My account was locked here. But to make matters worse, I was never given any notice via any means of communication as to why this action was taken. My account had $175 in it. To make matters even worse I emailed them 4 times, and never got any response. I would call them up, but I would like to have any promises made to me documented, and email is better for this method. I'm not sure where to turn anymore, but I want my $175 back. I think it is funny that when I go to make a deposit there is no problem, but when I want to withdraw a profit my account is locked.

Help me Bryan!!:notworthy

you probably just need to phone and confirm your details.
they might want ID
If I were you Id phone and your account will most likely be reopened in minutes.

Id??

An ID request is not reason enough to lock an account. Howcome they don't offer a chat? of if they do, I have never been able to locate it.

Party Poker might be a good company but their site and software is just way to messed up

You did'nt mess around and have more accts with them on your computer?
They hate that kind of stuff.

Nope, not that im aware of. But I do use a very public wireless internet which a lot of my neighbors are connected to. I have a feeling this has something to do with it.

They used to but it got to the point where the wait times were ridiculous so it became useless and since they have a 1-800# (which IMO is just as useless) they probably felt like it was good enough.

I'm shocked that Poker Stars has not overtaken them yet. It's only a matter of time. They already have more tournament players and have for quite some time.

If you are on a public wireless network then their request for ID is not too shocking, just play along but expect it to take days to get your account unlocked even after you send it.

I would be more than happy to send in any identification, however they have not made any request for such items.

If they have locked your account then they have a reason for it - its as simple as that. I have had friends who have had accounts locked for having two accounts (not cheating through this but just as a way of bankroll management etc) as well as some other reasons. Without knowing the time scale involved the fact that you have waited between e-mails or the nature of your e-mails the fact that they have not responded yet is not too significant.

Most poker sites take early intervention approach to freezing accounts. If something looks suspicious then they freeze your account and then ask questions later. That way if there is a problem then the person has not already bailed with their money.

Remember that the mere positibility that several people are playing from the same pc/network could be enough to freeze your account you do not want to get too rude or indignant with them. If they still do not answer your e-mails find a phone number and try it. At the moment it is way too early to assess whether they have done anything amiss as yet.

wireless network

Forgive me for being dumb but why would it spring to your mind that having a wireless network would be a possible cause unless you were running 2 pcs off it and are now worried youve been caught cheating??? partgaming is listed on the london stoick exchange and DO NOT close acctswithout good reason and if they do they ALWAYS tell you by email within 10 minutes of your acct being locked why it has been locked....

Party poker makes a phone call to verify some information with every new account signup. They just want to make sure that they have valid phone contact information for all of their players.

If they cannot contact you by phone, they lock your account and send you an email asking you call in to verify your information. After a 30 second phone call, your account will be unlocked.

What is the problem here? Why would you even make this post without calling party poker?

Craig,

Many wireless networks will share the same IP. IE mutiple users could be on the same IP with no intention. Reason that VPN may not work. I would not normally play on such a wireless.

They never called me...

one member of my forum was closed by party poker yesterday.
no call, no email. withdrawal was refused.

if chinese players play for bonus or lose, ok, keep playing.
if they win some real big money, no, you will be blocked.
no explanation. no evidence. they do as they want.

even worse, they never return the deposit back to the players.

some chinese players want to sue party poker but don't know how to do it.

his account was closed.
he played his friend's account, won and was blocked.
other friends, relatives......
all accounts were blocked one by one because he wins almost everyday.
but party poker think he makes fraudulent activities.

how much does party poker make by confiscating the funds from the blocked accounts everyday?

mmmmmmmm

A poker site will never close an account because the customer wins every day buddy...

A casino, if they are a bunch of scammers, might. Remember that when you deposit at a poker network that money is not proffit for the poker site. Some other guys is going to win your money, or you are going to make money out of some one else.

Poker rooms win money from rake, which is calculated by the amount of money you generate from your deposit. So actually, if you are winning, and you are playing for a long time, that might mean you are generating a lot of rake for them. No reason to close your account.

If you have been spotted of performing collusion on their site or in one of their sister rooms that might be a reason. Or if you have charged back an account on one of their sites will me a stronger reason.

Making money at a poker site is not reason for a manager to say: DAMN, LETS CLOSE THIS GUY'S ACCOUNT. They are not making money of what you are proffititng.

Did he log into his friends & relative's house from his house? If that's the case, then I can understand 100% why those other accounts were blocked, and pretty much ensures that he'll never be able to play at PP ever again.

Wangpoker,

You mentioned that the accounts of your friend, his friends and those of other relatives were closed one by one. Were the account holders playing at the same table(s) or was it your friend who was using others' accounts to continue playing. If it was the former, they could accuse you of collusion to gain from the other players, bonus abuse if the other users had bonus funds or in an extreme case, money laundering which I doubt because of the relatively small amount involved. If he were using others' accounts to continue playing although he was chucked out, then I must say that you cannot blame the poker room to oust a banned player.

I am a Chinese myself and I dont take lightly to establishments who discriminate us. However, at present I see no evidence of that happening. Maybe you could try sending an e-mail to the address they gave you. Anybody here knows whether they really do respond?

I think this should be put in the Joke Thread

I think this should be put in the Joke Thread:lolup:
It sounds to shady to me. Because someone won everyday and that's why they closed the acct.
They should go on the Poker World Tour if they are that good.

read my post.
A/Cs were closed one by one.
each account play independently.
this guy is really good at partypoker.

chuchu59, if you can read simplified chinese, go to qwzj com, dzpk com, e8cai com.... read posts there.

as for discrimination, ask 888 and starluck, how many casino players haven been blocked. 888 return the deposit but never the winnings if blocked.
