NordicBet Disaster

I recently saw a post here regarding the WMS games which can now be found at other casinos. Having been an avid fan of these games over at Jackpot Party I couldn't wait to try them with the extra RTP % on top so I hopped over to NordicBet which seems to have some great reviews here.

30.00 euros in, show me the machines. Nothing loads. I went over to the Live Chat:

Joakim: Hi, my name is Joakim.
Tom: Hi...
Tom: Games were working fine on free play
Tom: I made a 30.00 euro deposit
Tom: Now games won't play
Tom: Just
Tom: "The connection to the server was lost"
Tom: :/
Tom: Hello?
Joakim: I apologize for a late reply
Joakim: kindly try in another browser and it should work fine
Tom: Ok, one moment.
Tom: Nope.
Tom: Same issue.
Joakim: kindly delete the browsing history in this browser, restart the browser and try again
Tom: Its not browser history or cache, im trying on several different machines.
Joakim: kindly try to remove the history as there are no restrictions on your account
Tom: ...
Tom: I don't think you understand.
Tom: I have 14 machines in here.
Tom: Im trying your site on several of them.
Tom: All have the same issue.
Tom: Its not history or cache.
Tom: All works fine in free play, as soon as I log back in they don't load.
Joakim: I can see that your casino account is inactive, I will have to send this to the responsible department, the issue should be solved within a couple hours but we will send a e-mail when it has been done
Tom: :/
Tom: Why is it inactive?
Tom: Can you just refund the 30 euro deposit please.
Tom: Everyone at Casino Meister said this place was great, what an awful first time experience I am having.
Joakim: We apologize for the inconvenience caused, when a Casino account is not used for a long period it is removed, We will inform you by e-mail as soon as your casino account is activated again
Tom: And why do you need all this information from me?
Tom: Proof of ID card, utility bills, copies of credit cards.
Tom: Im not going to send that.
Joakim: I received a answer that it now should be activated
Tom: Its still not loading. Same issue as before.
Joakim: kindly now remove all the cookies and cache memory in this browser, restart it and try again, contact us then again if you still face any issues
Tom: I have done so, it still gives the same error.
Joakim: Kindly do it in this browser, you will also have to close this chat window, contact us then again if you still face any issues
Tom: Im on a separate machine logged into the casino.
Tom: And I have the chat on this machine.
Tom: Its still NOT WORKING.
Tom: Can you just refund the 30 euros please.
Joakim: Kindly do it on this machine so that we can see the issue when you then contact us again
Tom: =/
Tom: Can you please refund the 30 euros.
Joakim: kindly remove the browsing history on this computer, restart the browser and contact us then again. We can check whats causing the issue
Tom: I assume its something to do with all of these documents you are asking me to supply.
Tom: Im not going to send you my entire financial identity to play some slots.
Joakim: that has nothing to do with the games
Tom: Will I be able to withdraw without supplying all of this information?
Joakim: kindly do as I informed and contact us then again, we can then check whats causing the issue

At this point I closed down the chat, cleared cache, restarted my browser. Surprise, surprise. Same issue, no working games. Back to live chat... I pasted the previous conversation to the new chat rep:

Tom: Can I please just have my 30 euros refunded, that's all I want.
Keijo: Hello Tom, we need that casino-department sends us answer and they will credit your account.
Tom: They will refund the 30 euros back to my bank?
Keijo: Unfortunately we dont know yet.
Tom: Heh.
Tom: So games don't work, and no refund.
Tom: Awesome. Time to go make a post :)
Keijo: You have e-mail from security department.
Tom: Yeah, more than likely requesting my entire financial identity before they will refund me my money.
Keijo: You will have to upload documents before you can transfer money.
Tom: Which im not willing to send.
Tom: Its fine, I will go and let everyone know about this at CasinoMeister. My funds should not be held random. I just want my deposit refunding because your service does not work.
Keijo: But our security department needs those documents before you can make any withdrawals.
Tom: Its not a withdrawal, its a refund because your service DOES NOT WORK.
Keijo: EUR 30.0 This is your accounts balance.
Tom: Yes, I made the deposit 20 minutes ago, games do not work, I just want it refunded.
Keijo: Unfortunately, I cant help you better. You should just upload the documents into your account.
Tom: Its fine, I will sort it with my bank and CasinoMeister.
Tom: Have a good day.
Keijo: Have a nice day Tom!

Im not willing to upload a copy of my passport, a utility bill, and a copy of my credit card. This is my entire financial identity in exchange for playing some slots. I have never had to do this process anywhere else in 3 years of playing.

What would you guys advise?

Perfectly usual. I can't understand in playing for 3 years (unless at the same few casinos) that you haven't been asked for this ID. It's to prevent money laundering; the casinos are obliged to do it at some stage, some first w/d some when your w/d's have reached a cumulative total of say 2k or 3k. You might get away with it longer if using neteller as if that's a verified account the casino may deem it as proof in itself via a third party.
READ THE T&C's ALWAYS BEFORE DEPOSITING. I guarantee you that in there it will say either 'we will require verification prior to first w/d' (regardless of w/d a deposit OR winnings as it's the same thing) or 'we may at any time ask for verification when players request a w/d'.

Yes, some rogues will use it to delay the process to encourage a reversal but most will not. I upload the docs regardless of being asked; it's good practice and I know I won't get hassle as I will NOT deposit until I have that 'docs approved' e-mail received and copied away. I've just joined bet-at.eu. I have not deposited there yet but will do soon when I get time for a session. I submitted my docs Saturday and received my approval e-mail Monday AM. They now have no just cause to delay w/d's as I can show this to PAB or their CS or Rep. if necessary.

Just get on and do it. Protesting it will get you nowhere as it's in their T&C's somewhere. It's safe as houses (NordicBet) and don't get arsey over it. You may find that they're being kind to you letting you w/d it anyway. SOME casinos will not act like a bank and let you stick money in and then w/d UNLESS you have played the deposit through at least once, twice or say 5 times.

Like I said, get used to it. It's OK and normal. Unless you have something to hide.

I could better understand this if the service was working and I was trying to withdraw, but they are not offering me the games which I paid for. I should not have to provide intensive financial details for a refund of a defective product. Seems like some other users are having the same issue with the WMS games over at NordicBet too.

I think you'd have the refund by now if you just uploaded them rather than arguing the toss. It takes a few minutes and it will probably assist you in that then you will be verified in future at all their group's casinos and won't have a similar issue.
