Does anyone out there play in mobile casinos? If you do play them... do you prefer to play on a mobile instead of a PC?
Which Mobile Casino is best to try out?

I think it would be cool to play whilst watching TV... cant think of any other situations where I would personally find Mobile Casinos useful.

Oh and Hi :) I'm new to online Casinos:) just trying to make conversation.

I prefer playing on a PC myself:) I tried to play mobile but the screen is too small.

I play a bit (slots) on a tablet but I find it a bit awkward in that you need 2 hands and it makes your arm/wrist/fingers ache after a bit. It's Ok for say a 30 minute session or so but anything longer and I either get distracted, get the laptop out or I'll wait until I was at the PC. Also, the games choice isn't really wide enough yet so it lacks incentive.

One trick developers are missing is auto-play. For example, there is no auto-play feature on Microgaming mobile casinos which really limits the time I spend playing them because of the issues above. Add that, and it would make playing mobile (on tablets at least) more attractive IMO.

I agree with the comment above that phone's suffer from screen-size issues which is a big turn-off for me. Added to the fact that typing in usernames, passwords, card numbers etc on a fiddly little keyboard is offputting, I would rarely play on a phone. I've done it a fair bit to test it all out but compared to any other medium it's a bit painful to be honest and I'm never that far away from a tablet, laptop or desktop anyway so I would rather wait. Phones are best suited to sports-betting and bets where you are in and out quickly.

All that said, it has a big future when games choice is better, the current offerings are fine-tuned and flexi-screens come in.

I play on a variety.

I play on PC, Mobile, TV and Tablets (guess these are mobile to :p) If it is not going so great on the PC I will switch over to mobile/tablet (they use different servers for these). I have had some great hits on my Mobile/Tablet and some of the slots look better on a small crisp HD screen.

As for who to try out, I mostly play 32Red, Guts and Jackpot Capital on my portable devices. Saying that most casinos these days offer some sort of mobile casino platform so take your pick, the only one I can think of that does not is 3Dice.

Buy PC in a while or ipad now to play

wow.. ok.

So mobile Casinos have a disadvantage because of the smaller screen and they lack variety.

would it be weird if i played on the train?

i need a new PC for gaming but lacking funds... so im thinking of playing on my mobile phone (iPhone) for a while until i save enough.
OR i could get an ipad mini now and play on that?

any advise?
Buy a PC in a while and stick to iphone or Buy an ipad to play now?

Im looking for a good experience... i love gaming in general.
;)

If it was me, I'd buy a small, light, cheap 11.6" or 13.3" laptop or Chromebook (check out the new 11.6" Acer C720p touchscreen Chromebook for example) for a variety of reasons: option to access the PC versions of casinos with more games (& autoplay!), less painful to use, easier keyboard, bigger screen, only one hand needed, multi-tasking etc. The iPad is the best "mobile" option IMO but very limiting and most mobile casinos have a very limited games choice at the moment.

Im with Simmo! Buy the smaller cheaper notebook (or laptop) you will have more variety for your gaming experience. You can also buy a decent laptop second hand too. Mobile is fine for a couple of minutes but no good for a long session IMHO.

You may already know this but also, Chromebooks and Windows 8 PCs boot up mega-quick (2-5 seconds on mine) so the "always on" advantage a tablet used to have isn't really relevant anymore. That used to be one reason I played on a tablet.

I played slots on my mobile phone in a hospital waiting room once and I felt dirty LOL. I had to turn the sound off and sit at an angle so no-one could see what I was doing. :D

Never play on my phone, never have and never will. It just doesn't seem right. My phone is for communication and personally I like to reserve some quiet time in my own space to play, with a full screen laptop and relax. I just couldn't envisage playing 'on the go' as to me it's almost compulsive. Obviously the casinos want you to, as mobile gaming increases the hours in a day you could spend money with them, whether Simmo's waiting room example or at break time at work.
We have enough exposure with casino spam, TV adverts and during sports events and mobile is overkill IMO.

...mobile is overkill IMO.

Thing is, there is a whole generation coming through that use mobile devices for entertainment rather than desktop/laptops. If casinos cannot find a way to make gambling appeal on these devices, they will suffer in the long-term. At the moment, I think "appeal" is the key word. Mobile casinos function OK but once you've tried them, you're generally left underwhelmed.

I think any casino player who gambles for extended periods of time on mobile devices will soon realise that, in it's current guise, it is going to be very hard to keep people playing for as long as they do when they are on devices that offer larger screens, a more comfortable environment and probably most importantly, a less distracting environment.

As technology improves, screens get bigger (flexible), devices handle multi-tasking better and as game choice increases, this should get easier. Or more likely, the gaps between desktop and mobile will start to blur.

Hi there, and welcome.

I play on my mobile a lot. Altough it is never going to give you the laptop experience, it is handy.

But...

- Microgaming slots have often different minimum bets at different casinos. Thunderstruck, for example, is .09 on PC and could be .90 on Mobile.
- Netent slots won`t let you change number of lines. And I bought my phone last year and Android is already outdated for newest games.

Where do you find yourself when playing with your mobile and not your laptop? If you prefer the "laptop experience" why use the mobile phone?
