New members/old members..why your username?

There was a thread a few years ago where we all said why we picked our usernames. I figured since there are so many new members within the last few years, we should have another thread about this. I find these kinds of threads entertaining, everyone can post and talk to each other.

I'll start. :D

Everyone thinks my username is about casinos, but it's not. I play online pool (billiards) and I don't like to chat when playing, it messes up my game and I like to win. So I eventually changed my name to "Just Play", hoping the people I was playing against got my drift. So when I came here, I just picked that name.

I have no clue why I picked mine really because it doesn't mean anything :eek2:

What I do know about it is that everyone probably are pronouncing it wrong, except for the few Swedish members here.
It should be sounding like Terelay.
Boring me :)

hahahahaha...I pronounce it Trill-itch...I have no idea why, lol. I think because when I first saw it, I must have skimmed it and thought there was an "r" after the "t"...I have no idea where I got the "itch" from. Maybe in my mind it sounds like "lej". I'm still gonna pronounce it my way tho, I can't go and change it now after all these years.

Mine is really stupid, and I thought about changing it like a million times, but oh well ;)
Was a nickname I "earned" some 35 years ago ... something about heavy intake of a certain (home brewed) beverage, getting dressed up in a woman's night dress, and walking to the bakery and back at 6 in the morning in this condition, to get everyone breakfast.
I'm sure at least the woman working at the bakery still remembers that horrible Sunday morning, poor woman ;)
Can I change my name here, by any chance ?

:lolup::lolup::lolup:

I'm dying!!!

It's a contraction of a pet name that Mrs Chopley had for me when we first started going out together, she called me 'My little chopley turnip'. (Hey, we were young and in the first throes of love!)

I've used it, or some variation of it, ever since, for just about everything I do online.

This is great! I always wondered why some posters had certain names.

Me_and_Ed owned a pizza place but hates pizza

You know how long it took me to figure out what IOM meant in Chops name...lmao...I swear I'm loosing it!!!

I always thought dionysus first name was Dion.

Spiritual, guys in dresses, fans of sports, no meaning at all, done over, the stories are great...love it!

"Voodoo" was the name of my precious, black Cat.

I think I will always continue to use "Voodookitty" as my user name. (he was also 'good luck', to have around)
Using his name keeps him close to me. (OK, fine - maybe, I am turning into a 'crazy cat lady') :eek2:

I miss Voodoo, so much.... he passed away at a near 20 years old, last July

Oh no Pina!!! Share your story please :p (even tho I already know how you got your name :D ) You want me to tell?

Jeezus....you remember? My God, I thought I had a mind like a steel trap...ha ha.

I'll have to come back and share...just in the middle of something.

You are a bad, bad girl JP.

B= bruno (1st name)

My username is from my days playing Elimination BlackJack at Absolute Poker...(Yeah, I know) back a few years ago.

If you know the game, there is a 'secret' option that you can use to hide your bet from other players....;)

So, nothing secret about me, just me title.:)

Great thread, btw JP!

Now I'm thinking it might be personal.......

Oh well, that's what Rampant Rabbits are for. Sometimes we have to yield in the face of technology, I certainly don't come equipped with little vibrating ears.

Don't worry about it. When my partner first saw mine, she said "No ta, I roll my own". :(

In a nutshell, back in the 90's a girl that was writing her online diary on a semi-popular website used that name when she was talking about me so my girlfriend at the time wouldn't know that she was referring to me (she eventually found out, of course). I still use it occasionally (but not much).

It's also the name of an old cartoon character from the 70's (see my avatar) that I was watching when I was little.

Ok,

Mine is boring...... My legal first name (which I hate and don't use) is Louise. Most people that know me,

know I go by my middle name, Diane.

Anyway, years ago, a couple of employees at a local bowling alley where we bowled league started calling

me weesie and it stuck.

Told ya it was boring!

Then too, David has some names for me:

pita (pain in the ass)

weebus ( think sickness)

snit (no idea)

sometimes combined to pita-weebus-snit

I call him sweetsie-bug

Mine is quite self-explanatory, although it wasn't actually the Chuzzle game I was addicted to, it was the Chuzzle slot based on the game. I spent most of last year playing the Chuzzle slot, so much so that I could see it when I closed my eyes. Eventually enough was enough and I turned my back on the little critters, although still think highly of that slot as it had some very generous free-spin rounds that served me well. I sort of wish I could have a different name now though as my Chuzzle days are behind me!

Extract from my website (reproduced WITH my permission...):

I was already starting to be pretty good at winning online when early in 2002 I was introduced to the husband of my wife’s friend’s, friend. This guy introduced me to the game of poker – something I have never forgiven him for because it cost me $1,000’s!! :(

For about 6 months I occasionally went to a little ‘poker school’ with him, playing mostly Omaha for relatively low stakes. I won some & lost some, but always enjoyed it. The real poker games stopped when my new friend got heavily into debt due to letting his gambling get out of control, and he just suddenly gave up all betting completely. Shortly afterwards he moved away and we lost all contact.

Anyway, the whole point of this story is that he called himself ‘Poker Prince’ – he even had a cap with this name embroidered on the front. (How sad :p) It was this that gave me the idea to start calling myself ‘Kasino King’ – and as you can tell, I’ve stuck with it ever since!

"BingoT"
I started running Bingo bus trips 25 years ago to Foxwoods Resort Casino & the name of my business is BingoT's Bus Tours LLC.
And the "T" is for Tom
And everyone calls me BingoT
Last week marked my 25th year
& the other name I use "PartyT" & this is from years back because I like to Party.

My name came from skidoo snowmobile just started using it for username after I purchased it. But my name is Mari and my husband and all of my good friends call me Scari because of the things I say. Always funny when we go into new bar or at out of town bar....If I am not right there when my husband orders...he tells bartender to call me ScariMari and they think he is being mean. He says no its a compliment...you will fall in love with my wife because she is so funny. I am a redhead who has no problem talking about anything and turning it into humor. I feel very blessed in life and tell people I was born happy. I am 47 years old and besides dealing with sad times...you probably can't find a person that has ever seen me in a bad mood, including my kids. Great thread JP

Mines pretty self-explanatory, my name is John, I'm 6'2" tall and I weigh about 320 lbs. When I was little my Uncle next door called me 'BigJohn' and it stuck. I was almost 9 lbs at birth.
