Hi guys,

Not posted on here for a couple of months but ive got a simple question for those who are in the know to answer please...ill explain later why.

Does this rule apply to Online European Roulette as well as Live Casino.

I am based in the UK so is their a difference to the rules or does the same rule apply no matter which Country you live in..whole world etc!

"The game of Roulette is a game built almost on pure luck as a spin of the wheel decides your fate. In Roulette, you decide where to place your bet and then the casino official will spin the wheel. Once the ball lands, you will know whether you have won or lost."

Im asking as i would like to know if as i stake my bet should i know or anybody else in that case know exactly if you have lost or won before the ball lands in a number.

I see it as if one can tell if they have lost or won before the ball has landed in a number then the game of Roulette is NOT a random game or a game of luck as it has already been determined by the machine or powers that be were that ball will land.

Am i right or not, please your comments are wanted on this asap.

Cheers

Well, actually if you are playing Online Roulette, spinning reel and a ball landing on number is nothing but visual effects to make the game more realistic.

In reality you place bet and press Spin, casino client sends a simple request to the server, RNG generates a number and sends it to you. All it takes about one 1 second.

Hi there,

Thanks for the above.. i gather you know the ins and outs of this due to your logo so is it really a game of chance or is the number already been determined.

Thanks in advance.

It's possible the software could know in advance what rng numbers are coming out in future spins, but without any evidence to prove this then the software is innocent until proven guilty and that would apply to all software driven games as well.

I guess the only person who could answer your question is the games programmer of that particular software platform.

Personally I trust some casino software, but not all.

What's the difference?
Even if it is pre-determined, it's no use you you or anyone else unless they know before hitting "spin" what the outcome will be.
I disagree with SlotMonster - I think it's closer to 1 millisecond than a whole second! :p

I've been playing online casinos for over 10 years, and my opinion is that the roulette numbers are totally random and generated the instant you hit "spin".
The only exception that I know of is BetVoyager where a sequence IS picked in advance due to their "Randomness Control Guarantee". If you want to know more about that, then SlotMonster IS your man!

Thanks Guys

Thanks for your help with this chaps it is much appreicated.

Reason i asked because im playing on a site now and the instant i hit spin i no wether i have lost or won without the ball landing in any number and it had me wondering if it was random how did it know before the ball landed if i had won or not.

Thanks for your help!

Usually the simulation plays out before revealing the winning number. Unless you have the game settings set on fast play as with playtech software for example the number is produced a nano second after hitting spin. Out of interest which casino or software platform are you are playing on? Is it Nostradamus casino?

I've always believed that the number is indeed randomly picked after I hit 'spin'. Of course, it's a number picked at random from the remaining numbers which I have not selected.

In B&M Casinos (Land Based)... Roulette Video games (like Blackjack and Poker) are RTP based. My personal opinion is that Online Roulette is a Slot Machine.

Hi Again,

Thanks again for all comments.

In regards to which gaming site...it is PKR.

And im still in doubt as to wether it is indeed a random selection as ive been playing small stake since i noticed this on Thursday and i can automatically tell as soon as i hit "spin" wether ive lost or won.

My thought was how can it be random as such lightning speed although i do understand now the graphics are just a feature for purely entertainment reasons.

Can i just add when i first pointed out i was told it was impossible that i could know before the ball has landed if i have won or lost, there was in their words, no way this could happen, but i showed them and then they backtracked blaming my graphics card and drivers for the fault ha ha.

Yes i understand and i know it might not have any impact on the result but im sure even more than before despite what the first few replys to my thread say, that it is not random, to me random means it is going to land anywere as in a live casino not as soon as i click spin and i mean that instant time were the ball is going to land, that to me is pre determined and not random.

t bh what ive found with online roulette its not random at all its set on a rtp% , i realy dont think it matters to what numbers you pick & as youve pointed out you know before to wether your win or lose , maybe you better to stick with live games if your not from usa , at least you can see the ball bounce around , after a great run of slots on microgaming not so long ago , i did it all back on premier roulette to a tune of 3k , my stats were just a joke considering my bet pattern, thats not the first time either i should know better by now , funny how so few hit those big numbers, but once the bet level is crap bang they come everytime )

online roulette is not alive

The roulette game is certainly a game of luck but live roulette and online roulette are two different game . In a casino with a croupier who turning the whell....each spins are unique and in anyway , the previous spins can indicate where the next one can be....for exemple you can pass a life time turning a whell and you may died before all the numbers come out once.

But you wont have to wait more than a hours to see all the 36 numbers come out at least once !!!! online

you maybe right but the casino did not considere roulette as slots cause the roulette bets count for 10 % or 0 % in turnover bonus funds but slots bets count for 100% ^
