Hi to everyone!
I'm John and I'm new to Online Casino.
I wanna know if there are any good strategy or system to earn money through an online casino. I recently just deposited 300$ to an RTG powered casino. I'm hoping to raised it to at least 50 grand because I'm wanted to go to a culinary school in new york. I've started playing roulette and it earned me 16$ for about an hour of playing. I think it would take me a long time earn money to go to cooking school if i earned 16$/day. I'm also trying other ways to earn 50G by playing poker and lotteries. I would really appreciate any help, suggestions, or opinions. Thanks and sorry if i had to ask these question. I just really want to start school this year. Thank you.

Hi John

Assuming you're serious for a moment (!), your chances of turning $300 into $50k by gambling are so slim you'd have more chance of finding George Bush and Osama Bin Laden teaming up to organise the next UFPJ fundraiser. Or, put another way, it's not worth trying. You are far, far, far (etc) more likely to lose the $300 because of that b'stard

thing. No strategies will beat that long term, unless you can find a game with "positive expectation". Joker Poker at iNetBet springs to mind but that may have changed to < 100% now, I don't know. Even then, you'll still probably lose the $300 ;)

But hey, if you must, then only try if you can afford to lose the $300 and start over. GL :)

Cheers,

Simmo!

or if you play with quality bonuses
Even with quality bonuses no-one is going to make $50K.
I haven't even made that much in 8 years of 'bonus hunting' - and I've made profit every one of those years.

John, if you really are serious then please forget it. Even the most experienced online casino or poker players don't make that much in a year - it just ain't going to happen for you, sorry.

Online gaming is just fun entertainment. Yes you can make small long term profits from it as I have proved myself, but it is not a 'career option' for anyone and certainly NOT a solution to anyones financial problems. (Much more likely to cause them).

Take care.

I don't want to get into quoting specific numbers, but I will say that some players do better than you think. This is expected, as I understand that your method is not focused on maximizing expected gain.

In any case, the point I was trying to make was bonuses are a legitimate way to overcome the house edge referenced in Simmo's post, not that you can turn $300 into $#####.

Manipulating the bonuses is played out. it was possible back in 2000. Now all you have to read is the sites bonus terms. Online casino games are you against the house. If you lose the casino and affiliate wins. If you win, the casino and affiliate loses. They are not in the business of giving money away.

If you value a site and its games, play there and consider the bonuses as that, bonuses! Chase bonuses around and it will take away from your player experience and you might as well PAB now.

The variance is too high to consider $300 a profit making machine. I suggest you put your money on ricky hatton v manny pacquiao at 2/1. I expect the odds to drop nearer the event to 5/4. Stick it all on the next and repeat this formula x5 and you have met your target with change.

If you are going to take the odds, do it now before the value goes.

Manny hits like a sledgehammer but i expect ricky to win. Bear in mind you are playing against the odds

# Disclaimer - I am only putting $50 on it so dont shout at me if you take my advice.

I'd make an educated guess that there are over 10,000 online poker players in the world who make more than $50k a year if rakeback and bonuses are included, maybe even without them. Me being one of them for example (for last two years at least). The most succesful ones make $1million+ per year.

That would mean $5 billion won just by these players annually. It seems too much compared to the size of the online gambling industry.

You pretty much missed the train. To increase your bankroll from 300 to 50k in one year would have been extremely hard even in the good old days.

And if NC in your location means North Carolina you are even worse off. You are cut off from most of the quality bonuses that would increase your roll to a level where you could use more advanced strategies and handle the variance on high-risk/high-EV bonuses.

Ungaskii,

I really hope you're not serious about being able to turn $300.00 into $50,000.00. If it were a simple process it would be called "winning" not "gambling", casinos would go bankrupt and everyone would be rich as hell.

There is no guaranteed way to make money gambling online. There are certain strategies which have been known to prove successful in getting positive returns, but they are still not even close to foolproof. When you simply deposited the $300, you should be very happy if you return a 2x total payout of $600, many gamblers would consider that a success.

If you legitimately want to make money gambling, turn to online, multi-person poker - not slots. Playing games like Texas Hold'em online has allowed many players to gain wealth as well as notoriety on television shows such as the World Poker Tour and the World Series of Poker. Your best odds are here, but again, not foolproof.

