I didnt realise UK players cant play at English Harbour anymore. Came s a bit of a shock to me. Company policy apparantly. How blatantly stupid is that?
However in their terms and conditions :-
4.The Company does not accept wagers from players residing in Canada, The Netherlands, Louisiana, Maryland Oregon or Missouri. The Company reserves the right to block Players from any jurisdiction.
There is No mention of the UK being unable to play with them. So who is lying here? Their website or the live customer service rep?
The UK has lead the way to formalise online gambling by introducing formal regulation into law, rather than attempting to ban it through increasingly draconian legislation as many countries have. Our reward, we are not wanted in their "premises".
I am suspicious now that some of these casinos RELY on the fact that their players do not have the law on their side, and cannot really complain to their authorities when they get screwed over, now the UK has this remote gambling act, we can be VERY FRANK with our banks, regulators, etc when we get screwed over, we can safely admit it was at an online casino WITHOUT fear of having our bank accounts frozen and "investigated" as has happened to a few US players who have taken their grievance up with their banks.
The plus side is that we have a good choice, since there are no laws that stifle online casinos from taking deposits from UK players. If they get a "whitelist" gaming licence, they can even advertise on television and in newspapers.
