses.

Btw, which are the "US outlying states"?

LMAO - Must be Hawaii and Alaska, which are already inherently excluded? LOL I'm sure they meant Puerto Rico, Guam, etc., but still.

The simplest solution (which KK made) is "JUST MAKE THE DAMNED SOFTWARE FORCE THE PLAYERS TO CONFORM TO YOUR RIDICULOUS RULES!". From a programmer's perspective: this is not very difficult!! But instead, the majority of casinos choose the easy route ... tempt the player by allowing "bad bets" and then screw them if they make 'em. Lousy way to do business if you ask me!

Well, add Wagerlogic to the list. I assumed it was Playtech since I had seen this rule at them all. I have been told this is a directive from Playtech themselves, given to all Playtech casino operators. Compliance is voluntary though, but most Playtech casinos do it anyway.

Grand Privvy just offered me a 50% bonus to 200, to encourage me to gain ACE status. Pity my Neteller was (deliberately:p) empty.
I will have to go over their terms again thoroughly before accepting any of their offers again, I don't trust them!

If we Brits are so "evil", perhaps we could complain to the Gambling Commission that they are "racist" by whitelisting casinos with "racist" rules.
Under EU and UK law, no organisation can be legitimised (by being regulated? - including allowing touting for business) if they have terms that could be deemed discriminatory on grounds of Race, Disability, Gender, etc....

We just need a UK whitelisted casino to try this on;)

Playboy might have a problem if their rules can be shown to be unfavourable to specific countries without very good reason. ("Race" can be defined as a culture, country, or region, even lifestyle - recently, "itinerant travellers" were defined as a "Race", and racial laws were used to stop a campaign to have them removed from a piece of land. On this basis, us Brits are a "Race", separate from other mostly white cultures of other countries NOT treated as "evil players" by casinos)

Why don't you try something simpler: force British insurance companies to offer car insurance in Northern Ireland?
