Got an email from OKPay that they were doing the BitCoin thing now. I don't know a thing about BitCoin except what I have read here.

However, got me to thinking. Does OKPay still work at 3Dice?

Could you buy BitCoins, fund OKPay, gamble at 3Dice or whereever takes OKPay, then withdraw to OKPay, transfer to BitCoin and have it sent to your bank without US gov/banks sticking their nose in it?

You wouldn't be funding a casino, you would be buying BitCoins and you wouldn't be getting money from a casino but from BitCoin.

Maybe somebody that knows about this stuff can shed a little light on this.

I am *very* interested in knowing this also. I miss playing at 3Dice. My only deposit option has been mypaylinq which I declined to use.

So whoever has info, please post.

Thanks,
Diane

Diane, all I have is the email they sent me, which I will send to you if you want.

Isn't it JStrike that has the BitCoin casino? Maybe he can shed light on this for us.

Diane you can now use ezpay vouchers at 3D and it is simple and free. You use pp or visa to get the vouchers, you buy for instance a 30 voucher, you pay 30 and get 30...simple!

Thanks, but I got the same email .......

Sorry, but not sure what you mean? "ezpay vouchers" aren't listed as a deposit option at 3Dice cashier page. UKash is too expensive and only a $50 limit.

Is there another option that isn't listed on the site?

I signed up to try paste & pay -- but trial deposit is still pending at cc site so I can't get code to complete transaction and be fully verified yet.

Thanks,
Diane

I have used Bitcoins through OKPay in the past. Now that they have automated it a bit it'll probably be a bit better, but it is still very much a pain in the ass. The worst part is actually getting the Bitcoins. Since most exchangers don't accept credit cards or PayPal because of chargeback risk (and the only one I'm aware of that does charges exorbitant commissions), you'll probably either have to use Dwolla and wait a few days, or try your luck with any number of PayPal knockoffs. If you were to just put a good chunk of money in Dwolla and then exchange for Bitcoins when you were ready to play it probably wouldn't be too bad.

You can also find another person and do a transfer, but then you run the risk of just plain getting scammed.

Once you have Bitcoins, you just send them to your address (install the Bitcoin software and put it on your computer), send them to OKPay's address, and then wait for them to get processed in 2 hours or so.

Maybe jstrike is aware of better ways to make it work, but honestly it's still a tedious process compared to things like Paste and Pay.

Hi Diane..some casinos call it ezpay, others call it pasteandpay. I don't understand why it is taking you so long. Anna had told me about it before they got it so I got verified one night in about 5 minutes. When you go to verify the cc, they take a small amount off of the card and all you have to do is enter that amount. If it is thru a bank just use online banking to see the amount or call the automative teller line for the amounts off the card. It will be the small amount if you are using another type of cc card just go look at the transaction history. In other words you don't have to wait for a paper statement. I had it done literally in 5 minutes. It is so easy and simple. I wish inet and sloto had that deposit method.

Diane, just want you to understand, they ate not going to send you a verification code, you have to verify the withdrawal bank. I used my prepaid card, then immediately I went to the prepaid card website and looked at my history of transaction and there was the small withdrawal amount. I then went back to pasteandpay and entered the amount and I was verified. It took all of 5 minutes. With pasteandpay you can only use paypal to buy a voucher once a day however you can fund it with your visa up to 850.00 per day, so that is real good IMO. Better still you are not charged a fee. I hope this helps.

My understanding is that I have to wait for the 4 digit code that will appear on the cc statement next to the $1.64 that they deposited. I went to the cc site and the transaction dollar amount shows up, but there is no "code" next to the transaction. It is the code that I need, not the dollar amount of the transaction. But I will go back and check again to be sure.

Thanks for being so helpful and taking the time to give me more details. I appreciate it.

Diane

You're welcome, and yes there should be a code but it should be on your online banking. Good luck!

See this is all I have right now..........I am guessing "code" will appear tomorrow when the transaction should go from "pending" to complete.

Transaction date: 03/25/2012
Transaction type: Temp Auth / Pending Pymt
Reference number: TEMP

A temporary authorization is an approved transaction that has not yet been posted to your account. The amount of the transaction has been deducted from your available credit. Normally, a temporary authorization converts into a posted transaction, but if the merchant doesn't complete the transaction it will expire and the temporary charges will be removed.

Thanks,
Diane
