Hi everyone,

I have a question for those who play this game at Microgaming. I got a pair of 3s as the lo hand and a straight 7-8-9-10-J straight as the high hand. The dealer had J-K as the low hand and 5-6-7-9 and a Joker as the high hand. That means the joker is transformed into an 8 to complete the straight. As the value of my straight is higher than the dealer it means I win the game as both my lo hand and high hand beats the dealer. Not so as the software states it is a push and the explanation given by the casino is a straight with a joker trumps any straight without a joker. The casino has not been able as yet to produce the rules stating this is so. Comments please guys.

Not played this for a long, long time but my thoughts would be as follows

In your case as you straight is higher (ie straight to the 'J') then you should win the hand.

If you both had the same straight IE 5-6-7-8-9 BUT the dealers hand contained a Joker and yours natural, then fair as has been said.

I would argue this one out or at least seek a more descriptive clarification/explanation.
