anyone else think it might be a smarter idea to play without redeeming any type of deposit bonus that require you to wager x amount of times ?

because most of the casinos... seems like you can win pretty easily in the beginning but you are still under the minimum wagering requirement... and by the time you fulfill it.. you probably raised your bet amount or started messing up ... or simple mathematics caught up to you .. since the longer you play .. the higher the chance of the casino taking your money

to win $100 with a $100 deposit without bonus is a lot easier... than trying to win $100 with a $100/100% deposit bonus that requires you to wager $2000 in total or so

what do you guys think ?

That's true the bonus ties you up with a wagering requirement. Otherwise u can just quit after u get a winning streak.

xkxrome0ox said:

to win $100 with a $100 deposit without bonus is a lot easier... than trying to win $100 with a $100/100% deposit bonus that requires you to wager $2000 in total or so

what do you guys think ?

I'll be honest with you.
Most major software offer fair games, IMO and as such, taking bonus (with reasonable WR) is a better deal.
In your example, if you don't get any bonus at all your return will always be less than $100 because of the house edge, the more you play the more you will loose.
On the other hand, if you take 100% $100 bonus with 2000 WR and play games of low house edge, you have a better chance to win. Let's say you play BJ with 0.5% house edge, your return after WR is 100+100-2000x0.5%=190.
For most casual player, the WR structure, terms and conditions etc are way too complicated. If you really hate bonus, tell the casino operator to remove it and you can have fun without worrying any of these nonsense.

I dont bonus hunt as much anymore. Became too much of a hassle with the increased wagering needed. (I did bonus hunt when it was only 3X-5X though ;-) )

I use the Intercasino bonus at the beginning of the month and that is about it. All the other times, I feel you can get a little streak going w/o a bonus as long as your not too greedy.

Example: 3 of the last 4 times, I went to Intercasino with $100 and made $50 profit. I PROMPTLY cashed out the $50 profit back to my Neteller account and will play the same $100 another day. So, I am playing the same $100 but have an extra $150 sitting in Neteller..

The 4th time, which was last night, I didnt make $50...I hit the $.25 Progressive Vid Poker Jackpot for $2000 and immediately cashed out all but $100. Takes a lot of patience but works out in the end..

I really like Intercasino....

SP

xkxrome0ox said:

anyone else think it might be a smarter idea to play without redeeming any type of deposit bonus that require you to wager x amount of times ?

because most of the casinos... seems like you can win pretty easily in the beginning but you are still under the minimum wagering requirement... and by the time you fulfill it.. you probably raised your bet amount or started messing up ... or simple mathematics caught up to you .. since the longer you play .. the higher the chance of the casino taking your money

to win $100 with a $100 deposit without bonus is a lot easier... than trying to win $100 with a $100/100% deposit bonus that requires you to wager $2000 in total or so

what do you guys think ?

Just my two Pfennings,

The only "bonuses" I accept are initial deposit bonuses. That's about it. Except for 32red's monthly $32 amd Crazy Vegas groups 15% for each deposit - that's it. I don't like being dictated what I do or how I play in a casino.

I could go either way on this issue. I've had cases where getting the bonus had forced me to play a certain amount and I ended up hitting something good (like royals) long after I would have quit. Of course other times, I've lost it all after being up a little. My rule of thumb is I won't take a bonus with more than a 5x wagering requirement unless its at least a 50% bonus. And unless they are 2x or less, I totally decline the 10% or 5% neteller bonuses automatically given by many casions these days.

I think Global Player has the most favourable terms for the player, and Boss Media is the next best. Global Player transfers a certain percentage of each bet to your real money account from your bonus account, BM casinos convert bonus money into real money when you meet the WR, but you are always free to withdraw the amount in your real money account, you only forfeit the bonus. Your money is not held hostage, you cannot lose by accepting a bonus.

Global-player ?????

Warning. Stay away from Global-Player.

Sorry Grandmaster, to disagree with your recommendation so strongly. This SW is not such a good choice to play with.

And as you said "... transfers a certain percentage of each bet to your real money account from your bonus account..." , it begs the question :

What Percentage ?

Can u answer that question Grandmaster ?
[It is a tightly held secret that the casino conceals from it's lowly customers]

The software is on my (very) shortlist of riggables.

Warning. Stay away from Global-Player.

There are hundreds of safe, decent casinos to play online. Global Player is not one of them.

It was 2% for BJ, 5% for VP, I don't remember the other games, and there are different rules for roulette and maybe craps.
In any case, you always see your real money balance and bonus balance, so after one bet you can work out what percentage is being transferred.

Ah, i see they have added that information in there FAQ now. That is nice.

It used NOT to be provided to the player.
And the % were much much lower. My last time their was late 2002. Wish i had of kept my correspondence with them as their bonus system them was the most byzantine on the net.

Thanks for updating me on on that point grandmaster.

Perhaps things have gotten better there on the marketing side.

Still don't trust the SW.

I remember, back in the day, loads of people complained about the blackjack game. Having a "dealt" four deck game was a stroke of genius with the right software programming. Money in the bank. Pity for the players who got sucked in, of course.

I played the DWFP game; only at nickels and dimes, but at the end I was about eight deuce quad cycles dry. A reasonably inexpensive experiment, but quite sickeningly awful results.

So I second the software warning.
