Hi everyone,

I’m from Portugal. I’ve been an active online player for several years, mostly focused on sports betting and casino as a VIP member.

I’ve decided to join the Casinomeister community because I am currently facing a very serious situation with a well-known operator (Leon Bet). After a 'hot run' where I reached a balance of €80,000, my account was permanently blocked and funds confiscated immediately after I passed a security phone interview.

I have already initiated several steps (GDPR requests to their EU payment agent and complaints to mediators), but I’ve heard that this community is the best place to get expert perspective on how to handle such high-value disputes with offshore/hybrid licensed operators.

Looking forward to sharing more details in the proper section and getting to know you all.

Best regards

Looks like you might be preying that the complaints team can somehow salvage your 80k. This outfit are licensed in Anjouan, which offers you little to no protection. In fact, there was a recent article was published on CM warning players about this questionable licensing jurisdiction - abc.net.au takes a critical look at Anjouan licensing - Casinomeister Forum

The OP would be wise to read through it and avoid any casinos with a license from this Island. Stay away from Costa Rica and Tobique while you are at it.

I recommend submitting a complaint and hoping for the best.

What is their reason for confiscation of funds?
Leon.bet confiscated €78,000 citing Terms 7.1/7.2 (Fraud) immediately after I passed a detailed security phone interview where I proved my identity and account ownership. No evidence of fraud has been provided. This is a bad-faith attempt to void legitimate winnings. I have already escalated this to the Cyprus Data Protection Commissioner as their payment agent (Chessmate Ltd) is based in the EU.

I know that thats why I have officially instructed legal counsel in Larnaca, Cyprus, to initiate legal proceedings against Chessmate Limited to freeze the disputed funds and seek a court order for the release of the security call recording, which proves I passed your verification. Let's see

Yes, definitely lets see.

Sounds like you are doing everything in your power to recoup the money that is owed to you. You have been wronged, as you have done everything that has been asked of you. However, casinos like this one operate in a world of minimal governance and oversight. There is no international police force that will prosecute these guys, no legal power to get to them while they hide out on their island under the cover of some dubious license.

If you have your legal team pushing then probably wise to wait a while before submitting a complaint at the forum. You were wise to start this thread, as this forum has a lot of authority and therefore this will start appearing in search results for Leonbet. The more noise people make about their bad experiences, the fewer places there are to hide for outfits that wont pay their players.
