I met a rep of Casino Nordica in January and unless I am getting muddled up, shortly after received an email to say that their investors had pulled out so the launch wouldn't be happening. Maybe i have my wires crossed :confused:

I played at Casino Nordica and it seems okay. As stated above the casino is owned by casinokontanter.com and seems to be pretty much the same thing as casino.dk, a new Danish language casino. It seems like Nordica is the English language version and Casino.dk is the Danish language version. I don't know if you can claim bonuses at both places. I paged their live chat and I was told that the casino opened about a week ago. They still seem a bit inexperienced in the ways of their software and the web site is written partly in "danglish", i.e. English as written by Danes who overestimate their own command of the language. The live chat was nice and friendly, though. The casino is based in Malta.

To my best judgement, and in spite of any child diseases that tehy may have, I'd rate this as a trustworthy casino. The casino.dk address used to be a major casino portal and forum, so I dare say that they are familiar the business. The portal had a fine reputation and I think they shovelled in a fair bit of affiliate money over the years, so I think that the casino is well funded. Using the web address for a real casino instead of a portal also makes sense since it's prime internet real estate. Casino Nordica is more of an afterthought, I suppose, but funded by the same people.

I sent my ID docs, they were read, but not responded to - that is also a worry IMO.

I have not even received a mail confirming my withdrawal nor of course then been asked to submit identification.

But I do not like that I have no way to see my transaction history (only flash casino), so I can not even see my withdrawal. It is just me or can you not see the transactions?

But I know the people behind the old casino.dk site and they were very reliable. It was a casino portal just like casinomeister. As an example I once signed up at a scum casino(Prestige) through the portal. Unfortunately the casino decided not to pay me though I had did nothing wrong. Casino.dk then paid me directly since I had signed up through them and they had given up with their Prestige contact.

Aahh! Now I remembered why I can not see it. it is not working, microgaming must have fucked up with some mapping. In the first days of the casino the deposit page for the casino also showed the "Wild Jack Casino" page instead of the casinonordica one. But it was only for some users (like me), which is a bit of a mystery to me. Why not all, it is just a link ?

i tried nordica's $50 sign up. turned 100 starting balance into 1000. only played through about 4% of the wagering, as i played some roulette, vp (lots of doubling-up lol) and bj. withdraw for 950, but i had to do it as bank transfer, i deposited with visa and they can't pay back to that. my question is, what are the bank code, holding number, and routing number? i got the swift code and the transit and account number right, but some of the other figures i was unsure and entered merely a question mark. should i be worried it won't process? i think the swift and account numbers are the only really important ones, and the rest is just supplementary. i wonder, are a lot of people opting to play the "instant" mg's rather than download versions now, as rebellion against the file sizes and auto updates of all games?

Bank Code should mean the same as the SWIFT/BIC Code, but only to transfer money within your own country.

So in our country (austria) my bank has as an example "20320" as Bank Code and the SWIFT/BIC is "ASPKAT2L".

The first is for national and the second for international transfers.

A routing (or ABA) number, I believe, is a US specific thing. In England and probably the EU, the equivalent is called an IBAN number, which takes a different format but incorporates the branch code, account no and sort code.

One of the issues some casino payment backends have is they check the no. of characters in the "Routing" number and reject the IBAN as the formats differ. One to watch out for.
 
apparently, i've just wiki'd, the routing number in canada is comprised of the transit number plus a dash plus the institution number. both of these numbers were included in other fields though (transit code and bank code), so apart from the holding number as "?" i think i have everything right. :thumbsup:

A minor correction, the routing number is analogous to the sort code, which in the cases of traditional High Street banks identifies the branch where the account is held.

Promising news so far :thumbsup: The only thing I hate about Nordica, and the only reason why I didn't sign up last weekend when I was looking to play, is that my favorite games are not available in flash mode! Does anyone know if they are always just going to be flash, or will they have a download version at some point?
 
I hate also Flash Casinos from Microgaming, because not only, that the best Slots are not available, even the expert mode doesn't work really, because a "Quick Spin" on Loaded doesn't change anything, when you play with it and then it is even slower as a RTG Casino :D

Hey Jenn, I was told that they have no plans for the download version at this time, or in the near future.

I actually like the flash games, but then...90% of my play is done on Thor, SB and Kathmandu. If they'd add Kat to the flash, I'd be a happy camper.
 
If they added Kathmandu and Avalon and maybe hitmen or something like that I'd be happy with it. I think elementals is available in flash mode (?) and that's one that I do low-roll a lot. I don't know, I guess I just like to have choice. Most of the time I stick to my usual few, but the odd time I get a little "crazy" and play something completely new and different.. lol.

myself and another who has pm'ed me here, both are canadian and thus no neteller. we both won in the 1k range at nordica, he finished wr, i did not. we are both withdrawing to bank transfer since perhaps 2-3 weeks now. i have emails of confirmation of withdrawal amount etc but no real time frame for payment. as i understand, the other fellow has received no email responses from them. someone said they had to send in ID documents? i have not been asked for any that i recall. i hope this does not equate to another three weeks of stall time. indeed it might be that their customer base has ballooned and many bonus hunters are hitting it up for its clearplay structure and easy winnings if you bet big and get up quick. and if they had a large number of winners each cashing out more than 3x their deposit, they could very well be in the red right now since it seems to be a very small operation, this could be a case of hem-haw'ing and damage control...

incidentally, i never bet more than $25 at any one time (and then only near the end, began betting $5 and $10 at roulette and vp, moved on to $12.50 vp and $20/$25 bj) and worked up slowly, getting many favourable doubles, this feature is much more forigivng in mg flash than anywhere else i find, as in with the free spins promos as well i can often double up and get a max win on these freeplays. the thing i hate about the flash-only casinos is i forget to go to them! i have to navigate the web or open a bookmark in explorer just to get there and it never occurs to me. casinos cherry and euro bonus-banned me ages ago, and they were about the only instant-play staples i used. last month i lost a ridiculous amount chasing blue square's sign-up, and never even got there at the end of it. i should go recoup that 75 quid if it's still active. anyways, we shall see what develops...
 
