Hiya all,

When you get the option to play Fake Vs Real money, are you really playing against the same odds Vs if you were playing with your own?

Im assuming the odds are in your favour to lure you into the temptation of playing with your own money?

Is this the case or as usual am i way off the mark?

The reason im asking is, with my new found knowledge from these forums over the last few days it seems theres another way to pull money from the casinos based on 'odds' but there are no such things i believe, each roll has the same chance outcome than the previous one, or the previous hundred ones?

If this is the case then how is someone getting away with this method, advertising it on the internet, its free, whats in it for them?

"ive cut and pasted from the website itself" Can someone explain the maths behind this, or isnt there any! heh.

ROULETTE SYSTEM
This system is based around laying bets on the Low, Middle and High rows of the Roulette table. All you need to do in order to win is bet on the same one, with just a slight rise in stake each time until it wins. This may sound risky, but we have calculated the bets and odds for you to ensure that you are a winner every time, couple this with the fact that all we are betting is free money and you simply cant lose!

The Low, Middle and High sections have a 1 in 3 chance of winning according to the Law of average and give a return of 2 to 1. By following this system, you only need 1 in 14 to be a winner (Depending on your balance)

This simple method more than quadruples the Law of Average and presents you with an incredible advantage. Firstly you need to understand what these best are:

(I) There is a bet on LOW. You win if any number from 1-12 (inclusive) comes in
($1 chip on 1st 12 in the lower number from number 1-12)

(II) There is a bet on Middle. You win if any number from 13-24 (inclusive) comes in ($1 chip on 2nd12 in the middle numbers from 13-24)

(III) There is a bet on HIGH. You win if any number from 25-36 (inclusive) comes in
($1 chip on 3rd12 on the High number from 25-36)

Now Lets Begin:

Click on the Roulette link to start playing.

Next, click on Private Table and the Standard (min $1 bet max $300)
You will see the roulette table on your screen. You can spin the wheel as much as you like, even without betting (try it and see).

Notice how the winning number in indicated by a peg each time. You need to keep an eye on this peg. Here is how you use your free bonus to make even more money- follow this system EXACTLY.

As you can see the roulette table can be divided up into the first 12 numbers, seconds 12 numbers and the third 12 numbers. We will call these 1, 2 and 3 respectively for ease of use of this system.

You will be placing bets on one of these sets of 12 numbers. The odds on this are 2:1, so when we bet $1 we get $2 in winnings and our original $1 back.
Now get yourself a pen and paper. Spin the roulette wheel without placing a bet and record the result by writing down 1 if the winning number is in the first 12 numbers, 2 if the winning number s in the second 12 and 3 if the winning number is in the third 12 numbers. In the above example the winning number is 36 so you would write down 3.
Click to spin again; you are still not placing any bets at the minute.
When this spin ends write down the result of it in the form spoken about above. Say it was 24, this is in the second 12 numbers so we write down 2. Now continue to do this making note of each number.
An example of this would be:3 2 1 1 2 2
Now on to the main rule of the system, once there has been 7 spins without one of the groups coming up, you start betting. In this case, 3 (the 3rd 12 numbers) has not come up in 7 spins, so now we start betting.
Be patient a run of 7 spins without one of the groups coming up will happen, just keep spinning without betting until it does.

HOW to BET

On the bottom left part of the screen you will see your chips-lets say $200 worth of them. There will be a gold heart by the pile of $1 chips. Make sure that gold heart is next to the $1 chips before starting to bet. Click on the left of the row you want to bet on. Your $1 chip will appear in this position (if you misplace it, right-click it to move it back to you bank).
So when we have 7 spins without one of the groups coming up we bet $1 on the group that has not come up.

So in the example given you would bet $1 on ROW 3. Spin the wheel.
If this group comes up, well done, you have won $2, now start the process again. Remember to include the winning number in your sequence of results.
If you did not win that bet, you bet again on the same group with $2. If this wins you win $4 minus the $1 lost from the first bet so overall you have won $3. If this bet loses your next bet is $3 on the same group. The betting amounts, if you keep on loosing, must follow these amounts.
Bet 1 (initial bet) $1
Bet 2 $2
Bet 3 $3
Bet 4 $4
Bet 5 $6
Bet 6 $9
Bet 7 $13
Bet 8 $20
Bet 9 $30
Bet 10 $45
Bet 11 $67

I would suggest you write this list of numbers on the sheet of paper you are recording this list of groups of numbers that come up.

