New person here, my experiences and my way of gambling

Hi, have been gambling since about 2005-ish, after viewing this site on and off for months I've decided to join.

My basic story is, I've been gambling for about 3 years now.
At some times it has been a bit compulsive, I once had an overdraft of 600, but reduced that to 25 and therefore decided to control my gambling to around a max of around 55 a fortnight.

Although not in any debt apart from the overdraft. I decided last month to exclude myself from the bookies in order to control my addiction to the machines there and put measures to ban myself from several casinos that I've gone overboard on.(to anyone who uses bet365 as a warning, try to see if you can limit the deposits, I once did it to 100 per week, but the site won't let me go down any further :S so I changed my password to something unrememberable and decided to auto delete their emails)

Other casinos I've decided to ban myself from is ladbrokes(it was done automatically after I excluded myself from the bookies, but I used same method to make an unrememberable password beforehand) and a handful of other sites.

As of now, the only sites I do go on to bet is betfair(minus everything but the poker and the sportsbook, max 15 a week), and I recently joined Betvoyager (which have very kindly limited my deposits to 50 euros a week I might add).

Things I'm aware of here

After visiting this site a couple of times about the RTG casinos that seem to regularly offer free chips I've decided to not use them anymore (despite never depositing there anyway), knowing that they often don't pay.

And I'm aware of Pamper's casino, any bets(1x max cashout value! :P ) if that will be the worst/stupidest named casino of 2008?

Thanks for reading and hopefully me and everyone here have happier gambling sessions ahead :)

Hi shoust

Sorry to hear about your problems with gambling and the fact you have gone to the extreme of excluding yourself from high street bookmakers which involves taking photos signing in front of the manager at the shop a form of exclusion makes me think and im sure others here that the sensible way forward for you is to try quit completely sadly..for most gambling like myself isa form of entertainment however for a growing number its becoming a problem..Now the reason im sure you excluded from high street bookies is probably and im only presuming thanks to the FOBTs but trust me anyone with such a problem MAY be able to control for a very short time the amounts played but that i gurantee wont last sadly...maybe you should have a read through the link below and i seriously wish you all the best....

Welcome aboard mate, why are you closing accouts with certain bookies then opening brand new ones else where, what was the reason for closing your account at these other places anyway??

Arent you shooting yourself in the foot if your trying to cut down??

Most of my initial gambling was in the bookies fobt terminals, which I initially started playing roulette on, however as time passed, I was getting more addicted to the video poker parts and losing more money than I won. Decided it was the last straw when I lost almost the remainder of what I had left there(this is money I can afford to lose, however though at times I didn't keep alot of money away for the week or 2 ahead, for recreational activities etc.).

I joined betfair around about 2 years ago, but I've set limits on it now, plus I've banned myself from everything there except the poker and sportsbook, although I don't lose as much on poker, I did on the sidegames.

BetVoyager is a relatively new one I joined before I decided cutting down there too, but so far I haven't joined any new casino since.

How do you make a password that is not memorable? You always have to type it in twice, thus you will remember it after typing it in the second time.

Simple, put it in a note, copy it, paste it twice then delete the note :P