Happy, to you and the other Canuck...have they not offered you Moneybookers as a withdrawal option? I asked about this a few weeks ago, and was told that it is an option for Canadians (for deposit and withdrawal). However, it has still not shown up in my banking interface. I queried them on this, and was told by support to uninstall the software?? Ummmm...it's a flash casino. What do I uninstall? I tried clearing cookies and temp internet files, and typed in the URL direct instead of clicking the icon, but it made no difference....there is no Moneybookers option. I haven't pursued it because I haven't deposited as yet.

I'm not liking the sounds of this though.

This was the approach taken at Casino Action when they went to EZBonus. It caused a bit of confusion for players who "knew" that the EZBonus model allows the cash to be withdrawn at any time.
Perhaps flash casinos really DO pay better than download, as has often been suggested before, and they have more winners than they had allowed for.
It is possible to create a desktop launch icon for MG Flash casinos, most now offer this as an option. This allows it to sit on the desktop along with al the other casino icons, making it harder to forget it. If you do this, it installs a shortcut to a program file folder which contains the actual URL launch link (quite unnecessary really). This would be the only thing to "uninstall", but it would have no bearing on the appearance, or not, of a withdrawal option.

Zoozie was told they can't pay to Neteller, and he is NOT Canadian - so what's up?
 
can danes use neteller? the casino is danish and maybe this hampers them from using it to pay with?

nothing at this casino indicate playthrough is mandatory, and they said my withdrawal was cleared, so for certain casino nordica allows early cashout. hopefully they will get back to me sometime today (wednesday) about my withdrawal. and the casino confirmed to the other canadian player i mentioned that his cheque is in the mail as of today. so it's looking good so far... (knocks on table) :thumbsup:

I suspect, however, that many of these posters have already contacted casino support, and have failed to make much progress.
There is certainly one clear issue, as I pointed out, how can one player be told that withdrawals cannot be made to Neteller, yet another poster gives you kudos for refunding to Neteller within hours!

New casinos are particularly vulnerable to having these types of problems ruin their business model for a long time. There are so many rogue operators who try to get on board that when problems start getting reported on the forums players assume the worst, which is often that the new operator is underfunded and cannot cope if not just a rogue in it for a quick profit.

As for Danes having a problem using Neteller, I have not heard this before, It has been Canadians and Turks that have lost the meaningful use of their Neteller accounts. Many players dislike cheques due to the long time it seems to take casinos to pay by this method, direct bank transfer might be a problem if players didn't want their banks to know they gambled online, but otherwise should be a good payment method.

If online gambling is illegal in Denmark, why is a Danish online casino allowed to operate? I am often puzzled by casinos that ban players only fromtheir own country, almost as if they don't want their own countrymen to suffer, but it's OK to take the money from the rest of the world.
Lasseters are in this odd position, whereby the Australian government in their territory seek to protect their own countrymen from the sin and suffering of online gambling, but tell the rest of the world they are the most tightly regulated and reputable online casino in the business and a great place to put our money.
It makes me worry that there is some unwritten rule that casinos cannot allow players from their own country, and that this might become an issue when some online casinos begin operating from the UK in September.

got my cheque for CAD 950 from nordica today. i am very pleased with this. they answered promptly every time to my emails and the cheque was sent 12 may and arrived today. quality result! :thumbsup: if ever i'm in the mood to play flash mg, these guys will be my first choice :D
 
so their methods are slow! have they been stalling you? most americans are having to deal with cheque payouts and month-long waits regularly. not saying this should be the norm but given that i had a failed bank transfer and once we discussed doing it by cheque they got it done really quick, i thought. sorry it's dragging on for some. this thread kinda died so i wasn't sure what was up with anyone else who tried them. i hope it all works out for everyone.:thumbsup:
 
I am still waiting for my money (1 month now). However I do know the people behind the casino so I am not worried and CS is first class. But they can not treat customers like this for long, because then they will have no customers to treat...

I got my money today - snail mail with a check. I never really doubted they would pay up. But I am surprised they still claim you can not withdraw back to your Neteller. I will not deposit there again before withdrawal can be done
to neteller though. It is a shame since CS was fast, excellent and always very polite. Also I could play in Danish Kroner which means playing 9-lines in Thunderstruck lowest domination would cost 0.09 D.Kr which is 0.015$. Really a nice microlimit casino for me.

CasinoNordica announced today that they are closing 2nd July. That must be an MG record! The Poker room is staying open apparently.

Weird - was this an affiliate's notice, Simmo? There's nothing up on the site yet and as far as I know there have been no notifications from Microgaming?

Their Poker is on the Merge Poker network btw....and they have (had?) mobile from MGS, too.
