Okay, my brain cells just aren't cooperating. Has anyone ever used this program before and can give me a "dummies" walk through on how to layer pictures? I want to layer pics of my 4 legged children to post in Rusty's thread but can't understand/comprehend/ the instructions in the tutorial. perhaps some sleep would help LOL. Thanks in advance to any who can help me with this!

Thanks for answering. I want to layer about 9 pics of my kitties and puppies into one pic/collage type thing. I did it once with my grandsons pics, but I haven't used it in a while and have forgotten what I did to acchieve the desired results. *brain fart*

I did a bit of peeking about and see that the two programs are pretty similar in ability so I will give this a shot for you. Choose File> New and create a new document to whatever size you need. Remember you can change this later if you need more room. Click the New Layer icon at the bottom of the Layers Palette. See Picture below. :) Import or copy paste your image onto the canvas and name the image on the layer palette. (If you don't name it they will use the default name of image 1, 2 etc.) Keep clicking New Layer icon for each image if you want to stack them. The layer you are currently working on will be highlighted in the Layers Palette. You can change the order of the stacked pictures by dragging the name of the layer above or below the names of other layers. You can also convert one of your existing layers to become the background layer if you wish. Your chosen background will have a little lock symbol next to the name to show that it can't be moved around. To make one of your pics into the background image choose Layer> New> Background from layer.

I sure hope this helps you. I am much more at home with Adobe Fireworks. Maybe other peeps will pop up to give more guidance. Good luck Ksech.
