I too really enjoy Nifty's posts. He can be somewhat abrupt at times but I believe this is due to his passion on many subjects. Forums are full of all sorts of people and I believe everyone should be allowed a voice(Other than trolls and fraudsters of course!) and a home at CM.

I agree he appears to truly care about the subjects he gets involved in here at CM. I just hope he isn't gone for too long. He has so much knowledge and experience that we don't want to lose that for the forum.

I picture Nifty as someone who looks like my Math school teacher when I was nine years old. He was very tall, booming scottish voice, (in church he would sing the loudest but really, really bad, lol) harsh at times. He always wore a twead jacket and finely pressed trousers.

I was scared of him but when it came down to it, Mr.Curtis ( the math teacher) really cared about us.

(He hugged me when my brother died and let me sleep at my desk)

...so Nifty has a heart , he cares about the industry but doesn't suffer 'fools' lightly.
He makes me laugh and he makes me bang my head...lol. ...he has super powers

I know I'm opening myself up for some real funny bs on this one but it's a true story and I was going to tell Nifty as soon as he quits being mad at me :Angel:

I had a dream about a month ago that I went to visit him and his wife and I believe it was in Scotland. In the hills. My grandmother went with me which is probably why it was Scotland although she has been gone for 30 years. With me more in spirit I imagine.

Anyway, Nifty and his wife were an attractive couple. In their 20's. lol I of course got to be my real age. They were surrounded by little children and relatives and everyone seemed happy like it was a holiday. And then it was time to go and as we were leaving, Nifty's pretty wife said very sweetly, thank you for coming - don't do it again. That was it and we left.

I woke up and decided I'd been spending way too much time in this place but I've got to agree, the place ain't the same without ya. Don't lurk too long, it's bad for your health.

The other 1% should have just kept their jibes to themselves.

I just needed a break to reassess my perspective on things. I did some waybacking to my old posts of years ago and I can't believe how grumpy I became and how I allowed myself to get sidetracked by trolls and those with an agenda. I certainly have a good idea of how I want to be and how I want to contribute going forward.

I'm looking forward to lots more fun and lots more ignoring of issues that don't matter in the wider scheme of things, and mending a few bridges with some members I've been in conflict with for no good reason other than an opposing point of view.