If you would like to go to school, but have no money, take out some loans and get a job. If you are dedicated to cooking it is entirely possible to recoup all of your expenses and then some in the first five years of your career. Furthermore, there are many government programs which help pay for schooling.

In short, coming here and saying "how can I get rich?" is a huge slap in the face to all of the gamblers here. It's a fair question to ask what are ways to increase my chances of winning online, but there is no way, with the snap of fingers, you can expect to instantly turn a few hundred bucks into five figures. Nothing in life comes easy, though I'm sure that's what your parents may have brought you up to believe. Work for it. Bill Gates did. Donald Trump did. If you truly enjoy the culinary arts and are dedicated to this, a few loans will pay themselves off in no time.

Good luck to you.

CK

Without trying to sound like I'm offering false hope here, go back a few years and with the sort of bonuses that were going about, if you were prepared to lose big, you could make a fortune.

Even if it was possible now, with the amount of bonus banning that's going on these days, the chances of making that are close to impossible. Unless you decided to go high rolling on video poker or slots or something, and hit some huge jackpot. Impossible? No. Improbable? Yes.

When I went to law school, I saw the fees and it almost put me off. Now, not far down the line, I'm glad I didn't. But I always tried to find ways of making money to pay for it. Some of them worked, some of them didn't. But it taught me that the best way to achieve what I wanted was to go through the logical approach. Sure, nobody wants to be in debt, but if it's going to be worth it in the future then that's what you have to do.

I can see where this will lead if you pursue. I'd had a bout of it. Simply - you'll go chasing. Whether it be being taken in by huge bonuses offered by casinos who later turn out to be rogue, and thus you lose everything, or you are drawn in by the idea of winning that you have the 'cannot lose' attitude, and when it comes, it comes as a surprise, and you end up chasing what you've lost in the hope of winning big, and then that doesn't come, and before you know it, the situation could occur whereby you can't achieve what you want.

That's what almost happened to me anyway. Almost being the word, because I saw sense, but it could have come a lot earlier.

The only real way to make money other than working, is interest from your savings in the bank. Now of course, given the current economic climate, that's not going to pay off. But low (or even 0 interest rates, depending where you are) will work for loans, so you can get that loan you needed at little extra expense.

I really wouldn't advocate trying to use casinos to make money. Play them for fun, if you win, no matter how small it might seem, take it. You've beaten the casino. And that doesn't happen often :)

Interest in the bank Kris?

You are from the UK. We play online in $$$.

The weakness in the dollar has produced profit for us over the last couple of months just by sitting on our balance.

Poker withdrawals - v $

22 dec 2008 # $1000 = 669.80

3 feb 2009 # $1000 = 701.40

Now thats a healthy interest rate:thumbsup:

Thanks for all the advice/suggestions/opinions from everyone. To update you all with my 300 $ money, i was able to raise it from 300 to 500 playing the roulette. Unfortunately, I lost everything i have after 3 days of playing roulette. Now i know that the Martingale system doesn't work in the long run.
Anyway, Although i lost, I had some fun gambling and I've learned a lesson. Hopefully i wouldn't make the same mistakes.

Thanks for the advice Bro.
I think that i would be risking my money if i bet it for ricky instead of manny.
Anyways, i'm sure that its gonna be a good fight regardless of who wins.

Thanks for the advice bro. I've lost all my money through roulette and i proved to myself that there is no system that would work all the time.
Regarding the loans, I'm just a little scared cause I'm not sure if I'm gonna be able to pay off the loans after i graduate.

Your from NY right? I'm thinking of going to Institute of Culinary Education (ICE). Do you have any thoughts about that school. Are they a reputable School.

I guess getting loans is the last resort for my situation.
Anyway, I'm still gonna try to find other ways to earn 50G's if not then i'll just loan some money.

I like your style!

I think I came across the idea of making money through buying and selling currency a bit too late this time. Although when I went to America at new year I'd bought a load of dollars when the rate was 2:1, so I saved there. But getting money for nothing - that's pretty good :)
