After a few minutes in the queue, message came up that due to volume would I please email or call.
What a surprise....not

Have received email from casino stating that Instacash would no longer be accepted.

Ok, I'm going to try later...

Ya'll send me care packages in the slammer, ok?

Neteller

Looks like it is Neteller that have put this block on, not the casino. The message mentions "transfer TO this merchant", the grammar of the text indicates this is a Neteller decision.

Looks like many of us were right, the loss of Instacash was just the start, they seem to be in the process of closing down ALL gambling deposits from US players with Neteller accounts. They need do no more, this is enough to comply with the latest bill. Perhaps they have struck a deal with the DoJ to get the charges dropped and the two founders released. This would do less damage than losing the case in court and having the company found guilty of money laundering.
Check to see if the shares remain suspended tomorrow. This would indicate that further shocks are in the pipeline, as if the suspension was just about getting the announcement about Instacash out, the shares would resume trading tomorrow. Companies dislike long suspensions, as it creates doubt among investors. Short term (1 day) suspensions are used to prevent a false market during unfolding developments. We had this on Monday, with players finding out about the loss of instacash before an official announcement was made to the stockmarket. This was added to the speculation that was circulating after the arrests. Now the full charges have been revealed, and the instacash announcement made, all information should be out in the open.
We may know more by the end of tomorrow, and certainly by Friday. The fallout from this could be considerable, as casinos will be cut off from US players, even if only temporarily while they look for alternative deposit methods, which may also dry up over the next couple of weeks.
If I was a US player, I would withdraw everything, and just wait and watch for the next month or so until at least one of these cases gets to court and a verdict is delivered that might indicate how serious this situation really is for the industry. I would NOT close any accounts though, as I would leave open the option of coming back if case there was a political view change, even if became necessary to wait for the next presidential elections!

US member update

Effective Immediately

Due to recent US legislative changes and events, effective immediately, US members are no longer able to transfer funds to or from any online gambling sites.

All US members will continue to be able to use their NETELLER e-wallet account to safely transfer funds to and from non-gambling merchants and are not required to close their account or withdraw their funds.

Excuse me? What other merchant can I send money to? Other than casinos??

Children, cover your ears....

DAMMIT!!!

Maybe for them to stay afloat, they'll start venturing into other markets, such as auction sites, major retailers, etc.

EDIT: Now that this is confirmed, can we keep the Neteller talk in the main thread now?

Hard to keep up with 2 threads about the same subject, and that way there's no redundant posts/information.

Reason for separate post

Hi ya..
Reason I made this a separate thread was because the other was discussing primarily Instacash and my attempted deposits were not Instacash.

No problems with it being moved so Casinomeister, if you'd like to move (or lock) feel free

Happy trails!

Yep yep...good idea on the new thread :) That way it didn't get buried.

I just got a withdrawal from Club USA to my Neteller account and thought I would try iNetBet with a bit of it. So Neteller is no longer an option at all to US customers!

GO TO HELL BUSH & COMPANY!

Is there a thread around here somewhere discussing deposit options? I'm sure there is, but my crappy searches are turning up crappy results. I'm so mad I can't see straight, so I'm probably missing the relevant thread. I know these other methods would only be temporary respite, but ... it's my money and it's my damned business how I want to spend it!

Search the forum for Netspend, alot of threads will show up...the latest ones are the most relevant.

Right now, the best options you have are either Netspend cards, or WU.