IMPORTANT: As soon as you win, you go back to $1 bets. Always keep a note of which group of numbers has not come up and when it gets to 7 spins, start betting.

Apologies if im making you slad your heads but this information is helping me get my head around these things and understand them, and this site seems to know what its talking about!

Thanks again all.

I didn't take time to read it to know where you are playing. But if you play at a Microgaming casino you are looking at the same animal for play money or hard earned cash.

One thing to keep in mind; If you are practicing a betting style or Bankroll Management strategy - you might want to play exactly the same way you would in real mode or you are introducing all kinds of variables on your end.

Good luck:thumbsup:

Thanks lojo, i really should have split the question, theres two there really.

Youve answered my first one with MG casinos.

the long text relates to the second Q, based on my understanding that each roll has the same odds as the previous roll then at which point would 'odds' come into play on this system like the person is saying, it seems like someone has gone to the trouble of posting this, and its not a pay site may i add, but im trying to understand why theyve done it, and how it hangs together mathematically, which is what roulette is all about isnt it?

Again just me asking newb questions really =)

Oddly enough, I heard this one last week, and the chap called it the "pilkington" system. Looks to me like just another form of the "Martingale" system. The problem is that at some point you will fail to win before you hit the table max (and cannot follow the system any longer), or lose everything.

The sweetener on this site seems to be the sign up bonus, and this is what makes the difference in the long term. Unfortunately, it is highly likely this will be seen as "bonus abuse" by the casino, and it looks like the person whose site this is on is an affiliate for a particular casino, as in "click here to play".

There is nothing wrong in trying this on a play money account at Microgaming, and seeing how often you suffer a big loss by being unable to complete the sequence. Add say $200 to your play account, and pretend it is both $200 of your own money, and $100+$100 bonus. You will be able to run this experiment a number of times and see how the bonus makes such a difference over the long term (as if using at a number of casinos, and assuming they pay and don't cry "bonus abuse").

This affiliate probably gets paid for player acquisition, so would not worry if you win or lose with the system.

Ahh right i see, so the person may get a slight payout for registering users that goto the casino from his site? Mmm ill check and have a look where the link goes to, good point.

As for the 'system' its just another run whereby theres a good chance you'll exceed the table limit regardless of how many times a low middle of high hasnt come out.

think ill have a go with a play account and see what happens!

Thanks again for the reply!

If the person who wrote this site can not even spell losing correctly - what sort of a gambler are they? :p

Seriously though, I have actually tried this system... and indeed it can work in the short term.

But in my opinion you are destined to fail in the long term for 3 key reasons:-
1. As posted by others above - you will hit table limit before you win. *
2. Even if you don't hit table limit - you can not defy the laws of mathematics and at some point your bets would become too huge for you to keep going.
3. Most important of all - this system wins you tiny amounts of money compared to what you are risking each 'cycle' - and is incredibly boring!! Believe me (cos I've done it) after 30 minutes you will get fed up and try to 'buck the system' by changing your betting pattern - and bam, you lose.

Play it for fun and see, but please be careful if trying it for real.

* If you happen to be mega-rich you may like to know that Grand Virtual roulette tables have a $25,000 limit!

Basically in any good casino, play casino = real casino.

BUT...

1) Sometimes play casino is Offline - ie your computer will generate the random number. This should be stated somewhere on their website. You will get the same fair "random" game, but as your computer isn't as powerful as theirs, the randomness might not be as "random" (if you see what i mean!). However, this does NOT mean it is fixed!

2) Some dodgey outfits rig the play system so that you win.

On the 2nd point....

www.wizardofodds.com

read the section on betting systems.

EVERY system WILL lose eventually, and you will ALWAYS be down by the house edge! Think of it from the casinos point of view; they expect to gain money by the HE. They see say 10 people playing a system and winning a small amount in the short term. Which is a bit pants. But then 1 person gets "unlucky" and loses a large amount, larger roughly than 10 peoples winnings + HE. So the casino still sees a profit! You jus gotta hope you're the 10 in 11 ;).

And SORRY to the person who dislikes CAPITALISED words!
