Payout by cheque reliable?

MasterCard doesn't allow payouts to be paid via creditcard, and so many people will use cheques for this. To me, sending a cheque by mail sounds like something that could easily go wrong. Even if the casino is honest, it seems to me the mail could mess it up. International mail seems like a long and winding road...

Am I too paranoid? Do any of you out there have a lot of experience with this method of being paid your earnings?

Ha ha. I remember there was a casino in the Dominican Republic that would justify the 5 weeks that it took to send winner's checks. They sent them surface mail so they were put on ships and sent out to sea.

So of course it depends on who you are dealing with. The checks I've received (Crypto, Playtech, Boss and Microgaming) are usually received via normal mail in three to five days. Anything substantial (let's say over $1,000) is sometimes sent via overnight express. Most casinos want to keep you happy, and they realize that instant payment of winnings is crucial.

Most casinos will have this outlined in their "payment" section or FAQs on their website, giving you an idea how long it might take. Personally, I've never had a problem, but I know of many who've had.

Again, it depends on the casino.
