NS has decided to close my account! "suspicious activity" is the reason given.....i know its from some rtg charges from last week:mad: so watch your asses people. i am told they sent a letter....as i only heard from CS this morning....freeeeeeeeeeeeeakin great:mad:

ack!! Sorry to hear it.

doom sayer and negative nanny that I am... I figure you won't be the only one that gets kicked to the curb.

Jelsmith, you were still depositing directly to the casinos, right? NS did notify me and I guess, the other card holders that you could no longer use it to directly deposit to casinos.

There is no difference between making a deposit to NS by card or ACH as far as NS goes that I can see so I don't see why ACH would work any better.

QT depositing with my card is still working fine. Knock on wood! LOL!

Anyone ever tried an Upside Visa?

Read the fine print....it's a Green Dot card....

I see that. Even still a different issuing bank that greendot.

But I never used a prepaid card to play so I'm not really up on them.
Are you saying Greendot cards don't work?

Some say they do, but I'm not sure where exactly they do work, because greendot cards are about the most anti-gambling cards you can find....so they must have found a loophole, somewhere...

UIGEA regs effective june 1

The regulations seem to target "gift/money" cards as a seperate issue. Unlike using a bank card or debit card the issuer of the gift card has no banking relationship with you. Read my previous post regarding this or vist bankersonline for more info and link to the regs issued by the fed.

I use all access gift cards. They are issued by netspend but have a prepaid amount on them. So far they have worked for me at the very few places I play. Just a thought. As far as I know the green dot and the vanilla cards will not work.

NS is still hit and miss. I know they no longer work at Pokerstars nor some other places. Nothing is 100%, anymore.

If you are in the US and are using them at RTG's where it shows as "fashion dubai" or "bicycle shop" etc etc etc....thats what i got busted for. I was using it direct at the cashier at RTGs....so the banking industry is getting smarter....they froze my account then they asked if I would explain the charges and I said NUNYA and then they closed my account.....

So now i buy the throw aways:D

Me, too..I haven't used my reloadable NS in months :) The WU reload fees here are the same as the $50 gift cards, so there's really no difference...actually, there is.....if I loaded my NS card, I'd be paying $1 more for each transaction :D

I had ACH going there and paid the $5 a month and no extra fees (only atm withdraw fees) so when they shut me down...they really stuck it :xxx

I only buy the disposable ones, but some don't work, or don't work consistently. My bank still allowing me to use ViSA card, not sure why, but not complaining either. But mostly I still use the disposable. No registration and so far no problem.
